< Romans 13 >

1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
AMEN amen en upa kaun akan, me kin poe irail edi, pwe jota kaun akan me jota jan ren Kot, a waja kaun akan mia, nan irail me ren Kot.
2 Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment.
Ari, me pan katiwo on kaun akan kin katiwo on kujoned en Kot, a me katiwo kan, pan lodi on kapun.
3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority,
Pwe jaupeidi kan jota kin kamajakki, me kin wia mau, pwe me kin wia me jued. A ma koe jota men majak kaun akan, en wiada me mau, koe ap pan indandeki pa’rail.
4 for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.
Pwe a papan Kot o iei me mau on uk, a ma koe wia me jued, majak, pwe a jota kin wa mal kodlaj. Pwe a papan Kot o, pwen kame me wia jued.
5 Therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.
lei me komail en peiki on, a kaidin pweki kamekam a pweki injen omail.
6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing.
Iei me komail pil wiai on nopwei, pwe irail me papan Kot, me kin kaukaule papa wet.
7 Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Komail ari kapunala omail pwaipwand on amen amen! Takjij on me takjij kin wiaui on, nopwei on me nopwei kin wiaui on; majak, me majak kin ko on; ki on wau, me wau kin ko on.
8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Der pwaipwandeki meakot on amen; iet eta: Omail limpok pena, pwe me kin pok on amen, kin kapwaiada kapun o.
9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Pwe iet akan: Koe der kamal! Koe der kamela aramaj! Koe der pirap! Koe der norok! o ma pil eu kujoned mia, iet orlepa: Koe en pok on men imp om due pein uk!
10 Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
Limpok jota kin wia jued on men imp a. Ari, limpok audepan kapun.
11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.
O pil met: Kitail en dedeki duen anjau o, pwe auer leler, me kitail en pirida jan mair, pwe anjaun atail dorela me koren jan ni tapin atail pojon.
12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.
Ponpon daulier, a ran me korendor. Kitail en pwilikidi wiawian rotorot akan, ap ale tatan marain.
13 Let’s walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.
Kitail en kekeid ni tiak mau, pwe ni ran; der kaped en mana de kamom joko, der jamin de jaut, de luak, de peirin.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
A komail ale Kaun lejuj Krijtuj, o der kanonala pali uduk, pwen aneda a inon jued.
