Luke 17
1 He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
ειπεν δε προς τους μαθητας αυτου ανενδεκτον εστιν του τα σκανδαλα μη ελθειν πλην ουαι δι ου ερχεται
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
λυσιτελει αυτω ει λιθος μυλικος περικειται περι τον τραχηλον αυτου και ερριπται εις την θαλασσαν η ινα σκανδαλιση των μικρων τουτων ενα
3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
προσεχετε εαυτοις εαν αμαρτη ο αδελφος σου επιτιμησον αυτω και εαν μετανοηση αφες αυτω
4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
και εαν επτακις της ημερας αμαρτηση εις σε και επτακις επιστρεψη προς σε λεγων μετανοω αφησεις αυτω
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
και ειπαν οι αποστολοι τω κυριω προσθες ημιν πιστιν
6 The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
ειπεν δε ο κυριος ει εχετε πιστιν ως κοκκον σιναπεως ελεγετε αν τη συκαμινω [ταυτη] εκριζωθητι και φυτευθητι εν τη θαλασση και υπηκουσεν αν υμιν
7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table’?
τις δε εξ υμων δουλον εχων αροτριωντα η ποιμαινοντα ος εισελθοντι εκ του αγρου ερει αυτω ευθεως παρελθων αναπεσε
8 Wouldn’t he rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?
αλλ ουχι ερει αυτω ετοιμασον τι δειπνησω και περιζωσαμενος διακονει μοι εως φαγω και πιω και μετα ταυτα φαγεσαι και πιεσαι συ
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
μη εχει χαριν τω δουλω οτι εποιησεν τα διαταχθεντα
10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”
ουτως και υμεις οταν ποιησητε παντα τα διαταχθεντα υμιν λεγετε οτι δουλοι αχρειοι εσμεν ο ωφειλομεν ποιησαι πεποιηκαμεν
11 As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
και εγενετο εν τω πορευεσθαι εις ιερουσαλημ και αυτος διηρχετο δια μεσον σαμαρειας και γαλιλαιας
12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.
και εισερχομενου αυτου εις τινα κωμην απηντησαν {VAR2: [αυτω] } δεκα λεπροι ανδρες οι {VAR1: ανεστησαν } {VAR2: εστησαν } πορρωθεν
13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
και αυτοι ηραν φωνην λεγοντες ιησου επιστατα ελεησον ημας
14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
και ιδων ειπεν αυτοις πορευθεντες επιδειξατε εαυτους τοις ιερευσιν και εγενετο εν τω υπαγειν αυτους εκαθαρισθησαν
15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
εις δε εξ αυτων ιδων οτι ιαθη υπεστρεψεν μετα φωνης μεγαλης δοξαζων τον θεον
16 He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
και επεσεν επι προσωπον παρα τους ποδας αυτου ευχαριστων αυτω και αυτος ην σαμαριτης
17 Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
αποκριθεις δε ο ιησους ειπεν {VAR1: ουχ } {VAR2: ουχι } οι δεκα εκαθαρισθησαν οι {VAR1: [δε] } {VAR2: δε } εννεα που
18 Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”
ουχ ευρεθησαν υποστρεψαντες δουναι δοξαν τω θεω ει μη ο αλλογενης ουτος
19 Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”
και ειπεν αυτω αναστας πορευου η πιστις σου σεσωκεν σε
20 Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;
επερωτηθεις δε υπο των φαρισαιων ποτε ερχεται η βασιλεια του θεου απεκριθη αυτοις και ειπεν ουκ ερχεται η βασιλεια του θεου μετα παρατηρησεως
21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
ουδε ερουσιν ιδου ωδε η εκει ιδου γαρ η βασιλεια του θεου εντος υμων εστιν
22 He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
ειπεν δε προς τους μαθητας ελευσονται ημεραι οτε επιθυμησετε μιαν των ημερων του υιου του ανθρωπου ιδειν και ουκ οψεσθε
23 They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,
και ερουσιν υμιν ιδου εκει {VAR1: η } {VAR2: [η] } ιδου ωδε μη {VAR1: [απελθητε μηδε] } {VAR2: απελθητε μηδε } διωξητε
24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
ωσπερ γαρ η αστραπη αστραπτουσα εκ της υπο τον ουρανον εις την υπ ουρανον λαμπει ουτως εσται ο υιος του ανθρωπου {VAR2: [εν τη ημερα αυτου] }
25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
πρωτον δε δει αυτον πολλα παθειν και αποδοκιμασθηναι απο της γενεας ταυτης
26 As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man.
και καθως εγενετο εν ταις ημεραις νωε ουτως εσται και εν ταις ημεραις του υιου του ανθρωπου
27 They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
ησθιον επινον εγαμουν εγαμιζοντο αχρι ης ημερας εισηλθεν νωε εις την κιβωτον και ηλθεν ο κατακλυσμος και απωλεσεν παντας
28 Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
ομοιως καθως εγενετο εν ταις ημεραις λωτ ησθιον επινον ηγοραζον επωλουν εφυτευον ωκοδομουν
29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky and destroyed them all.
η δε ημερα εξηλθεν λωτ απο σοδομων εβρεξεν πυρ και θειον απ ουρανου και απωλεσεν παντας
30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
κατα τα αυτα εσται η ημερα ο υιος του ανθρωπου αποκαλυπτεται
31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
εν εκεινη τη ημερα ος εσται επι του δωματος και τα σκευη αυτου εν τη οικια μη καταβατω αραι αυτα και ο εν αγρω ομοιως μη επιστρεψατω εις τα οπισω
32 Remember Lot’s wife!
μνημονευετε της γυναικος λωτ
33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
ος εαν ζητηση την ψυχην αυτου περιποιησασθαι απολεσει αυτην ος δ αν {VAR1: απολεσει } {VAR2: απολεση } ζωογονησει αυτην
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. One will be taken and the other will be left.
λεγω υμιν ταυτη τη νυκτι εσονται δυο επι κλινης {VAR1: [μιας] } {VAR2: μιας } ο εις παραλημφθησεται και ο ετερος αφεθησεται
35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other will be left.”
εσονται δυο αληθουσαι επι το αυτο η μια παραλημφθησεται η δε ετερα αφεθησεται
37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will also be gathered together.”
και αποκριθεντες λεγουσιν αυτω που κυριε ο δε ειπεν αυτοις οπου το σωμα εκει και οι αετοι επισυναχθησονται
