< Philemon 1 >

1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,
Saa nhoma yi fi Paulo a esiane Kristo Yesu nti ɔyɛ odeduani ne yɛn nuabarima Timoteo nkyɛn, Yɛde kɔma yɛn adamfo ne yɛn yɔnko Filemon
2 to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house:
ne asafo a wohyia wɔ wo fi no ne yɛn nuabea Apia ne yɛn yɔnko sraani Arkipo no:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Adom ne asomdwoe a efi yɛn Agya Nyankopɔn ne Awurade Yesu Kristo nka mo.
4 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
Onua Filemon, bere biara a mebɔ mpae no mebɔ bi ma wo na meda me Nyankopɔn nso ase.
5 hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
Mete ɔdɔ a wodɔ Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo ne gyidi a wowɔ wɔ Awurade Yesu mu no.
6 that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus.
Sɛnea wo ne afoforo kura gyidi koro mu no, mebɔ mpae sɛ wɔn nso behu nhyira a Kristo de ama yɛn no nyinaa.
7 For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
Onua pa, wo dɔ no ama me anigye na ahyɛ me nkuran nso. Woakanyan Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo.
8 Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,
Sɛ meyɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu nti, metumi de akokoduru ahyɛ wo, ama woayɛ nea ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ,
9 yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
nanso me Paulo a meyɛ akwakoraa ne Kristo Yesu deduani fi ɔdɔ mu mprempren
10 I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains,
resrɛ wo ama me ba Onesimo a ɔbɛyɛɛ me ba, bere a na meda afiase no.
11 who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
Bere bi a atwa mu no na ne so nni mfaso mma wo, nanso mprempren de, ne so wɔ mfaso ma me ne wo.
12 I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,
Merema ɔno a ɔyɛ mʼankasa me koma no asan aba wo nkyɛn.
13 whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.
Esiane asɛmpa no nti, mepɛe sɛ ɔtena me nkyɛn bere a meda afiase yi, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a obesi wʼanan mu aboa me.
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
Nanso na mempɛ sɛ mefi wʼakyi ayɛ biribi, sɛnea ɛrenyɛ sɛ adɔe biara a wobɛyɛ no fi ɔhyɛ mu na mmom efi ɔpɛ pa mu nti.
15 For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever, (aiōnios g166)
Ebia na Onesimo fii wo nkyɛn bere tiaa bi sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wubegye no ato mu bio afebɔɔ. (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
Mprempren ɔnyɛ ɔsomfo kɛkɛ efisɛ ɔkyɛn ɔsomfo. Ɔyɛ onua pa wɔ Kristo mu. Ɔsom bo ma me. Saa ara nso na ɔbɛsom bo ama wo sɛ ɔsomfo ne onua wɔ Awurade mu.
17 If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
Enti sɛ wudwen me ho sɛ wo ne me bɔ mu di dwuma a, saa ara nso na gye no to mu sɛnea wubegye me no ara no.
18 But if he has wronged you at all or owes you anything, put that to my account.
Sɛ wayɛ wo biribi anaasɛ ɔde wo ka bi a, bu tia me.
19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
Me Paulo, mʼankasa me nsa ano nkyerɛw ni. Metua wo ka, na mmom mma wo werɛ mfi sɛ wo nipadua no ankasa de me ka.
20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.
Enti me nua, mesrɛ wo sɛ, Awurade nti, yɛ me saa adɔe yi; ka me koma hyew sɛ wo nua wɔ Kristo mu.
21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
Mewɔ anidaso sɛ, nea merekyerɛw wo yi, wobɛyɛ ama aboro nea merebisa wo yi so.
22 Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
Afei pɛ ɔdan ma me, efisɛ minim sɛ Onyankopɔn betie mo mpaebɔ ama mabɛka mo ho bio.
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,
Epafra a Kristo Yesu nti ɔne me da afiase no kyia wo.
24 as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.
Saa ara nso na Marko, Aristarko, Dema ne Luka nso kyia wo.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
Awurade Yesu Kristo adom nka wo honhom.
