Revelation 11
1 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, “Rise and measure God’s temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
Und mir ward ein Rohr gegeben gleich einem Stabe, und gesagt: Mache dich auf, und miß den Tempel Gottes und den Altar und die darin anbeten.
2 Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.
Und den Vorhof, der außerhalb des Tempels ist, wirf hinaus und miß ihn nicht, weil er den Heiden gegeben ist; und sie werden die heilige Stadt zertreten zweiundvierzig Monate.
3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Und Meinen zwei Zeugen will Ich es geben, daß sie, mit Säcken umkleidet, tausendzweihundertsechzig Tage weissagen.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth.
Dies sind die zwei Ölbäume und die zwei Leuchter, die vor dem Gott der Erde stehen.
5 If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.
Und wenn einer sie will schädigen, so geht Feuer aus ihrem Munde aus und verzehrt ihre Feinde; und wenn jemand sie will schädigen, so muß er also getötet werden.
6 These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.
Diese haben Gewalt, den Himmel zu verschließen, daß in den Tagen ihrer Weissagung der Schauer nicht regne; und haben Gewalt über die Wasser, sie in Blut umzuwandeln, und die Erde zu schlagen mit allerlei Plage, so oft sie nur wollen.
7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
Und wenn sie ihr Zeugnis vollendet haben, wird das Tier, das aus dem Abgrund aufsteigt, Krieg mit ihnen führen und sie überwinden und sie töten. (Abyssos g12)
8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
Und ihre Leichen werden sein auf der Straße der großen Stadt, die geistig Sodom und Ägypten heißt, wo auch unser Herr gekreuzigt worden ist.
9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations, people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.
Und von den Völkern und Stämmen und Zungen und Völkerschaften werden welche deren Leichen drei und einen halben Tag sehen, und werden ihre Leichen nicht in die Grüfte legen lassen.
10 Those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
Und die auf Erden wohnen, werden sich über sie freuen und fröhlich sein und einander Geschenke schicken, weil diese zwei Propheten quälten, die auf Erden wohnen.
11 After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.
Und nach den drei und einen halben Tag kam der Geist des Lebens aus Gott in sie hinein, und sie standen auf ihre Füße, und große Furcht fiel auf die, so es schauten.
12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” They went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
Und sie hörten eine große Stimme aus dem Himmel ihnen sagen: Steiget hier herauf. Und sie stiegen auf in den Himmel in der Wolke, und ihre Feinde schauten sie.
13 In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Und zur selben Stunde ward ein großes Erdbeben, und der zehnte Teil der Stadt fiel, und wurden getötet in dem Erdbeben Namen von Menschen siebentausend. Und die übrigen gerieten in Furcht und gaben Herrlichkeit dem Gott des Himmels.
14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe comes quickly.
Das zweite Wehe ist vergangen. Siehe, das dritte Wehe kommt schnell.
15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!” (aiōn g165)
Und der siebente Engel posaunte, und es wurden große Stimmen im Himmel, die sprachen: Die Reiche der Welt sind unseres Herrn und seines Christus geworden, und Er wird regieren in die Zeitläufe der Zeitläufe. (aiōn g165)
16 The twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God’s throne, fell on their faces and worshiped God,
Und die vierundzwanzig Ältesten, die vor Gott auf ihren Thronen saßen, fielen auf ihre Angesichte und beteten Gott an,
17 saying: “We give you thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned.
Und sagten: Wir danken Dir, Herr, Gott, Allmächtiger, Der da ist, und Der da war, und Der da kommt, daß Du Deine große Kraft an Dich genommen und Dein Reich angetreten hast.
18 The nations were angry, and your wrath came, as did the time for the dead to be judged, and to give your bondservants the prophets, their reward, as well as to the saints and those who fear your name, to the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Und die Völkerschaften zürnten, und gekommen ist Dein Zorn und die Zeit der Toten, zu richten und den Lohn zu geben Deinen Knechten, den Prophe- ten und den Heiligen, und denen, die Deinen Namen fürchten, den Kleinen und den Großen und zu verderben, welche die Erde verderben.
19 God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.
Und der Tempel Gottes ward aufgetan im Himmel, und ward gesehen Seine Bundeslade in Seinem Tempel; und es geschahen Blitze und Stimmen und Donner und Erdbeben und großer Hagel.
