Romans 14
1 Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
Al enfermo en la fe recibíd le, sin andar en contiendas de opiniones.
2 One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.
Porque uno cree que se ha de comer de todas cosas: otro enfermo come legumbres.
3 Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.
El que come, no menosprecie al que no come; y el que no come, no juzgue al que come; porque Dios le ha recibido.
4 Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
¿Tú, quién eres, que juzgas el siervo ajeno? Para su señor está en pie, o cae; mas, se afirmará: que poderoso es Dios para afirmarle.
5 One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
Uno juzga que hay diferencia entre día y día: otro juzga iguales todos los días. Cada uno esté asegurado en su mismo ánimo.
6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks.
El que hace caso del día, lo hace para el Señor; y el que no hace caso del día, para el Señor no lo hace. El que come, para el Señor come; porque da gracias a Dios; y el que no come, para el Señor no come, y da gracias a Dios.
7 For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
Porque ninguno de nosotros vive para sí; y ninguno muere para sí.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
Que si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos; y si morimos, para el Señor morimos. Así que, o que vivamos, o que muramos, del Señor somos.
9 For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Porque Cristo para esto murió, y resucitó, y volvió a vivir, para enseñorearse así de los muertos como de los que viven.
10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Mas tú ¿por qué juzgas a tu hermano? O tú también ¿por qué menosprecias a tu hermano? porque todos hemos de comparecer delante del tribunal de Cristo.
11 For it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.’”
Pues escrito está: Vivo yo, dice el Señor, que a mí se doblará toda rodilla; y toda lengua confesará a Dios.
12 So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.
De manera que cada uno de nosotros dará a Dios razón de sí.
13 Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.
Así que, no juzguemos más los unos a los otros; mas antes juzgád esto, que nadie ponga tropiezo al hermano, o ocasión de caer.
14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Yo sé, y estoy persuadido en el Señor Jesús, que nada hay de suyo inmundo; mas a aquel que piensa ser inmunda alguna cosa, a aquel le es inmunda.
15 Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.
Empero si por causa de tu comida tu hermano es contristado, ya no andas conforme a la caridad. No eches a perder con tu comida a aquel por el cual Cristo murió.
16 Then don’t let your good be slandered,
Que no se hable mal, pues, de vuestro bien:
17 for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Porque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida; sino justicia, y paz, y gozo en el Espíritu Santo.
18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Porque el que en esto sirve a Cristo, agrada a Dios, y es acepto a los hombres.
19 So then, let’s follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.
Sigamos pues lo que hace a la paz, y a la edificación de los unos a los otros.
20 Don’t overthrow God’s work for food’s sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.
No destruyas la obra de Dios por causa de la comida. Todas las cosas a la verdad son limpias; mas malo es para el hombre que come con ofensa.
21 It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.
Bueno es no comer carne, ni beber vino, ni nada en que tu hermano tropiece, o se ofenda, o se enflaquezca.
22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn’t judge himself in that which he approves.
¿Tú, tienes fe? Tén la contigo delante de Dios. Bienaventurado el que no se condena a sí mismo con lo que aprueba.
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it isn’t of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.
Mas el que duda, si comiere, es condenado, porque no comió con fe; y todo lo que no es de fe, es pecado.
