Matthew 22
1 Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables, saying,
১যীশু আবার গল্পের মাধ্যমে কথা বললেন, তিনি তাদের বললেন,
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a wedding feast for his son,
২স্বর্গরাজ্য এমন একজন রাজার মতো, যিনি তাঁর ছেলের বিয়ের ভোজ আয়োজন করলেন।
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come.
৩সেই ভোজে নিমন্ত্রিত লোকদের ডাকার জন্য তিনি তাঁর দাসদের পাঠালেন, কিন্তু লোকেরা আসতে চাইল না।
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’
৪তাতে তিনি আবার অন্য দাসদের পাঠালেন, বললেন, “নিমন্ত্রিত লোকদেরকে বল, দেখ, আমার ভোজ প্রস্তুত করেছি, আমার অনেক বলদ ও হৃষ্টপুষ্ট পশু সব মারা হয়েছে, সব কিছুই প্রস্তুত, তোমরা বিয়ের ভোজে এসো।”
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;
৫কিন্তু তারা অবহেলা করে কেউ তার ক্ষেতে, কেউ বা তার নিজের কাজে চলে গেল।
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them.
৬অবশিষ্ট সবাই তাঁর দাসদের ধরে অপমান করল ও বধ করল।
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
৭তাতে রাজা প্রচন্ড রেগে গেলেন এবং সৈন্যসামন্ত পাঠিয়ে সেই হত্যাকারীদের ধ্বংস করলেন ও তাদের শহর পুড়িয়ে দিলেন।
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
৮পরে তিনি তাঁর দাসদের বললেন, “বিয়ের ভোজ তো প্রস্তুত, কিন্তু ঐ নিমন্ত্রিত লোকেরা এর যোগ্য ছিল না,
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’
৯অতএব তোমরা রাজপথের মাথায় মাথায় গিয়ে যত লোকের দেখা পাও, সবাইকে বিয়ের ভোজে ডেকে আন।”
10 Those servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
১০তাতে ঐ দাসেরা রাজপথে গিয়ে ভাল মন্দ যত লোকের দেখা পেল, সবাইকেই সংগ্রহ করে আনল, তাতে বিয়ে বাড়ি অতিথিতে পরিপূর্ণ হল।
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
১১পরে রাজা অতিথিদের দেখার জন্যে ভিতরে এসে এমন এক ব্যক্তিকে দেখতে পেলেন, যার গায়ে বিয়ে বাড়ির পোশাক ছিল না,
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
১২তিনি তাকে বললেন, “হে বন্ধু, তুমি কেমন করে বিয়ে বাড়ির পোশাক ছাড়া এখানে প্রবেশ করলে?” সে উত্তর দিতে পারল না।
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
১৩তখন রাজা তাঁর চাকরদের বললেন, “ওর হাত পা বেঁধে ওকে বাইরে অন্ধকারে ফেলে দাও, সেখানে লোকেরা কাঁদবে ও দাঁতে দাঁত ঘষবে।
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
১৪যদিও অনেককেই ডাকা হয়েছে, কিন্তু অল্পই মনোনীত।”
15 Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
১৫তখন ফরীশীরা গিয়ে পরিকল্পনা করল, কিভাবে তাঁকে কথার ফাঁদে ফেলা যায়।
16 They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach; for you aren’t partial to anyone.
১৬আর তারা হেরোদীয়দের সঙ্গে তাদের শিষ্যদের দিয়ে তাঁকে বলে পাঠাল, “গুরু, আমরা জানি, আপনি সত্যবাদী এবং সঠিক ভাবে ঈশ্বরের পথের বিষয় শিক্ষা দিচ্ছেন এবং আপনি কাউকে ভয় পাননা, কারণ আপনি লোকেরা কে কি বলল সে কথায় বিচার করবেন না।
17 Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
১৭ভাল, আমাদের বলুন, আপনার মত কি? কৈসরকে কর দেওয়া উচিত কি না?”
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
১৮কিন্তু যীশু তাদের ফাঁদ বুঝতে পেরে বললেন, “ভণ্ডরা, আমার পরীক্ষা কেন করছ?
19 Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.
