Micah 7
1 Misery is mine! Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vineyard. There is no cluster of grapes to eat. My soul desires to eat the early fig.
૧મને અફસોસ છે! કેમ કે ઉનાળાંનાં ફળ વીણી લીધા પછીની જેવી સ્થિતિ, એટલે દ્રાક્ષો વીણી લીધા પછી બચી ગયેલી દ્રાક્ષો જેવી મારી સ્થિતિ છે: ત્યાં ફળની ગુચ્છાઓ મળશે નહિ, પ્રથમ અંજીર જેને માટે હું તલસું છું તે પણ નહિ મળે.
2 The godly man has perished out of the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; every man hunts his brother with a net.
૨પૃથ્વી પરથી ભલા માણસો નાશ પામ્યા છે, મનુષ્યોમાં કોઈ પ્રામાણિક રહ્યો નથી; તેઓ બીજાનું લોહી વહેવડાવવા માટે તલપી રહ્યા છે, તેઓ જાળ નાખીને પોતાના ભાઈઓનો શિકાર કરે છે.
3 Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe. The powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.
૩તેઓના હાથો નુકસાન કરવામાં ઘણાં કુશળ છે. સરદારો પૈસા માગે છે, ન્યાયાધીશો લાંચ માટે તૈયાર છે, બળવાન માણસ પોતાના મનનો દુષ્ટ ભાવ પ્રગટ કરે છે. તેઓ ભેગા મળીને ષડ્યંત્ર રચે છે.
4 The best of them is like a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come; now is the time of their confusion.
૪તેઓમાંનો જે શ્રેષ્ઠ છે તે કાંટા ઝાંખરા જેવો છે; જે સૌથી વધારે પ્રામાણિક છે તે કાંટાની વાડ જેવો છે, તારા ચોકીદારે જણાવેલો દિવસ એટલે, તારી શિક્ષાનો દિવસ આવી ગયો છે. હવે તેઓની ગૂંચવણનો દિવસ આવી પહોંચ્યો છે.
5 Don’t trust in a neighbor. Don’t put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, be careful of the words of your mouth!
૫કોઈ પડોશીનો વિશ્વાસ કરીશ નહિ, કોઈ મિત્ર ઉપર આધાર રાખીશ નહિ, તું જે બોલે તે વિષે સાવધાન રહે એટલે જે સ્ત્રી તારી સાથે સૂએ છે તેનાથી પણ સંભાળ.
6 For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
૬કેમ કે દીકરો પોતાના પિતાનો આદર કરતો નથી. દીકરી પોતાની માની સામે થાય છે, વહુ પોતાની સાસુની સામે થાય છે; માણસનાં શત્રુઓ તેના પોતાના જ ઘરનાં માણસો છે.
7 But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
૭પણ હું તો યહોવાહ તરફ જોઈશ, હું મારા ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર ઈશ્વરની રાહ જોઈશ; મારા ઈશ્વર મારું સાંભળશે.
8 Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light to me.
૮હે મારા દુશ્મન, મારી દુર્દશામાં આનંદ ન કર; જો હું પડી જાઉં, તો પણ હું પાછો ઊઠીશ; જો હું અંધકારમાં બેસું, તો પણ યહોવાહ મને અજવાળારૂપ થશે.
9 I will bear the indignation of Yahweh, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.
૯તેઓ મારી તરફદારી કરશે અને મને ન્યાય આપશે ત્યાં સુધી, હું યહોવાહનો ક્રોધ સહન કરીશ, કેમ કે મેં યહોવાહની વિરુદ્ધ પાપ કર્યું છે. તે મને બહાર અજવાળામાં લાવશે, હું તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું જોઈશ.
10 Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is Yahweh your God?” My eyes will see her. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.
૧૦ત્યારે મારા દુશ્મન કે જેઓએ મને કહ્યું કે, “તારા ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ કયાં છે?” એવું કહેનારાઓ શરમથી ઢંકાઈ જશે, મારી આંખો તેઓને જોશે, શેરીઓની માટીની જેમ તે પગ નીચે કચડાશે.
11 A day to build your walls! In that day, he will extend your boundary.
૧૧જે દિવસે તારા કોટ બંધાશે, તે દિવસે તારી સરહદ બહુ દૂર જશે.
12 In that day they will come to you from Assyria and the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and mountain to mountain.
૧૨તે દિવસે આશ્શૂરથી તથા મિસરના નગરોથી, મિસરથી તે છેક મોટી નદી સુધીના પ્રદેશમાંથી, તથા સમુદ્રથી સમુદ્ર સુધીના, તથા પર્વતથી પર્વત સુધીના પ્રદેશના, લોકો તે દિવસે તારી પાસે આવશે.
13 Yet the land will be desolate because of those who dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
૧૩તોપણ તેમાં રહેતા લોકોને કારણે, તેઓનાં કર્મોના ફળને કારણે, તે દેશો ઉજ્જડ થઈ જશે.
14 Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest. Let them feed in the middle of fertile pasture land, in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
૧૪તારા વારસાનાં ટોળાં કે, જેઓ એકાંતમાં રહે છે, તેઓને તારી લાકડીથી, કાર્મેલના જંગલમાં ચરાવ. અગાઉના દિવસોની જેમ, બાશાનમાં તથા ગિલ્યાદમાં પણ ચરવા દે.
15 “As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.”
૧૫મિસર દેશમાંથી તારા બહાર આવવાના દિવસોમાં થયું હતું તેમ, હું તેને અદ્દભુત કૃત્યો બતાવીશ.
16 The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might. They will lay their hand on their mouth. Their ears will be deaf.
૧૬અન્ય પ્રજાઓ તે જોશે, અને પોતાની સર્વ શક્તિને લીધે લજ્જિત થશે. તેઓ પોતાના હાથ પોતાના મુખ પર મૂકશે; તેઓના કાન બહેરા થઈ જશે.
17 They will lick the dust like a serpent. Like crawling things of the earth, they will come trembling out of their dens. They will come with fear to Yahweh our God, and will be afraid because of you.
૧૭તેઓ સાપની જેમ ધૂળ ચાટશે, તેઓ પૃથ્વી ઉપર પેટે ચાલતાં સજીવોની માફક, પોતાના ગુપ્ત સ્થાનોમાંથી ધ્રૂજતાં ધ્રૂજતાં બહાર આવશે. તે પ્રજાઓ યહોવાહ આપણા ઈશ્વરની પાસે બીતી બીતી આવશે, તેઓ તારાથી ડરશે.
18 Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.
૧૮તમારા જેવા ઈશ્વર કોણ છે? તમે તો પાપ માફ કરો છો, તમારા વારસાના બચેલા ભાગના અપરાધને, દરગુજર કરો છો; તમે પોતાનો ક્રોધ હંમેશા રાખતા નથી, કેમ કે તમે દયા કરવામાં આનંદ માનો છો.
19 He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
૧૯તમે ફરીથી અમારા ઉપર કૃપા કરશો; તમે અમારા અપરાધોને તમારા પગ નીચે કચડી નાખશો. તમે અમારાં બધાં પાપોને સમુદ્રના ઊંડાણોમાં ફેંકી દેશો.
20 You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
૨૦જેમ તમે પ્રાચીન કાળમાં અમારા પૂર્વજો આગળ સમ ખાધા હતા તેમ, તમે યાકૂબ પ્રત્યે સત્યતા અને ઇબ્રાહિમ પ્રત્યે કૃપા દર્શાવશો.
