< Matthew 18 >

1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”
NI auer ota tounpadak kan poto don Iejuj potoan on: Iaduen ij me pan lapalap nan wein nanlan?
2 Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them
Iejuj lao kotin molipeido kijin amen, ap kotin kotiki on nan pun arail,
3 and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Majani: Melel I indai on komail, ma komail jota pan wukila, wiala jon en kijin jeri, komail jota pan kak ko on nan wein nanlan.
4 Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ari, meamen pan kajapwiledi pein i, dueta kijin jeri men et, i me pan lapalap nan wein nanlan.
5 Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,
O ma amen apwali kijin jeri men due met ni ad ai, i me kin apwali ia.
6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.
A meamen me pan kamakar amen ir, me tikitik, me pojon ia, a mau on, takai en plaua eu en jali on tapin wor a, ap kamopela nan madau waja me lol.
7 “Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!
Juedi on jappa pweki a men kamakar akan, Ari jo, men kamakar akan udan mia; juedi on aramaj o, me men kamakar pan tapi jan ia.
8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
A ma apali en pa om de apali en ne om pan kamakar uk, lepuke jan, o kaje jan uk, pwe a mau on uk ko on maur ni om danidan de jikilikil, jan om pa de na pokon mia, ap ko on kijiniai joutuk. (aiōnios g166)
9 If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)
O ma apali en maj om pan kamakar uk, waikada jan o kaje jan uk, pwe a mau on uk, ko on maur ni om maj pali, jan maj om pokon mia ap lokidokila nan iai en pweleko. (Geenna g1067)
10 See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Kalaka, pwe komail der mamaleki amen tikitik pukat; pwe I indai on komail, me arail tounlan kan, me mi nanlan, kin ariri Jam ai, me kotikot nanlan.
11 For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.
Pwe Nain aramaj kodon dorela, me jalonalar akan.
12 “What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray?
Da me komail lamelame, ma aramaj amen, naineki jip epuki, a amen irail pan jalonala, a jo pan pwilikidi duekduamen pon nana, ap kola raparapaki me jaloriala?
13 If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
A ma a pan diar, melel I indai on komail, a pan peren kida, me men en jan duekduamen, me jota jalonalar.
14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
Iduen Jam omail, me kotikot nanlan, jota kotin men, amen kijin jeri pukat en jalonala.
15 “If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
A ma ri om ol wia dip on uk, en kelep kila i, kapun on i dip a; ma a pan ron uk, nan koe kajapaledo ri om.
16 But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
A ma a jota pan ron uk, ap ukada amen de riamen, pwe meakaroj en mi ren jaunkadede riamen de jilimen.
17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
A ma a kan ron irail, ap kaireki momodijou, a ma a pil kan ron momodijou, ap wia kin i men liki o jaunopwei men.
18 Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.
Melel I indai on komail, me komail pan jaliedi nin jappa, pan jalidi nanlan, o me komail pan lapwada nin jappa, pan lapwada nanlan.
19 Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
I pil indai on komail, ma riamen nin jappa pan minimin pene ni meakot, me re men poeki, a pan pwai on ira jan Jam ai, me kotikot nanlan.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.”
Pwe waja kij, me riamen de jilimen pokon pena ni ad ai, i waja I kin mi nan pun arail.
21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”
Petruj ap kai don i potoan on: Main, pan pak depa i en makeki on ri ai ol o, me wia dip on ia? A itar ma a pan me Ijepak?
22 Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
lejuj kotin majani on i: I indai on uk, kaidin ijepak eta, a pan pak iju wad ijeijok.
23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
I me wein nanlan rajon nanmarki amen, me pan kapukapun na ladu kan.
24 When he had begun to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.
A ni a tapiada kapukapun, amen ap wijike don i, me pwaipwaimdeki talent nen.
25 But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
A ni jota a men pwain, a monjap ap majanier, me a pan netila, o a paud, o na jeri kan, o karoj, me a aneki, pwen pwainda.
26 The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’
A ladu o ap poridi mo a poni, potoan on: Main kom kotin kanonama on ia, i pan pwain on komui karoj.
27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt.
A monjap en ladu o ap pokela, ap lapwada o makeki on i a pwaipwand.
28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’
A ladu ota ap koieila, diaradar kij a ladu amen, me pwaipwand on i denar epuki; i ari koledi i, padik pena tapin wor a indada: Kapunala, ma om pwaipwand mia.
29 “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’
Ladu ap poridi mo a, poeki indada: Kom kotin kanonama on ia, i pan pwain on komui.
30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison until he should pay back that which was due.
A a kan, ap koieila, kajedi on nan imaten lao a kapunala a pwaipwand.
31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told their lord all that was done.
A kij a ladu kan lao kilaner me wiauier, rap mauk kaualap, koieila kaireki arail monjap karoj, me wiauier.
32 Then his lord called him in and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.
A monjap ap ekere don i, majani on i: Koe meid ladu jued amen! I make ki on uk er om pwaipwand karoj pweki om poeki re i.
33 Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’
Menda koe jota kadek on ri om ladu, duen i kin kadek on uk er?
34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors until he should pay all that was due to him.
A monjap ap makar kidar o panalan i ren jaun kalokolok lao a kapunalar a pwaipwand karujia.
35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”
Iduen Jam ai nanlan, pan pil wia on komail, ma komail jota pan makeki jan nan monion omail on ri omail.