১৯সেই করের পয়সা আমাকে দেখাও।” তখন তারা তাঁর কাছে একটি দিন দিনার আনল।
20 He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
২০তিনি তাদের বললেন, “এই মূর্ত্তি ও এই নাম কার?” তারা বলল, “কৈসরের।”
21 They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
২১তখন তিনি তাদের বললেন, “তবে কৈসরের যা কিছু, তা কৈসরকে দাও, আর ঈশ্বরের যা কিছু, তা ঈশ্বরকে দাও।”
22 When they heard it, they marveled, and left him and went away.
২২এই কথা শুনে তারা আশ্চর্য্য হল এবং তাঁর কাছ থেকে চলে গেল।
23 On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
২৩সেই দিন সদ্দূকীরা, যারা বলে মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হয় না, তারা তাঁর কাছে এলো।
24 saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’
২৪এবং তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “গুরু, মোশি বললেন, কেউ যদি সন্তান ছাড়া মারা যায়, তবে তার ভাই তার স্ত্রীকে বিয়ে করে তার ভাইয়ের জন্য বংশ রক্ষা করবে।
25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother.
২৫ভাল, আমাদের মধ্যে কোনো একটি পরিবারে সাতটি ভাই ছিল, প্রথম জন বিয়ের পর মারা গেল এবং সন্তান না হওয়ায় তার ভাইয়ের জন্য নিজের স্ত্রীকে রেখে গেল।
26 In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
২৬এইভাবেই দ্বিতীয় জন তৃতীয় জন করে সাত জনই তাকে বিয়ে করল।
27 After them all, the woman died.
২৭সবার শেষে সেই স্ত্রীও মরে গেল।
28 In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”
২৮অতএব মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হওয়ার দিন ঐ সাত জনের মধ্যে সে কার স্ত্রী হবে? সবাই তো তাকে বিয়ে করেছিল।”
29 But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
২৯যীশু এর উত্তরে তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা ভুল বুঝছ, কারণ তোমরা না জান শাস্ত্র, না জান ঈশ্বরের ক্ষমতা,
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.
৩০কারণ মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হয়ে লোকে বিয়ে করে না এবং তাদের বিয়ের দেওয়াও হয় না, বরং স্বর্গে ঈশ্বরের দূতদের মতো থাকে।
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
৩১কিন্তু মৃতদের মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হওয়ার বিষয়ে ঈশ্বর তোমাদের যা বলেছেন, তা কি তোমরা শাস্ত্রে পড়নি?”
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
৩২তিনি বলেন, “আমি অব্রাহামের ঈশ্বর, ইসহাকের ঈশ্বর, ও যাকোবের ঈশ্বর,” (এই লোকগুলি মৃত্যুর অনেক পরে ঈশ্বর এই কথা গুলি বলেছেন) ঈশ্বর মৃতদের নন, কিন্তু জীবিতদের।
33 When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
৩৩এই কথা শুনে লোকেরা তাঁর শিক্ষাতে অবাক হয়ে গেল।
34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
৩৪ফরীশীরা যখন শুনতে পেল, তিনি সদ্দূকীদের নিরুত্তর করেছেন, তখন তারা একসঙ্গে এসে জুটল।
35 One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
৩৫আর তাদের মধ্যে এক ব্যক্তি, একজন ব্যবস্থার গুরু, পরীক্ষা করার জন্য তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল,
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
৩৬“গুরু, ব্যবস্থার মধ্যে কোন আদেশটি মহান?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
৩৭তিনি তাকে বললেন, “তোমার সমস্ত হৃদয়, তোমার সমস্ত প্রাণ ও তোমার সমস্ত মন দিয়ে তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুকে ভালবাসবে,”
38 This is the first and great commandment.
৩৮এটা মহান ও প্রথম আদেশ।
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
৩৯আর দ্বিতীয় আদেশটি হলো, “তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে নিজের মত ভালবাসবে।”
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
৪০এই দুটি আদেশেই সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা এবং ভাববাদীদের বই নির্ভর করে।
41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
৪১আর ফরীশীরা একত্র হলে যীশু তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন,
42 saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”
৪২“খ্রীষ্টের বিষয়ে তোমাদের কি মনে হয়, তিনি কার সন্তান?” তারা বলল, “দায়ূদের।”
43 He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
৪৩তিনি তাদের বললেন, “তবে দায়ূদ কিভাবে আত্মার আবেশে তাঁকে প্রভু বলেন?” তিনি বলেন,
44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?
৪৪“প্রভু আমার প্রভুকে বললেন, তুমি আমার ডান পাশে বস, যতক্ষণ না আমি তোমার শত্রুদেরকে তোমার পা রাখার জায়গায় পরিণত করি।”
45 “If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
৪৫অতএব দায়ূদ যখন তাঁকে প্রভু বলেন, তখন তিনি কিভাবে তাঁর সন্তান?
46 No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
৪৬তখন কেউ তাঁকে কোন উত্তর দিতে পারল না, আর সেই দিন থেকে তাঁকে কোন কথা জিজ্ঞাসা করতে কারও সাহস হল না।
