< Psalms 7 >

1 A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite. Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
Dawid adesrɛ dwom a Benyaminni Kus nsɛm enti ɔto maa Awurade. Ao, Awurade me Onyankopɔn, medwane metoa wo; Gye me firi wɔn a wɔtaa me nyinaa nsam,
2 lest they tear apart my soul like a lion, ripping it in pieces, while there is no one to deliver.
anyɛ saa a wɔbɛtete me mu sɛ gyata na wɔatete me mu asinasini a obiara rentumi nnye me.
3 Yahweh, my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,
Ao, Awurade me Onyankopɔn, sɛ mayɛ yei na sɛ afɔdie aba me so a,
4 if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me (yes, I have plundered him who without cause was my adversary),
sɛ mayɛ bɔne atia deɛ ɔne me te yie anaasɛ mabɔ me ɔtamfoɔ korɔno kwa a,
5 let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; yes, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. (Selah)
ɛnneɛ ma mʼatamfoɔ ntaa me na wɔmmɛto me; ma wɔntiatia me so wɔ fam na wɔmma me funu nna mfuturo mu.
6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.
Sɔre wʼabufuo mu, Ao Awurade! Sɔre tia mʼatamfoɔ abufuo. Nyane, me Onyankopɔn; hyɛ atɛntenee mmara.
7 Let the congregation of the peoples surround you. Rule over them on high.
Ma nnipadɔm mmɛtwa wo ho nhyia. Firi soro hɔ di wɔn so;
8 Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.
ma Awurade mmu nnipa no atɛn. Bu me atɛn, Ao Awurade sɛdeɛ me teneneeyɛ teɛ, sɛdeɛ me nokorɛdie teɛ, Ao Ɔsorosoroni.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.
Ao Onyankopɔn teneneeni, wo a wohwehwɛ adwene ne akoma mu, fa amumuyɛfoɔ basabasayɛ bra awieeɛ na ma ateneneefoɔ nya banbɔ.
10 My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
Mʼakokyɛm ne Ɔsorosoro Onyankopɔn deɛ ɔgye akoma mu teneneeni no.
11 God is a righteous judge, yes, a God who has indignation every day.
Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔtemmufoɔ teneneeni, Onyame a ɔda nʼabufuo adi da biara.
12 If a man doesn’t repent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow.
Sɛ wansesa nʼadwene a, ɔbɛse nʼakofena ano; ɔbɛkuntunu ne tadua na ɔde bɛmma ahyɛ mu.
13 He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.
Wasiesie ne kɔdiawuo akodeɛ; ayɛ ne bɛmma a ɛrederɛ no krado.
14 Behold, he travails with iniquity. Yes, he has conceived mischief, and brought out falsehood.
Deɛ ɔnyinsɛn amumuyɛ na basabasayɛ ahyɛ no ma no, ɔwo nnaadaa.
15 He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made.
Deɛ ɔtu tokuro na ɔyi mu dɔteɛ no hwe tokuro a watu no mu.
16 The trouble he causes shall return to his own head. His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.
Ɔhaw a ɔde ba no dane bɔ nʼankasa so; ne basabasayɛ bɔ nʼankasa tiri so.
17 I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.
Mede aseda bɛma Awurade ne tenenee enti na mato ayɛyi dwom ayi Awurade, Ɔsorosoroni no din ayɛ.
