< Psalms 142 >

1 A contemplation by David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer. I cry with my voice to Yahweh. With my voice, I ask Yahweh for mercy.
Dawid de. Bere a na ɔwɔ ɔbodan mu no. Mpaebɔ. Meteɛ mu su frɛ Awurade; mema me nne so su frɛ Awurade sɛ onhu me mmɔbɔ.
2 I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles.
Mihwie mʼahiasɛm gu nʼanim; meka me haw kyerɛ no.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, you knew my route. On the path in which I walk, they have hidden a snare for me.
Sɛ me kra tɔ beraw wɔ me mu a, ɛyɛ wo na wunim me kwan. Ɔkwan a menam so no nnipa asum me afiri.
4 Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul.
Hwɛ na hu, obiara nni me nifa so; mʼasɛm mfa obiara ho; minni guankɔbea bi; me nkwa mfa obiara ho.
5 I cried to you, Yahweh. I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
Awurade, misu frɛ wo; mise, “Wone me guankɔbea, me kyɛfa wɔ ateasefo asase so.”
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.
Tie me sufrɛ, na mewɔ ahohia kɛse mu; gye me fi mʼataafo nsam, efisɛ wɔn ho yɛ den sen me.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. The righteous will surround me, for you will be good to me.
Yi me fi mʼafiase, na makamfo wo din. Afei atreneefo betwa me ho ahyia esiane wo papa a woayɛ me no nti.
