Mark 6
1 He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
Und er ging aus von dannen, und kam in seine Vaterstadt; und seine Jünger folgten ihm nach.
2 When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
Und da der Sabbat kam, fing er an in der Synagoge zu lehren; und viele, die es hörten, verwunderten sich, und sprachen: Woher kommt diesem daß? Und was ist die ihm gegebene Weisheit? Und dergleichen Krafttaten geschehen durch seine Hände?
3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him.
Ist dieser nicht der Bauhandwerker, Marias Sohn, und Bruder des Jakobus und Joses und Judas und Simon? Und sind nicht seine Brüder und seine Schwestern hier bei uns? Und sie stießen sich an ihm. -
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”
Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nicht unwert, außer in seiner Vaterstadt, und bei seinen Verwandten, und in seinem Hause!
5 He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them.
Und konnte daselbst keine Krafttaten tun, außer daß er wenigen Kranken die Hände auflegte, und sie heilte.
6 He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.
Und er wunderte sich ob ihrem Unglauben, und zog umher in den Dörfern im Umkreis, und lehrte.
7 He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
Und er berief die Zwölfe, und fing an sie auszusenden, zwei und zwei, und gab ihnen Macht über die unsaubern Geister,
8 He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,
Und gebot ihnen, daß sie nichts auf den Weg mitnähmen, außer einen Stab allein, weder Tasche, noch Brot, noch Geld im Gürtel,
9 but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.
Aber beschuht mit Sandalen; und ziehet nicht zwei Kleider an!
10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
Und er sagte ihnen: Wo ihr eingehet in ein Haus, daselbst bleibet, bis ihr von dannen fortgeht!
11 Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
Und welche euch nicht aufnehmen, und euch nicht hören, von dannen ziehet aus, und schüttelt den Staub ab, unter euern Füßen, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
12 They went out and preached that people should repent.
Und gehet aus, und prediget, daß sie ihre Gesinnung ändern sollen.
13 They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick and healed them.
Und sie trieben viele Dämonen aus, und salbten mit Öl viele Kranke, und heilten sie.
14 King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
Und der König Herodes hörte (von ihm), denn sein Name war nun bekannt, und sagte: Johannes, der Täufer, ist von den Toten auferstanden, und darum sind die Kräfte in ihm wirksam.
15 But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”
Andere aber sagten: Er ist Elias. Andere aber sagten: Ein Prophet ist er, wie einer von den Propheten.
16 But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”
Als aber Herodes hörte, sprach er: Dieser ist Johannes, denn ich enthauptet habe, der ist von den Toten auferstandten.
17 For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
Denn er selbst, Herodes, hatte gesandt, und Johannes ergriffen, und ihn im Gefängnis gebunden, um Herodias willen, seines Bruders Philippus Weib, denn er hatte sie geehelicht.
18 For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
Denn Johannes sprach zu Herodes: Es ist dir nicht erlaubt, das Weib deines Bruders zu haben.
19 Herodias set herself against him and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,
Herodias aber trug es ihm nach, und wollte ihn töten, konnte aber nicht.
20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.
Denn Herodes fürchtete den Johannes, denn er wußte, daß er ein gerechter und heiliger Mann war, und verwahrte ihn, und tat vieles, nachdem er ihn gehört hatte, und hörte ihn gerne.
21 Then a convenient day came when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.
Und es kam ein günstiger Tag, da Herodes auf seinen Geburtstag ein Mahl machte seinen Großen und den Hauptleuten und Ersten Galiläas.
22 When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”
Da trat hinein ihre, der Herodias, Tochter, und tanzte, und gefiel dem König wohl und denen, die mit ihm zu Tische lagen, so daß der König zur Dirne sprach: Bitte mich, was ich dir geben soll, und ich werde dir´s geben.
23 He swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”
Und er schwur ihr: Was immer du von mir bittest, das werde ich dir geben, bis auf die Hälfte meines Königsreiches.
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”
Sie aber ging hinaus, und sprach zu ihrer Mutter: Was soll ich bitten? Sie aber sprach: Den Kopf Johannis des Täufers.
25 She came in immediately with haste to the king and requested, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”
Und sie ging alsbald mit Eile zum König, bat ihn, und sprach: Ich will, daß du mir gebest jetzt gleich auf einer Schüssel den Kopf Johannis des Täufers.
26 The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.
Und der König wurde sehr traurig, doch um der Eide willen, und derer, die mit zu Tische lagern, wollte er ihr´s nicht abschlagen,
27 Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard and commanded to bring John’s head; and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
Und der König sandte alsbald einen Trabanten, und befahl seinen Kopf zu bringen.
28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.
