Mark 1
1 The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Commencement de l’Evangile de Jésus-Christ, Fils de Dieu.
2 As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:
Selon qu’il est écrit dans le prophète Isaïe: Voici que j’envoie mon ange devant ta face, et il préparera ton chemin devant toi;
3 the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”
voix de celui qui crie dans le désert: Préparez le chemin du Seigneur, rendez droit ses sentiers;
4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
Jean était dans le désert, baptisant et prêchant le baptême de pénitence pour la rémission des péchés.
5 All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
Et tout le pays de Judée et tous les habitants de Jérusalem venaient à lui; et ils étaient baptisés par lui dans le fleuve du Jourdain, confessant leurs péchés.
6 John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
Or Jean était vêtu de poils de chameau, il avait une ceinture de cuir autour de ses reins, et il se nourrissait de sauterelles et de miel sauvage. Et il prêchait en disant:
7 He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
Il vient après moi, celui qui est plus puissant que moi, et je ne suis pas digne de délier, en me baissant, la courroie de ses sandales.
8 I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
Moi, je vous ai baptisés dans l’eau; mais lui, il vous baptisera dans l’Esprit-Saint.
9 In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
Or, il arriva qu’en ces jours-là, Jésus vint de Nazareth, en Galilée, et il fut baptisé par Jean dans le Jourdain.
10 Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
Et soudain, comme il sortait de l’eau, il vit les cieux s’ouvrir, et l’Esprit, comme une colombe, descendre et s’arrêter sur lui.
11 A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Et une voix se fit entendre des cieux: Tu es mon Fils bien-aimé; en toi j’ai mis mes complaisances.
12 Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
Et aussitôt l’Esprit le poussa dans le désert.
13 He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
Il passa dans le désert quarante jours et quarante nuits, et il était tenté par Satan, et il était avec les bêtes sauvages, et les anges le servaient.
14 Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
Mais, après que Jean eut été mis en prison, Jésus vint en Galilée, prêchant l’Evangile du royaume de Dieu,
15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
et disant: Le temps est accompli, et le royaume de Dieu est proche; faites pénitence, et croyez à l’Evangile.
16 Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
Or, comme il passait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit Simon et André, son frère, qui jetaient leurs filets dans la mer, car ils étaient pêcheurs.
17 Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
Et Jésus leur dit: Suivez-moi, et je vous ferai devenir pêcheurs d’hommes.
18 Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
Et aussitôt, laissant leurs filets, ils le suivirent.
19 Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
De là, s’étant un peu avancé, il vit Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, son frère, qui étaient aussi dans une barque, raccommodant leurs filets;
20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
et aussitôt il les appela. Et ayant laissé Zébédée, leur père, dans la barque avec les mercenaires, ils le suivirent.
21 They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
Ils entrèrent dans Capharnaüm; et aussitôt, le jour du sabbat, entrant dans la synagogue, il les instruisait.
22 They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Et ils étaient frappés de sa doctrine, car il les instruisait comme ayant autorité, et non pas comme les scribes.
23 Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
Or, il y avait dans leur synagogue un homme possédé d’un esprit impur, qui s’écria,
24 saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
disant: Qu’y a-t-il entre nous et vous, Jésus de Nazareth? Etes-vous venu pour nous perdre? Je sais que vous êtes le saint de Dieu.
25 Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
Et Jésus le menaça en disant: Tais-toi, et sors de cet homme.
26 The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
Et l’esprit impur, l’agitant avec violence, et poussant un grand cri, sortit de lui.
27 They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
Et tous furent dans l’admiration, de sorte qu’ils se demandaient entre eux: Qu’est-ce que ceci? Quelle est cette nouvelle doctrine? car il commande avec empire même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent.
28 The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
Et sa renommée se répandit aussitôt dans tout le pays de Galilée.
29 Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Et aussitôt, sortant de la synagogue, ils vinrent dans la maison de Simon et d’André, avec Jacques et Jean.
30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
Or, la belle-mère de Simon était couchée, ayant la fièvre, et aussitôt ils lui parlèrent d’elle.
31 He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
Et s’approchant, il la souleva, la prenant par la main; et à l’instant la fièvre la quitta, et elle les servait.
32 At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
Le soir venu, lorsque le soleil fut couché, on lui amena tous les malades et les possédés du démon;
33 All the city was gathered together at the door.
et toute la ville était rassemblée devant la porte.
34 He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
Et il en guérit beaucoup qui étaient tourmentés de diverses maladies, et il chassa de nombreux démons, et il ne leur permettait pas de dire qu’ils le connaissaient.
35 Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
S’étant levé de très grand matin, il sortit et alla dans un lieu désert, et là il priait.
36 Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
Simon le suivit, ainsi que ceux qui étaient avec lui.
37 They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
Et quand ils l’eurent trouvé, ils lui dirent: Tout le monde vous cherche.
38 He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
Et il leur dit: Allons dans les villages voisins et dans les villes, afin que j’y prêche aussi; car c’est pour cela que je suis venu.
39 He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
Et il prêcha dans leurs synagogues et dans toute la Galilée, et chassait les démons.
40 A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
Or, un lépreux vint à lui, le suppliant; et fléchissant le genou, il lui dit: Si vous le voulez, vous pouvez me guérir.
41 Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
Jésus, ayant pitié de lui, étendit la main, le toucha, et lui dit: Je le veux, sois guéri.
42 When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
Et lorsqu’il eut dit cette parole, la lèpre le quitta aussitôt, et il fut guéri.
43 He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
Jésus le menaça et le renvoya aussitôt,
44 and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
en lui disant: Garde-toi de rien dire à personne; mais va, montre-toi au prince des prêtres, et offre pour ta guérison ce que Moïse a ordonné, afin que cela leur serve de témoignage.
45 But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
Mais cet homme, étant parti, se mit à raconter et à publier la chose, de sorte que Jésus ne pouvait plus entrer ouvertement dans une ville; mais il se tenait dehors, dans des lieux déserts, et l’on venait à lui de toutes parts.
