Mark 12
1 He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country.
౧ఆ తరువాత ఆయన వారితో ఉదాహరణలతో మాట్లాడసాగాడు. “ఒకడు ద్రాక్షతోట వేసి చుట్టూ గోడ కట్టాడు. ద్రాక్షపళ్ళు తొక్కడానికి గానుగ తొట్టి కట్టించి, అక్కడే ఒక కావలి గోపురం కూడా కట్టించాడు. ఆ తరువాత ఆ ద్రాక్షతోటను రైతులకు కౌలుకిచ్చి ప్రయాణమై దూర దేశానికి వెళ్ళాడు.
2 When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
౨పంటకాలం వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆ ద్రాక్షపండ్లలో తనకు రావలసిన భాగం తీసుకురమ్మని ఒక సేవకుణ్ణి వారి దగ్గరికి పంపాడు.
3 They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
౩అయితే ఆ రైతులు ఆ సేవకుణ్ణి పట్టుకుని కొట్టి, వట్టి చేతులతో పంపివేశారు.
4 Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
౪అతడు మళ్ళీ ఇంకొక సేవకుణ్ణి పంపాడు. వారు అతని తలపై గాయపరచి, అవమానించి పంపివేశారు.
5 Again he sent another, and they killed him, and many others, beating some, and killing some.
౫అతడు ఇంకొక సేవకుణ్ణి కూడా పంపాడు. వారు అతణ్ణి చంపేశారు. అతడింకా చాలా మందిని పంపాడు. కాని, ఆ రైతులు వారిలో కొందరిని కొట్టి, ఇంకొందరిని చంపారు.
6 Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
౬వారి దగ్గరికి పంపడానికి ఇక తన ప్రియ కుమారుడు ఒక్కడే మిగిలాడు. వారు తన కుమారుణ్ణి గౌరవిస్తారనుకుని చివరిగా అతడు తన కుమారుణ్ణి పంపాడు.
7 But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
౭కాని ఆ కౌలుదారులు ‘ఇతడే వారసుడు! ఇతన్ని చంపుదాం. అప్పుడు వారసత్వం మనది అవుతుంది’ అని తమలో తాము మాట్లాడుకున్నారు.
8 They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
౮వారు అతన్ని పట్టుకుని, చంపి ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట అవతల పారవేశారు.
9 What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
౯అప్పుడు ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట యజమాని ఏం చేస్తాడు? వచ్చి ఆ రైతులను చంపి, ఆ ద్రాక్షతోటను ఇతరులకు కౌలుకిస్తాడు.
10 Haven’t you even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.
౧౦మీరు ఈ లేఖనం చదవలేదా? ‘ఇల్లు కట్టేవారు పనికి రాదని పారవేసిన రాయి తలరాయిగా మారింది.
11 This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”
౧౧అది ప్రభువు మూలంగా జరిగింది. ఇది మా దృష్టిలో అద్భుతంగా ఉంది.’”
12 They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him and went away.
౧౨ఈ ఉపమానం తమ గురించే చెప్పాడని వారు గ్రహించారు. కనుక ఆయనను బంధించాలని చూశారు కాని, ప్రజల గుంపును చూసి జంకారు. అందువల్ల ఆయనను వదిలి వెళ్ళిపోయారు.
13 They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words.
౧౩యేసును ఆయన మాటల్లోనే పట్టుకోవాలని వారు పరిసయ్యుల, హేరోదీయుల అనుచరులు కొందరిని ఆయన దగ్గరికి పంపారు.
14 When they had come, they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’t defer to anyone; for you aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
౧౪వారు వచ్చి ఇలా అన్నారు, “బోధకా! నీవు నిజం మాట్లాడేవాడివని మాకు తెలుసు. ఎవరినీ లెక్కచేయవని మాకు తెలుసు. నీవు మనుషులను పక్షపాతంతో చూడకుండా, సత్యమార్గాన్ని ఉన్నది ఉన్నట్టు బోధిస్తావు. సీజరు చక్రవర్తికి పన్నులు కట్టడం న్యాయమా కాదా?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give?” But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.”
౧౫మనం పన్నులు కట్టాలా? మానాలా?” అని అడిగారు. అయితే యేసుకు వారి కుయుక్తి తెలిసి వారితో, “నన్నెందుకు పరీక్షిస్తున్నారు? ఒక దేనారం తీసుకు రండి” అన్నాడు.
