Proverbs 8

1 Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?

۱ آیا حکمت ندا نمی کند، و فطانت آوازخود را بلند نمی نماید؟

2 On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.

۲ به‌سر مکان های بلند، به کناره راه، در میان طریقها می‌ایستد.

3 Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:

۳ به‌جانب دروازه‌ها به دهنه شهر، نزد مدخل دروازه‌ها صدا می‌زند.

4 “I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.

۴ که شما را‌ای مردان می‌خوانم و آواز من به بنی آدم است.

5 You simple, understand prudence! You fools, be of an understanding heart!

۵ ‌ای جاهلان زیرکی را بفهمید و‌ای احمقان عقل رادرک نمایید.

6 Hear, for I will speak excellent things. The opening of my lips is for right things.

۶ بشنوید زیرا که به امور عالیه تکلم می‌نمایم و گشادن لبهایم استقامت است.

7 For my mouth speaks truth. Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

۷ دهانم به راستی تنطق می‌کند و لبهایم شرارت را مکروه می‌دارد.

8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.

۸ همه سخنان دهانم بر‌حق است و درآنها هیچ‌چیز کج یا معوج نیست.

9 They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.

۹ تمامی آنهانزد مرد فهیم واضح است و نزد یابندگان معرفت مستقیم است.

10 Receive my instruction rather than silver, knowledge rather than choice gold.

۱۰ تادیب مرا قبول کنید و نه نقره را، و معرفت را بیشتر از طلای خالص.

11 For wisdom is better than rubies. All the things that may be desired can’t be compared to it.

۱۱ زیرا که حکمت از لعلها بهتر است، و جمیع نفایس را به او برابر نتوان کرد.

12 “I, wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling. Find out knowledge and discretion.

۱۲ من حکمتم و در زیرکی سکونت دارم، و معرفت تدبیر را یافته‌ام.

13 The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

۱۳ ترس خداوند، مکروه داشتن بدی است. غرور و تکبر وراه بد و دهان دروغگو را مکروه می‌دارم.

14 Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power.

۱۴ مشورت و حکمت کامل از آن من است. من فهم هستم و قوت از آن من است.

15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

۱۵ به من پادشاهان سلطنت می‌کنند، و داوران به عدالت فتوا می‌دهند.

16 By me princes rule, nobles, and all the righteous rulers of the earth.

۱۶ به من سروران حکمرانی می‌نمایند و شریفان و جمیع داوران جهان.

17 I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.

۱۷ من دوست می‌دارم آنانی را که مرا دوست می‌دارند. وهر‌که مرا به جد و جهد بطلبد مرا خواهد یافت.

18 With me are riches, honor, enduring wealth, and prosperity.

۱۸ دولت و جلال با من است. توانگری جاودانی وعدالت.

19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, my yield than choice silver.

۱۹ ثمره من از طلا و زر ناب بهتر است، وحاصل من از نقره خالص.

20 I walk in the way of righteousness, in the middle of the paths of justice,

۲۰ در طریق عدالت می‌خرامم، در میان راههای انصاف،

21 that I may give wealth to those who love me. I fill their treasuries.

۲۱ تا مال حقیقی را نصیب محبان خود گردانم، وخزینه های ایشان را مملو سازم.

22 “Yahweh possessed me in the beginning of his work, before his deeds of old.

۲۲ خداوند مرا مبداء طریق خود داشت، قبل از اعمال خویش از ازل.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth existed.

۲۳ من از ازل برقرار بودم، از ابتدا پیش از بودن جهان.

24 When there were no depths, I was born, when there were no springs abounding with water.

۲۴ هنگامی که لجه هانبود من مولود شدم، وقتی که چشمه های پر ازآب وجود نداشت.

25 Before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was born;

۲۵ قبل از آنگاه کوهها برپاشود، پیش از تلها مولود گردیدم.

26 while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.

۲۶ چون زمین وصحراها را هنوز نساخته بود، و نه اول غبار ربع مسکون را.

27 When he established the heavens, I was there. When he set a circle on the surface of the deep,

۲۷ وقتی که او آسمان را مستحکم ساخت من آنجا بودم، و هنگامی که دایره را برسطح لجه قرار داد.

28 when he established the clouds above, when the springs of the deep became strong,

۲۸ وقتی که افلاک را بالااستوار کرد، و چشمه های لجه را استوار گردانید.

29 when he gave to the sea its boundary, that the waters should not violate his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

۲۹ چون به دریا حد قرار داد، تا آبها از فرمان اوتجاوز نکنند، و زمانی که بنیاد زمین را نهاد.

30 then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, always rejoicing before him,

۳۰ آنگاه نزد او معمار بودم، و روزبروز شادی می‌نمودم، و همیشه به حضور او اهتزاز می‌کردم.

31 rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.

۳۱ و اهتزاز من در آبادی زمین وی، و شادی من بابنی آدم می‌بود.

32 “Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.

۳۲ پس الان‌ای پسران مرا بشنوید، وخوشابحال آنانی که طریقهای مرا نگاه دارند.

33 Hear instruction, and be wise. Don’t refuse it.

۳۳ تادیب را بشنوید و حکیم باشید، و آن را ردمنمایید.

34 Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.

۳۴ خوشابحال کسی‌که مرا بشنود، و هرروز نزد درهای من دیده بانی کند، و باهوهای دروازه های مرا محافظت نماید.

35 For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh.

۳۵ زیرا هر‌که مرایابد حیات را تحصیل کند، و رضامندی خداوندرا حاصل نماید.

36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”

۳۶ و اما کسی‌که مرا خطا کند، به‌جان خود ضرر رساند، و هر‌که مرا دشمن دارد، موت را دوست دارد.
