Numbers 31
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
१परमेश्वर मोशेशी बोलला व म्हणाला,
2 “Avenge the children of Israel on the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
२इस्राएल लोकांसाठी मिद्यान्याविरूद्ध सूड घे. हे केल्यानंतर तू मरण पावशील आणि त्यानंतर तू तुझ्या लोकांस जाऊन मिळशील.
3 Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm men from among you for war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Yahweh’s vengeance on Midian.
३मग मोशे लोकांशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला, तुमच्यातल्या काहींची सैनिक म्हणून निवड करा. परमेश्वर त्यांचा उपयोग मिद्यान्याचा सूड घेण्यासाठी करील.
4 You shall send one thousand out of every tribe, throughout all the tribes of Israel, to the war.”
४इस्राएलाच्या प्रत्येक वंशातून एक एक हजार लढाईस पाठवा.
5 So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
५इस्राएलाच्या हजार आणि हजारांमधून प्रत्येक वंशाचे एक हजार, असे सर्व बारा हजार सैनिक लढाईसाठी पुरवले जातील.
6 Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
६मोशेने प्रत्येक वंशातून एक हजार असे बारा हजार लोकांस लढाईवर पाठवले. त्यांना आणि त्यांच्याबरोबर याजक एलाजाराचा मुलगा फिनहासास पवित्र पात्रे व इशारा देण्यासाठी रणशिंगे त्यांच्या हवाली करून पाठवले.
7 They fought against Midian, as Yahweh commanded Moses. They killed every male.
७मग मोशेने व एलाजार याजकाने मोशेला परमेश्वराने दिलेल्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे मिद्यान्यांबरोबर केले.
8 They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.
८त्यांनी जे लोक मारले त्यामध्ये अवी, रेकेम, सूर, हूर व रेबा हे मिद्यानाचे राजे होते. त्यांनी बौराचा मुलगा बलामासही तलवारीने मारले.
9 The children of Israel took the women of Midian captive with their little ones; and all their livestock, all their flocks, and all their goods, they took as plunder.
९इस्राएल लोकांनी मिद्यानाच्या स्त्रियांना व मुलांना कैद करून नेले. त्यांनी त्यांची सर्व गुरे व त्यांचे सर्व कळप व सर्व धन लूट म्हणून त्यांनी घेतले.
10 All their cities in the places in which they lived, and all their encampments, they burned with fire.
१०त्यांनी त्यांची सर्व वस्तीची नगरे व त्यांच्या सर्व छावण्याही जाळल्या.
11 They took all the captives, and all the plunder, both of man and of animal.
११त्यांनी त्यांची सर्व लूट व बंदीवान, दोन्ही लोक आणि जनावरे बरोबर घेतली.
12 They brought the captives with the prey and the plunder, to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
१२यरीहोपाशी यार्देनतीरी मवाबाच्या मैदानातील छावणीत मोशे, याजक एलाजार आणि इस्राएल लोकांच्या मंडळीसमोर त्यांना आणले.
13 Moses and Eleazar the priest, with all the princes of the congregation, went out to meet them outside of the camp.
१३नंतर मोशे, याजक एलाजार आणि लोकांचे पुढारी सैनिकांना भेटण्यासाठी छावणीबाहेर त्यांना सामोरे गेले.
14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war.
१४जे सैनिकांचे सेनापती युद्धावरुन परतले होते एक हजार सैनिकांच्या प्रमुखावर आणि शंभर सैनिकांच्या प्रमुखावर मोशे खूप रागावला.
15 Moses said to them, “Have you saved all the women alive?
१५मोशे त्यांना म्हणाला, तुम्ही स्त्रियांना जिवंत का ठेवले?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Yahweh.
१६पाहा ह्यांनीच बलामाच्या मसलतीवरून पौराच्या प्रकरणी इस्राएलाच्या वंशाना परमेश्वराविरूद्ध अपराध करायला लावले. यावरुन परमेश्वराच्या मंडळीत मरी पसरली.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
१७आताच मिद्यानाच्या सर्व मुलांना ठार मारा आणि पुरुषाबरोबर राहिलेल्या सर्व स्त्रियांना मारून टाका. कोणत्याही पुरुषाबरोबर लैंगिक संबंध असलेल्या सर्व स्त्रियांना मारून टाका.
18 But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
१८“आणि नंतर तुमच्यापैकी ज्यांनी दुसऱ्यांना मारले असेल त्यांनी सात दिवस तळाच्या बाहेर रहावे.
