< Philippians 1 >

1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and servants:
Jesu Kri ih tamna, Pawl hoi Timote mah Philipi vangpui ah kaom Kri Jesu ah kaciim kamimnawk, Kricaa zaehoikungnawk hoi kacoehtanawk khaeah ca tarik:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
aicae Ampa Sithaw hoi Angraeng Jesu Kri khae hoi ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih nangcae khaeah om nasoe.
3 I thank my God whenever I remember you,
Nangcae ka poek kruek Sithaw khaeah kawnhaih lawk ka thuih,
4 always in every request of mine on behalf of you all, making my requests with joy,
lawk ka thuih kruek nangcae boih han anghoehaih hoiah ka thuih toepsoep,
5 for your partnership in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;
amtong tangsuek na hoi vaihi khoek to tamthanglok hoih thuih naah na thum o thai pongah ni to tiah lawk ka thuih;
6 being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
nangcae khaeah kahoih toksak amtong Sithaw nuiah palunghaenghaih ka tawn ai, anih loe Jesu Kri ih ani phak karoek to koep ah toksah tih:
7 It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.
8 For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.
Jesu Kri amlunghaih rang hoiah kawkruk maw nangcae hnuk han ka koeh, tito Sithaw mah panoek.
9 This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,
Panoekhaih hoi pathlaengthaihaih to tawnh moe, amlunghaih bangah na pung o aep aep hanah lawk ka thuih;
10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ,
to tiah ni Kri ih ani pha ai karoek to kahoih koek, coek koi kaom ai, kaciim hmuen ah na om o thai tih;
11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Jesu Kri rang hoiah kaom toenghaih thingthai hoiah na koi o ueloe, Sithaw lensawkhaih hoi pakoehhaih to om tih.
12 Now I desire to have you know, brothers, that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News,
Nawkamyanawk, Kai khae kaom hmuennawk loe, tamthanglok hoih to pakaahaih om ai ah qoengsak tahang han oh, tiah nangcae panoeksak han ka koeh;
13 so that it became evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ,
Kri pongah sumqui hoi ang pathlet o haih loe, Rom misatuh kaminawk khue mah na ai, ahmuen kruekah kaom kaminawk mah doeh panoek o boeh;
14 and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.
sumqui hoi pathlethaih ka tong pongah, Angraeng ah kaom nawkamyanawk loe tanghaih bangah thazok o ai, misahoih o parai, zithaih tawn ai ah tamthanglok hoih to taphong o.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.
Thoemto kaminawk loe uthaih, angaek koehhaih hoiah Kri tamthanglok to thuih o; thoemto kaminawk mah loe poek hoihhaih hoiah thuih o:
16 The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;
thoemto kaminawk mah loe kai sumqui hoi pathlet ah ka oh naah, patang ka khanghaih thap aep han a koeh o pongah, poekciimhaih hoi na ai ah, angaek koehhaih palung hoiah ni Kri kawng to thuih o;
17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.
toe kai loe kahoih tamthanglok to angdoet haih hanah tokpaek ih kami ah ka oh, tiah panoek o pongah, kalah kaminawk mah loe amlunghaih hoiah taphong o:
18 What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.
to tiah nahaeloe kawbangmaw om tih? Angsak cophaih hoiah maw tamthanglok to a thuih o, to tih ai boeh loe loktang hoiah, kawbaktih loklam hoiah a thuih o cadoeh, Kri tamthanglok ni a thuih o, to pongah vaihi anghoehaih ka tawnh, ue, hmabangah doeh kang hoe han vop.
19 For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Lawk na thuih o haih hoiah, Jesu Kri ih Muithla praekhaih rang hoiah, hae hmuen hae kai loihhhaih ah angcoeng lat tih, tiah ka panoek:
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Kai hanah loe, hing hae Kri han ih ni, ka duek cadoeh atho oh.
22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.
23 But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.
To karai parai hmuen hnetto salakah ka oh sut, Kri hoi nawnto oh hanah, duek han ka koeh halat boeh; to tiah oh han hoih kue:
24 Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.
25 Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
Na qoeng o tahang moe, tanghaih bangah anghoehaih na tawnh o thai han angai vop, tiah ka panoek; to pongah nangcae boih hoi nawnto ka om vop tih, tiah oephaih ka tawnh;
26 that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.
nangcae khae kang zoh lethaih mah, Jesu Kri ah kai nang hoe o haih aep tih.
27 Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;
Nangcae khaeah kang zoh cadoeh, kang zo ai cadoeh, poek maeto amhonghaih hoiah nang doet o moe, kahoih tamthanglok tanghaih bangah, nawnto tha pathok o, tiah nangcae ih tamthang ka thaih thai hanah, kho na sak o haih tuinuen loe Kri tamthanglok hoi adue han oh:
28 and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
na misanawk zithaih tawn ai ah kho na sak o haih mah, nihcae loe anghmaa angtaa o tih, tito amtuengsak boeh, toe nangcae loe Sithaw rang hoiah pahlonghaih na hnu o tih.
29 Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,
Anih tang han ih khue na ai, Anih pongah Kri zuengah patangkhang han ih doeh, nangcae hanah tahamhoih to paek boeh.
30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.
