Revelation 5
1 I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.
Puis je vis dans la main droite de Celui qui était assis sur le trône un livre écrit intérieurement et sur le revers, scellé de sept sceaux.
2 I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?”
Et je vis un ange puissant criant d'une voix forte: « Qui est-ce qui est digne d'ouvrir le livre, et d'en rompre les sceaux? »
3 No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book or to look in it.
Et personne dans le ciel, ni sur la terre, ni sous la terre, ne pouvait ouvrir le livre ni le regarder.
4 Then I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look in it.
Et moi je pleurais abondamment, en voyant qu'il ne se trouvait personne qui fût digne d'ouvrir le livre ni de le regarder.
5 One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome: he who opens the book and its seven seals.”
Et l'un des anciens me dit: « Ne pleure pas. Voici, il a réussi, le lion de la tribu de Juda, la racine de David, à ouvrir le livre et ses sept sceaux. »
6 I saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.
Et voici, au milieu du trône et des quatre animaux et au milieu des anciens, était un agneau qui paraissait immolé: il avait sept cornes, et sept yeux qui sont les esprits de Dieu envoyés sur toute la terre.
7 Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
Et il vint, et il prît de la main droite de Celui qui était assis sur le trône,
8 Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
et lorsqu'il eut pris le livre, les quatre animaux et les vingt-quatre anciens se prosternèrent devant l'agneau, tenant chacun une harpe et des coupes d'or pleines de parfums, qui sont les prières des saints, et ils chantent un chant nouveau, en disant:
9 They sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,
« Tu es digne de prendre le livre et d'en ouvrir les sceaux, Car tu as été immolé, Et tu as racheté pour Dieu, par ton sang, Des gens de toute tribu, langue, peuple et nation,
10 and made us kings and priests to our God; and we will reign on the earth.”
Et tu en as fait un royaume et des prêtres, Et ils règnent sur la terre. »
11 I looked, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. The number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands,
Et je vis, et j'entendis la voix d'anges nombreux autour du trône et des animaux et des anciens; et leur nombre se comptait par myriades de myriades et par milliers de milliers. Ils disaient d'une voix forte:
12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”
« L'agneau qui a été immolé est digne de recevoir la puissance, et la richesse, et la sagesse, et la force, et l'honneur, et la gloire, et la bénédiction! »
13 I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!” (aiōn g165)
Et tous les êtres créés qui sont dans le ciel et sur la terre et sous la terre et sur la mer, et toutes les choses qui s'y trouvent, je les entendis qui disaient: « A l'agneau qui est assis sur le trône appartiennent la bénédiction, l'honneur, la gloire, et la puissance, aux siècles des siècles! » (aiōn g165)
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen!” Then the elders fell down and worshiped.
Et les quatre animaux disaient: « Amen! » Et les anciens se prosternèrent et adorèrent.