19 “Encamp outside of the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
१९तुम्ही प्रेताला केवळ हात जरी लावला असला तरीही तुम्ही बाहेर रहावे. तिसऱ्या दिवशी तुम्ही स्वत: ला आणि तुमच्या कैद्यांना शुद्ध करा. हीच गोष्ट पुन्हा सातव्या दिवशीही करा.
20 You shall purify every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats’ hair, and all things made of wood.”
२०तुम्ही तुमचे सर्व कपडे धुवा. लाकूड, लोकर आणि चामडे यांपासून बनवलेल्या वस्तू धुवा. तुम्ही शुद्ध झालेच पाहिजे.”
21 Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who went to the battle, “This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded Moses.
२१नंतर याजक एलाजार सैनिकांशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला, “परमेश्वराने मोशेला सांगितले ते हे नियम आहेत. युद्धावरुन परत आलेल्या सैनिकांसाठी हे नियम आहेत. तुम्ही सोने, चांदी, तांबे,
22 However the gold, and the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
२२पितळ, लोखंड, पत्रा किंवा शिसे वगैरे
23 everything that may withstand the fire, you shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity. All that doesn’t withstand the fire you shall make to go through the water.
२३जे काही अग्नीत टिकेल ते तुम्ही अग्नीत घालून काढा ते शुद्ध होईल: तरी अशुद्धी दूर करण्याच्या पाण्याने ते शुद्ध करावे आणि जे काही अग्नीत टिकणार नाही ते पाण्याने धुवावे.
24 You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean. Afterward you shall come into the camp.”
२४सातव्या दिवशी तुम्ही तुमचे सर्व कपडे धुवा. नंतर तुम्ही शुद्ध व्हाल त्यानंतर तुम्ही तळावर येऊ शकता.”
25 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
२५नंतर परमेश्वर मोशेशी बोलला व म्हणाला,
26 “Count the plunder that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the congregation;
२६सैनिकांनी जे कैदी, प्राणी आणि इतर गोष्टी युद्धावरुन आणल्या आहेत त्यांची मोजदाद एलाजार याजक, तू आणि नेत्यांनी करावी.
27 and divide the plunder into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.
२७नंतर युद्धावर गेलेल्या सैनिकांत आणि इस्राएलाच्या इतर लोकात त्यांची वाटणी करा.
28 Levy a tribute to Yahweh of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks.
२८युद्धावर गेलेल्या सैनिकांच्या हिश्श्यातून काही भागातून माणसे, गाईबैल, गाढवे व शेरडेमेंढरे ह्यांच्यापैकी प्रत्येक पाचशेमागे एक परमेश्वराप्रीत्यर्थ कर म्हणून घ्यावा.
29 Take it from their half, and give it to Eleazar the priest, for Yahweh’s wave offering.
२९त्यांच्या हिश्श्यातून घेऊन तो परमेश्वराप्रीत्यर्थ समर्पित अंश म्हणून याजक एलाजाराला द्यावा.
30 Of the children of Israel’s half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of Yahweh’s tabernacle.”
३०“नंतर इस्राएल लोकांस मिळालेल्या हिश्श्यातून माणसे, गाईबैल, गाढवे, शेरडेमेंढरे वगैरे सर्व पशू ह्यांच्यापैकी प्रत्येक पन्नासांमागे एक घेऊन परमेश्वराच्या निवासमंडपाची रक्षण करणाऱ्या लेव्यांना द्यावे.”
31 Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
३१परमेश्वराने मोशेला आज्ञा केल्याप्रमाणे मोशे आणि एलाजार याजकाने केले.
32 Now the plunder, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
३२सैनिकांनी लुटून घेतलेल्या वस्तूंशिवाय सहा लक्ष पंचाहत्तर हजार शेरडेमेंढरे,
33 seventy-two thousand head of cattle,
३३बहात्तर हजार गाईबैल,
34 sixty-one thousand donkeys,
३४एकसष्ट हजार गाढवे
35 and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.
३५आणि बत्तीस हजार स्त्रिया आणल्या. (यांत कोणत्याही पुरुषाबरोबर लैंगिक संबंध न आलेल्या स्त्रियांचाच फक्त समावेश आहे).
36 The half, which was the portion of those who went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep;
३६युद्धावर गेलेल्या सैनिकांना तीन लक्ष सदतीस हजार पाचशे मेंढ्या मिळाल्या.
