Revelation 7
1 After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth, or on the sea, or on any tree.
Senjälkeen minä näin neljä enkeliä seisovan maan neljällä kulmalla ja pitävän kiinni maan neljää tuulta, ettei mikään tuuli pääsisi puhaltamaan maan päälle eikä meren päälle eikä yhteenkään puuhun.
2 I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,
Ja minä näin erään muun enkelin kohoavan auringonnoususta, ja hänellä oli elävän Jumalan sinetti, ja hän huusi suurella äänellä niille neljälle enkelille, joille oli annettu valta vahingoittaa maata ja merta,
3 saying, “Don’t harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the bondservants of our God on their foreheads!”
ja sanoi: "Älkää vahingoittako maata älkääkä merta, älkää myös puita, ennenkuin me olemme painaneet sinetin Jumalamme palvelijain otsaan".
4 I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the children of Israel:
Ja minä kuulin sinetillä merkittyjen luvun, sata neljäkymmentä neljä tuhatta merkittyä kaikista Israelin lasten sukukunnista:
5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
Juudan sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta merkittyä, Ruubenin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Gaadin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta,
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
Asserin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Naftalin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Manassen sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta,
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
Simeonin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Leevin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Isaskarin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta,
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, and of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
Sebulonin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Joosefin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta, Benjaminin sukukunnasta kaksitoista tuhatta merkittyä.
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Tämän jälkeen minä näin, ja katso, oli suuri joukko, jota ei kukaan voinut lukea, kaikista kansanheimoista ja sukukunnista ja kansoista ja kielistä, ja ne seisoivat valtaistuimen edessä ja Karitsan edessä puettuina pitkiin valkeihin vaatteisiin, ja heillä oli palmut käsissään,
10 They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,
Ja kaikki enkelit seisoivat piirissä valtaistuimen ja vanhinten ja neljän olennon ympärillä ja lankesivat kasvoilleen valtaistuimen eteen ja kumartaen rukoilivat Jumalaa,
12 saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (aiōn g165)
sanoen: "Amen! Ylistys ja kirkkaus ja viisaus ja kiitos ja kunnia ja voima ja väkevyys meidän Jumalallemme aina ja iankaikkisesti, amen!" (aiōn g165)
13 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”
Ja yksi vanhimmista puhui minulle ja sanoi: "Keitä ovat nämä pitkiin valkeihin vaatteisiin puetut, ja mistä he ovat tulleet?"
14 I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.
Ja minä sanoin hänelle: "Herrani, sinä tiedät sen". Ja hän sanoi minulle: "Nämä ovat ne, jotka siitä suuresta ahdistuksesta tulevat, ja he ovat pesseet vaatteensa ja valkaisseet ne Karitsan veressä.
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.
Sentähden he ovat Jumalan valtaistuimen edessä ja palvelevat häntä päivät ja yöt hänen temppelissään, ja hän, joka valtaistuimella istuu, on levittävä telttamajansa heidän ylitsensä.
16 They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat;
Ei heidän enää tule nälkä eikä enää jano, eikä aurinko ole sattuva heihin, eikä mikään helle,
17 for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
sillä Karitsa, joka on valtaistuimen keskellä, on kaitseva heitä ja johdattava heidät elämän vetten lähteille, ja Jumala on pyyhkivä pois kaikki kyyneleet heidän silmistänsä."
