Luke 24
1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
૧અઠવાડિયાને પહેલે દિવસે, પ્રભાતે, જે સુગંધીદ્રવ્યો તેઓએ તૈયાર કર્યાં હતાં તે લઈને તે સ્ત્રીઓ તેમની કબરે આવી.
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
૨તેઓએ કબર પરથી પથ્થર ગબડાવેલો દીઠો.
3 They entered in, and didn’t find the Lord Jesus’ body.
૩તેઓએ કબરમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો પણ પ્રભુ ઈસુનું શબ તેઓને જોવા મળ્યું નહિ.
4 While they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.
૪એમ થયું કે, એ સંબંધી તેઓ ગૂંચવણમાં પડી હતી, ત્યારે ચળકતાં વસ્ત્ર પહેરેલા બે પુરુષો તેઓને દેખાયા.
5 Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. The men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?
૫તેઓએ ડરીને જમીન સુધી પોતાનાં માથાં નમાવ્યાં, ત્યારે તેઓએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘મૂએલાંઓમાં જીવતાંને કેમ શોધો છો?
6 He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,
૬તે અહીં નથી, પણ ઊઠયા છે; યાદ કરો કે તે ગાલીલમાં હતા ત્યારે તેમણે તમને શું કહ્યું હતું?
7 saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?”
૭પાપી માણસોના હાથમાં માણસનો દીકરો પરસ્વાધીન કરાય તથા વધસ્તંભે જડાય અને ત્રીજે દિવસે પાછા ઊઠે એ જરૂરનું છે.’”
8 They remembered his words,
૮તેમને ઈસુની વાતો યાદ આવી.
9 returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
૯કબર આગળથી પાછી આવીને તેઓએ અગિયાર શિષ્યોને તથા બીજા સર્વને એ બધી વાતો કહી.
10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.
૧૦હવે જેઓએ આ વાત પ્રેરિતોને કહી તે મરિયમ મગ્દલાની, યોહાન્ના, યાકૂબની મા મરિયમ તથા તેમની સાથેની બીજી સ્ત્રીઓ હતી.
11 These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn’t believe them.
૧૧એ વાતો તેઓને અક્કલ વગરની લાગી, અને તેઓએ તેઓનો વિશ્વાસ કર્યો નહિ.
12 But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.
૧૨પણ પિતર ઊઠીને કબરે દોડી ગયો; અને નીચા વળીને અંદર જોયું તો તેણે શણના વસ્ત્રો એકલા પડેલા જોયા; અને જે થયું હતું તે સંબંધી પોતાના મનમાં તે આશ્ચર્ય પામતો પોતાને ઘરે ગયો.
13 Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem.
૧૩તે જ દિવસે તેઓમાં બે, એમ્મૌસ નામનું એક ગામ યરુશાલેમથી લગભગ સાત માઇલ દૂર છે, ત્યાં જતા હતા.
14 They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened.
૧૪આ બધી બનેલી બીનાઓ વિષે તેઓ એકબીજાની સાથે વાત કરતા હતા.
15 While they talked and questioned together, Jesus himself came near, and went with them.
૧૫એમ થયું કે તેઓ એકબીજાની સાથે વાત કરતા તથા અંદરોઅંદર સવાલ પૂછતાં હતા, ત્યારે ઈસુ પોતે તેઓની પાસે આવીને તેઓની સાથે ચાલ્યા.
16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.
૧૬પણ તેઓની આંખો બંધાઈ ગયેલી હોવાથી તેઓ તેમને ઓળખી શક્યા નહિ.
17 He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?”
૧૭ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “તમે ચાલતાં ચાલતાં એકબીજાની સાથે શી વાત કરો છો?” તેઓ ઉદાસ થઈને ઊભા રહ્યા.
18 One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”
૧૮ક્લિયોપાસ નામે એકે ઉત્તર આપતાં કહ્યું કે, “શું, યરુશાલેમમાં રહેનારાઓમાંના એકલા તમે જ આ દિવસોમાં બનેલી બિનાઓ નથી જાણતા?”