37 and Yahweh’s tribute of the sheep was six hundred seventy-five.
३७त्यांनी सहाशे पंच्याहत्तर मेंढ्या परमेश्वरास दिल्या.
38 The cattle were thirty-six thousand, of which Yahweh’s tribute was seventy-two.
३८गाईबैल छत्तीस हजार असून त्यातील बहात्तर परमेश्वराचा कर होते.
39 The donkeys were thirty thousand five hundred, of which Yahweh’s tribute was sixty-one.
३९सैनिकांना तीस हजार पाचशे गाढवे मिळाली. त्यातील एकसष्ट गाढवे त्यांनी परमेश्वरास दिले.
40 The persons were sixteen thousand, of whom Yahweh’s tribute was thirty-two persons.
४०सैनिकांना सोळा हजार स्त्रिया मिळाल्या. त्यांपैकी बत्तीस स्त्रिया त्यांनी परमेश्वरास दिल्या.
41 Moses gave the tribute, which was Yahweh’s wave offering, to Eleazar the priest, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
४१परमेश्वराने मोशेला आज्ञा केल्याप्रमाणे परमेश्वराप्रीत्यर्थ हा कर समर्पित म्हणून त्याने याजक एलाजाराला दिल्या.
42 Of the children of Israel’s half, which Moses divided off from the men who fought
४२नंतर युद्धावर गेलेल्या इस्राएली सैनिकांकडून मोशेने घेतलेला अर्धा भाग होता.
43 (now the congregation’s half was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
४३लोकांस तीन लक्ष सदतीस हजार पाचशे मेंढ्या.
44 thirty-six thousand head of cattle,
४४छत्तीस हजार गाईबैल,
45 thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
४५गाढवे तीस हजार पाचशे
46 and sixteen thousand persons),
४६आणि सोळा हजार स्त्रिया मिळाल्या.
47 even of the children of Israel’s half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animal, and gave them to the Levites, who performed the duty of Yahweh’s tabernacle, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
४७आणि इस्राएलाच्या वंशाच्या अर्ध्या भागातून, मनुष्यातून व जनावरांतून प्रत्येक पन्नास वस्तूमागे मोशेने एक वस्तू परमेश्वरासाठी घेतली. त्यामध्ये पशू आणि माणसे याचा समावेश होता. नंतर त्याने या वस्तू लेवींना दिल्या. कारण त्यांनी परमेश्वराच्या पवित्र निवासमंडपाची काळजी घेतली.
48 The officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near to Moses.
४८नंतर सैनिकांचे पुढारी सहस्त्राधिपती सैनिकांचे व शताधिपती सैनिकांचे पुढारी मोशेकडे आले.
49 They said to Moses, “Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our command, and there lacks not one man of us.
४९त्यांनी मोशेला सांगितले, आम्ही तुझ्या सेवकांनी आमचे सैनिक मोजले. आम्ही एकही सैनिक सोडला नाही.
50 We have brought Yahweh’s offering, what every man found: gold ornaments, armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before Yahweh.”
५०म्हणून आम्ही प्रत्येक सैनिकाकडून परमेश्वराची भेट आणत आहोत. आम्ही सोन्याच्या वस्तू आणत आहोत; बाजूबंद, बांगडया, आंगठ्या, कुड्या आणि हार. ही आम्ही परमेश्वरास अर्पण म्हणून आमच्या जिवासाठी परमेश्वरारासमोर प्रायश्चित करण्याकरता आणली आहेत.
51 Moses and Eleazar the priest took their gold, even all worked jewels.
५१मोशे आणि एलाजार याजकाने ते सर्व सोने व घडीव वस्तू त्यांच्याकडून स्विकारल्या.
52 All the gold of the wave offering that they offered up to Yahweh, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.
५२सहस्त्रपती आणि शतपती ह्यांनी परमेश्वरास समर्पण केलेले सोने सोळा हजार सातशे शेकेल भरले.
53 The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.
५३सैनिकांनी त्यांना युद्धात मिळालेल्या इतर वस्तू स्वतःजवळ ठेवल्या.
54 Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the Tent of Meeting for a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh.
५४मोशे आणि एलाजार याजक यांनी हजार आणि शंभर सैनिकांवरच्या प्रमुखांकडून सोने घेऊन इस्राएल लोकांसाठी परमेश्वरासमोर स्मारक म्हणून दर्शनमंडपामध्ये नेऊन ठेवले.
