Mark 11
1 When they came near to Jerusalem, to Bethsphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples
Khi đến gần Giê-ru-sa-lem, ngang làng Bê-pha-giê và Bê-tha-ni, trên núi Ô-liu, Chúa Giê-xu sai hai môn đệ đi trước.
2 and said to them, “Go your way into the village that is opposite you. Immediately as you enter into it, you will find a young donkey tied, on which no one has sat. Untie him and bring him.
Ngài dặn họ: “Các con cứ đi đến làng trước mặt, vừa vào làng, sẽ thấy một con lừa con chưa ai cưỡi đang cột tại đó. Cứ mở dây dắt lừa về đây cho Ta.
3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs him;’ and immediately he will send him back here.”
Nếu ai hỏi, các con trả lời: ‘Chúa cần dùng nó, rồi sẽ trả ngay.’”
4 They went away, and found a young donkey tied at the door outside in the open street, and they untied him.
Hai môn đệ vâng lệnh ra đi, quả nhiên thấy lừa con buộc nơi cổng bên đường. Khi họ mở dây,
5 Some of those who stood there asked them, “What are you doing, untying the young donkey?”
có mấy người đứng đó hỏi: “Các ông mở lừa làm gì?”
6 They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
Hai môn đệ lặp lại những lời Chúa Giê-xu đã dặn, người ta liền để cho đi.
7 They brought the young donkey to Jesus and threw their garments on it, and Jesus sat on it.
Họ đem lừa con về cho Chúa, lấy áo mình lót trên lưng lừa để Ngài lên cưỡi.
8 Many spread their garments on the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.
Nhiều người trải áo trên đường, người khác rải lá cây vừa bẻ ngoài đồng.
9 Those who went in front and those who followed cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Người đi trước, người theo sau đều tung hô: “Chúc tụng Đức Chúa Trời! Phước cho Đấng nhân danh Chúa Hằng Hữu mà đến!
10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
Phước cho Vương Quốc sắp đến của tổ phụ Đa-vít! Chúc tụng Đức Chúa Trời trên nơi chí cao!”
11 Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
Chúa Giê-xu đến Giê-ru-sa-lem, vào trong Đền Thờ. Sau khi quan sát mọi vật, Ngài rời khỏi đó vì trời đã tối. Ngài đem mười hai sứ đồ trở lại Bê-tha-ni.
12 The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
Hôm sau, khi rời Bê-tha-ni, Chúa đói.
13 Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
Từ xa, Ngài thấy một cây vả sum suê, liền lại gần hái trái, nhưng chỉ thấy lá, vì chưa tới mùa.
14 Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it. (aiōn g165)
Chúa quở cây ấy: “Từ nay về sau, không ai ăn trái của cây này nữa!” Các môn đệ đều nghe lời đó. (aiōn g165)
15 They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.
Trở lại Giê-ru-sa-lem, Chúa Giê-xu vào Đền Thờ, đuổi hết những người mua bán ra ngoài. Ngài lật đổ bàn của bọn đổi tiền, ghế của bọn bán bồ câu,
16 He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
và cấm không cho đem hàng hóa vào Đền Thờ.
17 He taught, saying to them, “Isn’t it written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers!”
Chúa phán với họ: “Thánh Kinh chép: ‘Đền Thờ Ta là nơi muôn dân cầu nguyện,’ nhưng các người đã biến thành sào huyệt trộm cướp.”
18 The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
Các thầy trưởng tế và thầy dạy luật biết được việc đó, liền tìm cách thủ tiêu Ngài, nhưng họ sợ dân nổi loạn, vì dân chúng hết sức hâm mộ lời Ngài giảng dạy.
19 When evening came, he went out of the city.
Đến tối, Chúa và các môn đệ ra khỏi thành.
20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
Sáng hôm sau, đi ngang qua cây vả, các môn đệ thấy nó khô từ gốc đến ngọn.
21 Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”
Nhớ lại lời Chúa Giê-xu đã phán, Phi-e-rơ kêu lên: “Thầy ơi, cây vả Thầy quở hôm qua nay đã chết khô rồi!”
22 Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Các con phải có đức tin nơi Đức Chúa Trời.
23 For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
Ta quả quyết, nếu người nào có niềm tin vững chắc không chút nghi ngờ, có thể ra lệnh thì núi này cũng bị bứng lên, quăng xuống biển.
24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
Vì thế, Ta bảo các con: Khi cầu nguyện, hãy tin đã được, tất các con xin gì được nấy.
25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
Khi các con cầu nguyện, nếu có điều bất bình với ai, hãy tha thứ để Cha các con trên trời tha lỗi các con.”
26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”
27 They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him,
Chúa Giê-xu và các môn đệ trở vào thành Giê-ru-sa-lem. Khi Ngài đang đi trong sân Đền Thờ, các thầy trưởng tế, các thầy dạy luật và các trưởng lão đến hỏi Ngài:
28 and they began saying to him, “By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”
“Thầy cậy uy quyền gì để làm các việc đó? Ai ủy quyền cho Thầy?”
29 Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Ta cũng hỏi các ông một câu, nếu các ông trả lời được, Ta sẽ giải đáp câu hỏi của các ông.
30 The baptism of John—was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.”
Lễ báp-tem của Giăng bắt nguồn từ trời hay từ người?”
31 They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we should say, ‘From heaven;’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
Họ thảo luận với nhau: “Nếu ta nói từ trời, ông ấy sẽ hỏi: Sao các ông không tin Giăng?
32 If we should say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all held John to really be a prophet.
Nếu ta nói từ người, thì sợ dân chúng, vì dân chúng đều công nhận Giăng là nhà tiên tri của Đức Chúa Trời.”
33 They answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
Vậy nên, họ thưa với Chúa: “Chúng tôi không biết!” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Nếu thế Ta cũng không nói cho các ông biết nguồn gốc uy quyền của Ta.”
