Matthew 11
1 When Jesus had finished directing his twelve disciples, he departed from there to teach and preach in their cities.
ഇത്ഥം യീശുഃ സ്വദ്വാദശശിഷ്യാണാമാജ്ഞാപനം സമാപ്യ പുരേ പുര ഉപദേഷ്ടും സുസംവാദം പ്രചാരയിതും തത്സ്ഥാനാത് പ്രതസ്ഥേ|
2 Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples
അനന്തരം യോഹൻ കാരായാം തിഷ്ഠൻ ഖ്രിഷ്ടസ്യ കർമ്മണാം വാർത്തം പ്രാപ്യ യസ്യാഗമനവാർത്താസീത് സഏവ കിം ത്വം? വാ വയമന്യമ് അപേക്ഷിഷ്യാമഹേ?
3 and said to him, “Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?”
ഏതത് പ്രഷ്ടും നിജൗ ദ്വൗ ശിഷ്യൗ പ്രാഹിണോത്|
4 Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
യീശുഃ പ്രത്യവോചത്, അന്ധാ നേത്രാണി ലഭന്തേ, ഖഞ്ചാ ഗച്ഛന്തി, കുഷ്ഠിനഃ സ്വസ്ഥാ ഭവന്തി, ബധിരാഃ ശൃണ്വന്തി, മൃതാ ജീവന്ത ഉത്തിഷ്ഠന്തി, ദരിദ്രാണാം സമീപേ സുസംവാദഃ പ്രചാര്യ്യത,
5 the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
ഏതാനി യദ്യദ് യുവാം ശൃണുഥഃ പശ്യഥശ്ച ഗത്വാ തദ്വാർത്താം യോഹനം ഗദതം|
6 Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
യസ്യാഹം ന വിഘ്നീഭവാമി, സഏവ ധന്യഃ|
7 As these went their way, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
അനന്തരം തയോഃ പ്രസ്ഥിതയോ ര്യീശു ര്യോഹനമ് ഉദ്ദിശ്യ ജനാൻ ജഗാദ, യൂയം കിം ദ്രഷ്ടും വഹിർമധ്യേപ്രാന്തരമ് അഗച്ഛത? കിം വാതേന കമ്പിതം നലം?
8 But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.
വാ കിം വീക്ഷിതും വഹിർഗതവന്തഃ? കിം പരിഹിതസൂക്ഷ്മവസനം മനുജമേകം? പശ്യത, യേ സൂക്ഷ്മവസനാനി പരിദധതി, തേ രാജധാന്യാം തിഷ്ഠന്തി|
9 But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
തർഹി യൂയം കിം ദ്രഷ്ടും ബഹിരഗമത, കിമേകം ഭവിഷ്യദ്വാദിനം? തദേവ സത്യം| യുഷ്മാനഹം വദാമി, സ ഭവിഷ്യദ്വാദിനോപി മഹാൻ;
10 For this is he, of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’
യതഃ, പശ്യ സ്വകീയദൂതോയം ത്വദഗ്രേ പ്രേഷ്യതേ മയാ| സ ഗത്വാ തവ പന്ഥാനം സ്മയക് പരിഷ്കരിഷ്യതി|| ഏതദ്വചനം യമധി ലിഖിതമാസ്തേ സോഽയം യോഹൻ|
11 Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
അപരം യുഷ്മാനഹം തഥ്യം ബ്രവീമി, മജ്ജയിതു ര്യോഹനഃ ശ്രേഷ്ഠഃ കോപി നാരീതോ നാജായത; തഥാപി സ്വർഗരാജ്യമധ്യേ സർവ്വേഭ്യോ യഃ ക്ഷുദ്രഃ സ യോഹനഃ ശ്രേഷ്ഠഃ|
12 From the days of John the Baptizer until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
അപരഞ്ച ആ യോഹനോഽദ്യ യാവത് സ്വർഗരാജ്യം ബലാദാക്രാന്തം ഭവതി ആക്രമിനശ്ച ജനാ ബലേന തദധികുർവ്വന്തി|
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
യതോ യോഹനം യാവത് സർവ്വഭവിഷ്യദ്വാദിഭി ർവ്യവസ്ഥയാ ച ഉപദേശഃ പ്രാകാശ്യത|
14 If you are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, who is to come.
യദി യൂയമിദം വാക്യം ഗ്രഹീതും ശക്നുഥ, തർഹി ശ്രേയഃ, യസ്യാഗമനസ്യ വചനമാസ്തേ സോഽയമ് ഏലിയഃ|
15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
യസ്യ ശ്രോതും കർണൗ സ്തഃ സ ശൃണോതു|
16 “But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companions
ഏതേ വിദ്യമാനജനാഃ കൈ ർമയോപമീയന്തേ? യേ ബാലകാ ഹട്ട ഉപവിശ്യ സ്വം സ്വം ബന്ധുമാഹൂയ വദന്തി,
17 and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned for you, and you didn’t lament.’