16 They brought it. He said to them, “Whose is this image and inscription?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.”
౧౬వారు ఒక నాణాన్ని తీసుకు వచ్చారు. “దీని మీద ఎవరి బొమ్మ ఉంది? ఎవరి శాసనం ఉంది?” అని ఆయన అడిగాడు. వారాయనతో, “సీజరుది” అన్నారు.
17 Jesus answered them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” They marveled greatly at him.
౧౭అప్పుడు యేసు వారితో, “సీజరుకు చెందింది సీజరుకు ఇవ్వండి, దేవునికి చెందింది దేవునికి ఇవ్వండి” అన్నాడు. ఆయన సమాధానం విని వాళ్ళు ఆశ్చర్యపోయారు.
18 Some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to him. They asked him, saying,
౧౮అప్పుడు చనిపోయిన వారు తిరిగి బతకరు అని బోధించే సద్దూకయ్యులు కొందరు ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చి ఆయనకు ఒక ప్రశ్న వేశారు.
19 “Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’
౧౯“బోధకా, ఒకడి సోదరుడు చనిపోతే, ఆ చనిపోయిన సోదరుని భార్యను అతడి సోదరుడు పెళ్ళి చేసుకుని, చనిపోయిన సోదరునికి సంతానం కలిగేలా చెయ్యాలని మోషే మనకోసం ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో రాశాడు.
20 There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
౨౦ఏడుగురు అన్నదమ్ములున్నారు. మొదటి వాడు ఒక స్త్రీని పెళ్ళి చేసుకుని సంతానం లేకుండా చనిపోయాడు.
21 The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;
౨౧రెండవవాడు ఆమెను పెళ్ళిచేసుకున్నాడు. అతడు కూడా సంతానం లేకుండా చనిపోయాడు. మూడవ వాడికి కూడా అలాగే జరిగింది.
22 and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.
౨౨ఆ ఏడుగురూ ఆమెను పెళ్ళిచేసుకుని సంతానం లేకుండా చనిపోయారు. చివరికి ఆ స్త్రీ కూడా చనిపోయింది.
23 In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”
౨౩చనిపోయిన వారు తిరిగి బ్రతికినపుడు ఆమె ఎవరి భార్యగా ఉంటుంది? ఆమెను ఆ ఏడుగురూ పెళ్ళి చేసుకున్నారు కదా!” అని అడిగారు.
24 Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?
౨౪యేసు వారికి జవాబిస్తూ, “మీకు లేఖనాలు, దేవుని శక్తి తెలియవు గనుక పొరబడుతున్నారు.
25 For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
౨౫చనిపోయిన వారు తిరిగి బ్రతికిన తరువాత వివాహం చేసుకోరు. వారు పరలోకంలో ఉన్న దేవదూతల్లా ఉంటారు.
26 But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
౨౬ఇక చనిపోయిన వారు బ్రతకడం విషయమైతే, మోషే తాను రాసిన గ్రంథంలో ‘పొదను గురించిన భాగం’ రాసినప్పుడు దేవుడతనితో, ‘నేను అబ్రాహాముకు దేవుణ్ణి, ఇస్సాకుకు దేవుణ్ణి, యాకోబుకు దేవుణ్ణి’ అని అతనితో చెప్పాడు.
27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”
౨౭తాను వారికి దేవుణ్ణి అని అన్నప్పుడు ఆయన చనిపోయిన వారి దేవుడు కాదు, బ్రతికి ఉన్నవారికి మాత్రమే దేవుడు. మీరు చాలా పొరబడుతున్నారు” అన్నాడు.
28 One of the scribes came and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?”
౨౮ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితుల్లో ఒకడు వచ్చి వారి వాదన విన్నాడు. యేసు చక్కని సమాధానం చెప్పాడని గ్రహించి, “ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిలో ముఖ్యమైన ఆజ్ఞ ఏది?” అని ఆయనను అడిగాడు.
29 Jesus answered, “The greatest is: ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
౨౯అప్పుడు యేసు, “ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిలో ముఖ్యమైనది ఇది, ‘ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలారా వినండి, ప్రభువైన మన దేవుడు, ఆ ప్రభువు ఒక్కడే.
30 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
౩౦పూర్ణ హృదయంతో, పూర్ణ ఆత్మతో, పూర్ణ మనసుతో, పూర్ణ బలంతో నీ దేవుడైన ప్రభువును ప్రేమించాలి.’ ఇది ప్రధాన ఆజ్ఞ.