19 He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;
૧૯તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “કઈ બિનાઓ?” તેઓએ તેને કહ્યું કે, “ઈસુ નાઝારી, જે ઈશ્વરની આગળ તથા સઘળા લોકોની આગળ કામમાં તથા વચનમાં પરાક્રમી પ્રબોધક હતા, તે સંબંધીની બિનાઓ;
20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
૨૦વળી કેવી રીતે મુખ્ય યાજકોએ તથા અમારા અધિકારીઓએ તેમને મૃત્યુદંડ ભોગવવા સારુ પરાધીન કર્યા, અને તેમને વધસ્તંભે જડાવ્યાં.
21 But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.
૨૧પણ અમે આશા રાખતા હતા કે, ઇઝરાયલને જે ઉદ્ધાર આપવાના હતા તે એ છે; વળી એ સર્વ ઉપરાંત આ બનાવ બન્યાને આજ ત્રીજો દિવસ થયો.
22 Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;
૨૨વળી અમારામાંની કેટલીક સ્ત્રીઓ જેઓ કબર આગળ વહેલી ગઈ હતી, તેઓએ અમને આશ્ચર્ય પમાડ્યું,
23 and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
૨૩એટલે તેઓએ તેમનો મૃતદેહ જોયો નહિ, ત્યારે તેઓએ આવીને કહ્યું કે, અમને સ્વર્ગદૂતોનું દર્શન પણ થયું હતું, કે જેઓએ કહ્યું કે તે જીવિત છે.
24 Some of us went to the tomb and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”
૨૪અમારી સાથેના કેટલાક કબર આગળ ગયા, અને જેમ સ્ત્રીઓએ કહ્યું હતું તેમ જ તેઓને જોવા મળ્યું; પણ તેમને તેઓએ જોયા નહિ.”
25 He said to them, “Foolish people, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
૨૫તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “ઓ મૂર્ખાઓ તમે પ્રબોધકોએ જે કહ્યું છે, તે સર્વ પર વિશ્વાસ કરવામાં ધીમા છો.
26 Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”
૨૬શું ખ્રિસ્તે એ બધું સહેવું અને પોતાના મહિમામાં પેસવું જોઈતું નહોતું?”
27 Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
૨૭મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્રથી તથા સઘળા પ્રબોધકોથી માંડીને તેમણે બધા પવિત્રશાસ્ત્રમાંથી પોતાના સંબંધીની વાતોનો ખુલાસો કરી બતાવ્યો.
28 They came near to the village where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.
૨૮જે ગામે તેઓ જતા હતા તેની નજીક તેઓ પહોંચ્યા, ત્યારે તેમણે જાણે કે આગળ જવાનું કર્યું.
29 They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.
૨૯તેઓએ તેમને આગ્રહ કરીને કહ્યું કે, “અમારી સાથે રહો; કેમ કે સાંજ થવા આવી છે અને દિવસ નમી ગયો છે.” અને તેઓની સાથે રહેવા સારુ તે અંદર ગયા.
30 When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave it to them.
૩૦એમ થયું કે, તે તેઓની સાથે જમવા બેઠા, ત્યારે તેમણે રોટલી લઈને આશીર્વાદ કર્યો, અને તેઓને આપી.
31 Their eyes were opened and they recognized him; then he vanished out of their sight.
૩૧ત્યારે તેઓની આંખો ઊઘડી અને તેઓએ તેમને ઓળખ્યા; એટલામાં તેઓની દ્રષ્ટિમાંથી તે અદ્રશ્ય થઈ ગયા.
32 They said to one another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”
૩૨તેઓએ એકબીજાને કહ્યું કે, “જયારે તેઓ માર્ગમાં આપણી સાથે વાત કરતા હતા, અને પવિત્રશાસ્ત્રનો ખુલાસો આપણને કરી બતાવતા હતા, ત્યારે આપણા મન આપણામાં જ્વલંત નહોતાં થતાં શું?”
