Matthew 28
1 Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
Nach Ablauf des Sabbats aber im Morgengrauen des ersten Wochentages kamen Maria von Magdala und die andere Maria, nach dem Grabe zu sehen.
2 Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.
Und siehe, es geschah ein großes Erdbeben; denn ein Engel des Herrn stieg herab vom Himmel, kam herzu und wälzte den Stein ab, und setzte sich oben darauf.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.
Es war aber sein Ansehen wie ein Blitz, und sein Gewand weiß wie Schnee.
4 For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men.
Die Furcht vor ihm traf aber die Wächter wie ein Schlag, und sie wurden wie tot.
5 The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.
Der Engel aber sprach die Frauen an: fürchtet euch nicht. Ich weiß, daß ihr Jesus den Gekreuzigten suchet;
6 He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
er ist nicht hier, denn er ward auferweckt, wie er gesagt hat; kommt und sehet den Ort, wo er lag.
7 Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”
Und gehet eilends hin und saget seinen Jüngern, daß er von den Toten auferweckt ist, und siehe, er geht euch voran nach Galiläa, dort werdet ihr ihn sehen; siehe, ich habe es euch gesagt.
8 They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.
Und sie verließen eilends das Grab in Furcht und großer Freude, und liefen, es seinen Jüngern zu berichten.
9 As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
Und siehe, Jesus trat ihnen entgegen und sagte: seid gegrüßt. Sie aber traten hinzu, umfaßten seine Füße und warfen sich vor ihm nieder.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”
Hierauf sagt Jesus zu ihnen: fürchtet euch nicht; gehet hin und verkündet es meinen Brüdern, damit sie nach Galiläa gehen, und dort sollen sie mich sehen.
11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.
Während sie aber hingiengen, siehe, da kamen einige von der Wache in die Stadt, und verkündeten den Hohenpriestern alles, was vorgefallen war.
12 When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,
Und sie versammelten sich mit den Aeltesten, hielten Rat und gaben den Soldaten reichlich Geld
13 saying, “Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.
und sprachen: ihr müsset aussagen, daß seine Jünger bei Nacht kamen und ihn stahlen, während ihr schliefet.
14 If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”
Und wenn das vor den Statthalter kommt, so wollen wir ihn schon begütigen und euch außer Sorge setzen.
15 So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.
Sie aber nahmen das Geld und thaten, wie sie angewiesen waren; und diese Rede kam bei den Juden in Gang bis auf den heutigen Tag.
16 But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them.
Die elf Jünger aber zogen nach Galiläa auf den Berg, wohin sie Jesus gewiesen.
17 When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted.
Und da sie ihn sahen, da warfen sie sich nieder, doch etliche zweifelten.
18 Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
Und Jesus trat hinzu und sprach zu ihnen: mir ist gegeben alle Gewalt im Himmel und auf der Erde.
19 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Gehet hin und werbet alle Völker, durch die Taufe auf den Namen des Vaters, und des Sohnes und des heiligen Geistes,