Der aber ging hin, und köpfte ihn im Gefängnis, und brachte seinen Kopf auf einer Schüssel, und gab ihn der Dirne, und die Dirne gab ihn ihrer Mutter.
29 When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse and laid it in a tomb.
Und als seine Jünger es hörten, kamen sie, und nahmen seinen Leib, und bestatteten ihn in einem Grabmal.
30 The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
Und die Apostel versammelten sich zu Jesus, und verkündigten ihm alles, sowohl was sie getan, als was sie gelehrt hatten.
31 He said to them, “Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Kommet ihr selbst besonders, an einen wüsten Ort, und ruhet ein wenig; denn die da kamen und gingen waren viele, und sie hatten auch nicht Zeit zu essen.
32 They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.
Und sie gingen an einen wüsten Ort bei Seite, in einem Boot.
33 They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.
Und es sahen sie weggehen und erkannten sie viele, und sie liefen zu Fuß von allen Städten daselbst zusammen, und kamen ihnen zuvor, und gingen zusammen zu ihm.
34 Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.
Und als Jesus ausstieg, sah er viel Volk, und es jammerte ihn ihrer, denn sie waren wie Schafe die keinen Hirten haben, und er fing an sie vieles zu lehren.
35 When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.
Und als es schon spät an der Zeit geworden war, kamen seine Jünger zu ihm und sagen: Wüste ist der Ort und schon spät die Stunde;
36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”
Entlasse sie, daß sie hingehen in die Gefilde und Dörfer im Umkreise, und sich Brote kaufen, denn sie haben nichts zu essen.
37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”
Er aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Gebet ihr ihnen zu essen. Und sie sagen ihm: Sollen wir hingehen und für zweihundert Denare Brote kaufen, und ihnen zu essen geben?
38 He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
Er aber sagt ihnen: Wie viel Brot habt ihr? Gehet hin und sehet! Und als sie es mußten, sagten sie: Fünf, und zwei Fische.
39 He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
Und er befahl ihnen, daß alle sich niederlassen sollten, Gesellschaft bei Gesellschaft, auf dem grünen Gras.
40 They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
Und sie fielen nieder, Gruppe an Gruppe, je hundert und hundert, und fünfzig und fünfzig.
41 He took the five loaves and the two fish; and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
Und er nahm die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, blickte hinauf gen Himmel, segnete und brach die Brote, und gab sie seinen Jüngern, daß sie ihnen gäben, und die zwei Fische verteilte er allen.
42 They all ate and were filled.
Und sie aßen alle und wurden gesättigt.
43 They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
Und sie hoben auf an Brocken zwölf Körbe voll, und von den Fischen;
44 Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
Und die, welche die Brote gegessen hatten, waren fünftausend Männer.
45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.
Und alsbald nötigte er seine Jünger, in das Boot zu steigen, und voraus an jenseitige Ufer, nach Bethsaida, zu gehen, bis daß er den Volkshaufen entließe.
46 After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
Und da er sie verabschiedet hatte, ging er auf den Berg zu beten.
47 When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
Und als es spät geworden war, war das Boot in der Mitte des Sees, und er allein auf dem Lande.
48 Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them,
Und er sah, wie sie Mühe hatten mit dem Rudern, denn der Wind war ihnen entgegen. Und um die vierte Wache der Nacht kommt er zu ihnen, auf dem See wandelnd, und wollte an ihnen vorübergehen.
49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;
Sie aber, als sie ihn auf dem See wandeln sahen, meinten, es sei eine Erscheinung, und schrieen laut auf,
50 for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”
Denn sie sahen ihn alle, und waren erschrocken, und alsbald redete er mit ihnen, und sagte zu ihnen: Seid getrost! Ich bin es; fürchtet euch nicht!
51 He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;
Und er stieg ein zu ihnen in das Boot, und der Wind legte sich, und sie entsetzten und verwunderten sich sehr, bei sich selbst über die Maßen.
52 for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
Denn sie waren nicht verständig geworden ob den Broten, denn ihr Herz war verhärtet.
53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.
Und als sie übergefahren waren, kamen sie in das Land Genesaret, und fuhren an.
54 When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
Und als sie aus dem Boote gingen, erkannte man ihn alsbald,
55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick on their mats to where they heard he was.
Und liefe umher in jene ganze Umgegend, und fing an, auf Bahren die, welche sich übel befanden, umherzutragen dahin, wo man hörte, daß er sei.
56 Wherever he entered—into villages, or into cities, or into the country—they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.
Und wo er in Dörfer, oder Städte, oder Gefilde ging, da legte man die Kranken auf den Markt, und bat ihn, daß sie nur die Quaste seines Kleides anrühren möchten, und wie viele ihn anrührten, denen wurde geholfen.