31 The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
౩౧రెండవది, ‘నిన్ను నీవెంతగా ప్రేమించుకుంటావో నీ పొరుగువాణ్ణి అంతగా ప్రేమించాలి.’ వీటికి మించిన ఆజ్ఞ మరొకటి లేదు” అని జవాబిచ్చాడు.
32 The scribe said to him, “Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he;
౩౨ఆ ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితుడు, “అయ్యా, మీరు బాగా చెప్పారు. దేవుడొక్కడే అనీ, ఆయన తప్ప వేరే దేవుడు లేడనీ మీరు చెప్పింది నిజమే.
33 and to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
౩౩పూర్ణ హృదయంతో, పూర్ణ బుద్ధితో, పూర్ణ బలంతో ఆయనను ప్రేమించడం, మనలను ప్రేమించుకున్నట్టే మన పొరుగు వాణ్ణి ప్రేమించడం అన్ని హోమాల కన్నా, బలుల కన్నా ముఖ్యం” అన్నాడు.
34 When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from God’s Kingdom.” No one dared ask him any question after that.
౩౪అతడు వివేకంగా జవాబు చెప్పాడని యేసు గ్రహించి అతనితో, “నీవు దేవుని రాజ్యానికి దూరంగా లేవు” అన్నాడు. ఆ తరువాత ఆయనను ప్రశ్నలు అడగడానికి ఎవ్వరికీ ధైర్యం లేకపోయింది.
35 Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?
౩౫యేసు దేవాలయంలో ఉపదేశం చేస్తూ, “క్రీస్తు దావీదు కుమారుడని ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులు ఎలా అంటున్నారు?
36 For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’
౩౬దావీదు, తానే పరిశుద్ధాత్మ మూలంగా మాట్లాడుతూ, ‘ప్రభువు నా ప్రభువుతో పలికిన వాక్కు, నీ శత్రువులను నీ పాదాల కింద ఉంచే వరకూ నా కుడి పక్కన కూర్చో’ అన్నాడు.
37 Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.
౩౭దావీదు స్వయంగా ఆయనను ‘ప్రభువు’ అని పిలిచాడు కదా! అలాంటప్పుడు క్రీస్తు అతనికి కుమారుడు ఎలా అవుతాడు?” అన్నాడు. అక్కడున్న ప్రజలు ఎంతో సంతోషంతో ఆయన మాటలు విన్నారు.
38 In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,
౩౮ఆయన ఇంకా ఎన్నో విషయాలు బోధిస్తూ ఈ విధంగా అన్నాడు, “ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితుల విషయంలో జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండండి. వారు పొడవాటి దుస్తులు ధరించి, సంత వీధుల్లో తిరుగుతూ ప్రజలు తమకు నమస్కరించాలని కోరుతూ,
39 and to get the best seats in the synagogues and the best places at feasts,
౩౯సమాజ మందిరాల్లో అగ్రస్థానాలను, విందుల్లో గౌరవప్రదమైన స్థానాలను కోరుకుంటారు.
40 those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
౪౦వారు విధవరాళ్ళ ఇళ్ళను దోచుకుంటూ పైకి మాత్రం నటనగా గంటల తరబడి ప్రార్థనలు చేస్తారు. అలాంటి వారిని దేవుడు తీవ్రంగా శిక్షిస్తాడు.”
41 Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.
౪౧యేసు, దేవాలయంలో కానుకలు వేసే పెట్టెలో మనుషులు డబ్బు వేయడం గమనిస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. ధనవంతులు చాలా మంది పెద్ద మొత్తాలను ఆ పెట్టెలో వేశారు.
42 A poor widow came and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin.
౪౨అప్పుడు ఒక పేద వితంతువు వచ్చి రెండు నాణాలు ఆ పెట్టెలో వేసింది.
43 He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
౪౩ఆయన తన శిష్యులను దగ్గరికి పిలిచి, “నేను మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెప్పేదేమంటే, కానుక పెట్టెలో డబ్బులు వేసిన వారందరికంటే ఈ పేద వితంతువు ఎక్కువ వేసింది.
44 for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”
౪౪మిగతావారు తాము దాచుకున్న ధనంలో కొంత మాత్రమే వేశారు కాని, ఈమె పేదదైనా తన దగ్గర ఉన్నదంతా వేసింది” అన్నాడు.