വയം യുഷ്മാകം സമീപേ വംശീരവാദയാമ, കിന്തു യൂയം നാനൃത്യത; യുഷ്മാകം സമീപേ ച വയമരോദിമ, കിന്തു യൂയം ന വ്യലപത, താദൃശൈ ർബാലകൈസ്ത ഉപമായിഷ്യന്തേ|
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’
യതോ യോഹൻ ആഗത്യ ന ഭുക്തവാൻ ന പീതവാംശ്ച, തേന ലോകാ വദന്തി, സ ഭൂതഗ്രസ്ത ഇതി|
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
മനുജസുത ആഗത്യ ഭുക്തവാൻ പീതവാംശ്ച, തേന ലോകാ വദന്തി, പശ്യത ഏഷ ഭോക്താ മദ്യപാതാ ചണ്ഡാലപാപിനാം ബന്ധശ്ച, കിന്തു ജ്ഞാനിനോ ജ്ഞാനവ്യവഹാരം നിർദോഷം ജാനന്തി|
20 Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn’t repent.
സ യത്ര യത്ര പുരേ ബഹ്വാശ്ചര്യ്യം കർമ്മ കൃതവാൻ, തന്നിവാസിനാം മനഃപരാവൃത്ത്യഭാവാത് താനി നഗരാണി പ്രതി ഹന്തേത്യുക്താ കഥിതവാൻ,
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
ഹാ കോരാസീൻ, ഹാ ബൈത്സൈദേ, യുഷ്മന്മധ്യേ യദ്യദാശ്ചര്യ്യം കർമ്മ കൃതം യദി തത് സോരസീദോന്നഗര അകാരിഷ്യത, തർഹി പൂർവ്വമേവ തന്നിവാസിനഃ ശാണവസനേ ഭസ്മനി ചോപവിശന്തോ മനാംസി പരാവർത്തിഷ്യന്ത|
22 But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
തസ്മാദഹം യുഷ്മാൻ വദാമി, വിചാരദിനേ യുഷ്മാകം ദശാതഃ സോരസീദോനോ ർദശാ സഹ്യതരാ ഭവിഷ്യതി|
23 You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today. (Hadēs g86)
അപരഞ്ച ബത കഫർനാഹൂമ്, ത്വം സ്വർഗം യാവദുന്നതോസി, കിന്തു നരകേ നിക്ഷേപ്സ്യസേ, യസ്മാത് ത്വയി യാന്യാശ്ചര്യ്യാണി കർമ്മണ്യകാരിഷത, യദി താനി സിദോമ്നഗര അകാരിഷ്യന്ത, തർഹി തദദ്യ യാവദസ്ഥാസ്യത്| (Hadēs g86)
24 But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment, than for you.”
കിന്ത്വഹം യുഷ്മാൻ വദാമി, വിചാരദിനേ തവ ദണ്ഡതഃ സിദോമോ ദണ്ഡോ സഹ്യതരോ ഭവിഷ്യതി|
25 At that time, Jesus answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.
ഏതസ്മിന്നേവ സമയേ യീശുഃ പുനരുവാച, ഹേ സ്വർഗപൃഥിവ്യോരേകാധിപതേ പിതസ്ത്വം ജ്ഞാനവതോ വിദുഷശ്ച ലോകാൻ പ്രത്യേതാനി ന പ്രകാശ്യ ബാലകാൻ പ്രതി പ്രകാശിതവാൻ, ഇതി ഹേതോസ്ത്വാം ധന്യം വദാമി|
26 Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.
ഹേ പിതഃ, ഇത്ഥം ഭവേത് യത ഇദം ത്വദൃഷ്ടാവുത്തമം|
27 All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
പിത്രാ മയി സർവ്വാണി സമർപിതാനി, പിതരം വിനാ കോപി പുത്രം ന ജാനാതി, യാൻ പ്രതി പുത്രേണ പിതാ പ്രകാശ്യതേ താൻ വിനാ പുത്രാദ് അന്യഃ കോപി പിതരം ന ജാനാതി|
28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
ഹേ പരിശ്രാന്താ ഭാരാക്രാന്താശ്ച ലോകാ യൂയം മത്സന്നിധിമ് ആഗച്ഛത, അഹം യുഷ്മാൻ വിശ്രമയിഷ്യാമി|
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.
അഹം ക്ഷമണശീലോ നമ്രമനാശ്ച, തസ്മാത് മമ യുഗം സ്വേഷാമുപരി ധാരയത മത്തഃ ശിക്ഷധ്വഞ്ച, തേന യൂയം സ്വേ സ്വേ മനസി വിശ്രാമം ലപ്സ്യധ്ബേ|
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
യതോ മമ യുഗമ് അനായാസം മമ ഭാരശ്ച ലഘുഃ|
