< Proverbs 18 >

1 A man who isolates himself pursues selfishness, and defies all sound judgment.
Köpchiliktin ayrilip yalghuz yürgen kishi haman öz nepsige chogh tartar; Herqandaq chin hékmetke haman jan-jehli bilen qarshi chiqar.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own opinion.
Exmeq yorutulushqa qiziqmas; Qiziqidighini peqet öz oylighanlirini körsitishla, xalas.
3 When wickedness comes, contempt also comes, and with shame comes disgrace.
Yaman kishi kelse, nepretmu peyda bolar; Nomussiz ish iza-ahanettin ayrilmas.
4 The words of a man’s mouth are like deep waters. The fountain of wisdom is like a flowing brook.
Ademning sözliri chongqur sulargha oxshar; Danaliq buliqi ériq süyidek örkeshlep aqar.
5 To be partial to the faces of the wicked is not good, nor to deprive the innocent of justice.
Yaman’gha yan bésishqa, Soraqta heqqaniygha uwal qilishqa qet’iy bolmas.
6 A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.
Exmeqning lewliri uni jédelge bashlar; Uning aghzi «Méni dumbala» dep teklip qilar.
7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are a snare to his soul.
Exmeqning aghzi öz béshigha halakettur; Uning lewliri öz jénigha qapqandur.
8 The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels: they go down into a person’s innermost parts.
Gheywetxorning sözliri herxil nazunémetlerdek, Kishining qelbige chongqur singdürüler.
9 One who is slack in his work is brother to him who is a master of destruction.
Ishida hurun bolghan kishimu, Buzghunchi bilen ülpetdash bolidu.
10 Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.
Perwerdigarning nami mezmut munardur; Heqqaniylar uning ichige yügürüp kirip yuqirida aman bolar.
11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.
Bay adem mal-dunyasini «mustehkem shehirim» dep biler; Neziride özini saqlaydighan égiz sépildek turar.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is proud, but before honor is humility.
Bitchit bolushtin awwal, köngülge tekebburluq kéler; Awwal kemterlik bolsa, andin shöhret kéler.
13 He who answers before he hears, that is folly and shame to him.
Sözni anglimay turup, aldirap jawab bergen, Exmeqliqini körsitip özini xijalette qaldurur.
14 A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?
Tendiki aghriq azabigha ademning öz rohi berdashliq bergüzer; Biraq rohi sun’ghan bolsa uni kim kötürer?
15 The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Yorutulghanning qelbi bilimge érishmekte, Aqilanining qulaqliri bilimni izdimekte.
16 A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.
Sowghat öz igisige ishikni daghdam échip bérer; Uni chong erbablar aldigha yetküzer.
17 He who pleads his cause first seems right— until another comes and questions him.
Dewa qilghanda, awwal sözligüchining sözliri orunluq körüner; Lékin qarshi terep soal qoyup ishni sürüshtürer.
18 The lot settles disputes, and keeps strong ones apart.
Chek tashlash jédellerni tügiter; Ghojilarning arisidiki ishnimu hel qilar.
19 A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city. Disputes are like the bars of a fortress.
Renjigen qérindashning könglini élish mustehkem sheherni élishtinmu tes; Jédel-majira qorghanning taqaq-baldaqlirigha oxshashtur.
20 A man’s stomach is filled with the fruit of his mouth. With the harvest of his lips he is satisfied.
Adem [durus] sözligenlikidin qorsiqi toq bolar; Öz könglidin chiqqan sözliridin mol hosul alar.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.
Hayat-mamat tilning ilkididur; Kimki uning tesirini etiwarlisa uning méwisidin yer.
22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh.
Xotunni tallap alghan kishi yaxshiliq tapidu, U Perwerdigarning merhimitige érishken bolidu.
23 The poor plead for mercy, but the rich answer harshly.
Miskinler pes awazda yélinip sözler; Bay bolsa qopalliq bilen jawab bérer.
24 A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Dostni köp tutqan kishi xarab bolar; Lékin qérindashtinmu yéqin baghlan’ghan bir dost bardur.
