< Psalms 124 >

1 A Song of Ascents. By David. If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, let Israel now say,
Pakai hi eiho langa anapanglou hikhataleh? Israelte jousen velseikit hen.
2 if it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, when men rose up against us,
Min eina delkhum pettah’un Pakai hi eiho langa anapanglou hikhataleh,
3 then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us,
amahon alunghan u deojah pum in ahingin eina vallhum tauvinte.
4 then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul.
Twi chun einachup uvintin, twikhanglen chun einalhohmang diu ahitai.
5 Then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
Hitia chu ichunguva twipi kitoltol ding ahiuve.
6 Blessed be Yahweh, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Igalmiteu einasuhmangsah louva Pakai chu thangvahna peuhite.
7 Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Eiho thaang kampa a kon a vacha ahoidoh banga hoidoh ihiuve. Thangpou chu akivobong tan eiho ihoidoh tauve.
8 Our help is in Yahweh’s name, who made heaven and earth.
Hitobanga kithopina chu van le lei sem ah Pakai a kon a imu’u ahi.