33 They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,
૩૩તે જ ઘડીએ તેઓ ઊઠીને યરુશાલેમ તરફ પાછા વળ્યા, અને અગિયાર શિષ્યો ને તથા તેઓની સાથેનાઓને એકઠા થએલાં જોયા,
34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”
૩૪કે, જેઓ કહેતાં હતા કે, ‘પ્રભુ ખરેખર ઊઠ્યાં છે, અને સિમોનને તેમનું દર્શન થયું છે.’”
35 They related the things that happened along the way, and how he was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.
૩૫ત્યારે તેઓએ માર્ગમાં બનેલા બનાવ તથા રોટલી ભાંગતાં તેઓએ ઈસુને કેવી રીતે ઓળખ્યા તે વિષે પણ વાત કરી.
36 As they said these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
૩૬તેઓ એ વાતો કહેતાં હતા, ત્યારે ઈસુ પોતે તેઓની વચમાં ઊભા રહીને તેઓને કહે છે કે, ‘તમને શાંતિ થાઓ.’”
37 But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
૩૭પણ તેઓએ ગભરાઈને તથા ભયભીત થઈને એમ ધાર્યું કે, અમારા જોવામાં કોઈ આત્મા આવે છે.
38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?
૩૮તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘તમે કેમ ગભરાઓ છો, અને તમારાં મનમાં શંકા કેમ થાય છે?
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”
૩૯મારા હાથ તથા મારા પગ જુઓ, કે એ હું પોતે છું; મને હાથ અડકાડીને જુઓ; કેમ કે જેમ તમે જુઓ છે કે મને માંસ તથા હાડકાં છે તેમ આત્માને હોતા નથી.’”
40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
૪૦એમ કહીને તેમણે પોતાના હાથ તથા પગ તેઓને બતાવ્યાં.
41 While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
૪૧તેઓ હર્ષને લીધે હજી વિશ્વાસ કરતા નહોતા, અને દંગ થઈ ગયા હતા, ત્યારે ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘તમારી પાસે કંઈ ખાવાનું છે?’”
42 They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.
૪૨તેઓએ ઈસુને શેકેલી માછલીનો ટુકડો આપ્યો,
43 He took them, and ate in front of them.
૪૩ઈસુએ તે લઈને તેઓની આગળ ખાધો.
44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms concerning me must be fulfilled.”
૪૪ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘હું તમારી સાથે હતો, ત્યારે મેં એ વાતો તમને કહી હતી કે, જે મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાં તથા પ્રબોધકોના પુસ્તકોમાં તથા ગીતશાસ્ત્રમાં મારા સંબંધી લખ્યું છે તે બધું પૂરું થવું જોઈએ.’”
45 Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.
૪૫ત્યારે પવિત્રશાસ્ત્ર સમજવા સારુ ઈસુએ તેઓનાં મન ખોલ્યાં.
46 He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
૪૬ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, ‘એમ લખ્યું છે, કે ખ્રિસ્તે દુઃખ સહન કરવું, અને ત્રીજે દિવસે મૂએલાંઓમાંથી પાછા ઊઠવું જોઈએ;
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
૪૭યરુશાલેમથી માંડીને સઘળી પ્રજાઓને તેમના નામમાં પસ્તાવો તથા પાપોની માફી પ્રગટ કરાવાં જોઈએ.
48 You are witnesses of these things.
૪૮એ વાતના સાક્ષીઓ તમે છો.
49 Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
૪૯હું મારા પિતાનું આશાવચન તમારા પર મોકલું છું; પણ તમે ઉપરથી પરાક્રમે વેષ્ટિત થાઓ ત્યાં સુધી શહેરમાં રહેજો.’”
50 He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
૫૦બેથાનિયાની સામે તેઓને બહાર લઈ ગયા પછી તેમણે પોતાના હાથ પ્રસારીને તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો.
51 While he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
૫૧એમ થયું કે ઈસુ તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપતા હતા એટલામાં તે તેઓથી છૂટા પડ્યા, અને સ્વર્ગમાં લઈ લેવાયા.
52 They worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
૫૨તેમનું ભજન કરીને તેઓ બહુ આનંદ કરતા યરુશાલેમમાં પાછા વળ્યા.
53 and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
૫૩અને તેઓ નિત્ય ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરતા હતા.
