John 3
1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
൧നിക്കോദെമോസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു പരീശനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു, അവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ന്യായാധിപസംഘത്തിലെ അംഗമായിരുന്നു.
2 He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”
൨അവൻ രാത്രിയിൽ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോട്: റബ്ബീ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്‌വാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”
൩യേശു അവനോട്: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു; ഒരുവൻ പുതുതായി ജനിച്ചില്ല എങ്കിൽ അവന് ദൈവരാജ്യം കാണ്മാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ലഎന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
൪നിക്കോദെമോസ് അവനോട്: ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ വൃദ്ധനായശേഷം ജനിക്കുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ? അവന് രണ്ടാമതും അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽ കടന്നു ജനിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5 Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.
൫അതിന് യേശു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു: ഒരുവൻ വെള്ളത്താലും ആത്മാവിനാലും ജനിച്ചില്ല എങ്കിൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
൬ജഡത്താൽ ജനിച്ചത് ജഡം ആകുന്നു; ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജനിച്ചത് ആത്മാവ് ആകുന്നു.
7 Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’
൭നിങ്ങൾ പുതുതായി ജനിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടരുത്.
8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
൮കാറ്റ് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്ത് ഊതുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം നീ കേൾക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അത് എവിടെനിന്ന് വരുന്നു എന്നും എവിടേക്ക് പോകുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല; ആത്മാവിനാൽ ജനിച്ചവൻ എല്ലാം അതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.
9 Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”
൯നിക്കോദെമോസ് അവനോട്: ഇതു എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?
൧൦യേശു അവനോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: നീ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവായിരുന്നിട്ടും ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളൊന്നും മനസ്സിലാകുന്നില്ലയോ?
11 Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.
൧൧ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നത് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുകയും കണ്ടത് സാക്ഷീകരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും ഞങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങൾ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നില്ല.
12 If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
൧൨ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞാൽ എങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കും?
13 No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.
൧൩സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നവനായി സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനായ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ അല്ലാതെ ആരും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കയറിയിട്ടില്ല.
14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
൧൪മോശെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സർപ്പത്തെ ഉയർത്തിയതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെയും ഉയർത്തേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
൧൫അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന് തന്നേ. (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
൧൬തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ദൈവം അവനെ നല്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു. (aiōnios g166)
17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
൧൭ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനെ ലോകത്തിൽ അയച്ചത് ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല ലോകം അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം രക്ഷിയ്ക്കപ്പെടുവാനത്രേ.
18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
൧൮അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് ന്യായവിധി ഇല്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കയാൽ ന്യായവിധി വന്നുകഴിഞ്ഞു.
19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
൧൯ന്യായവിധിയ്ക്ക് കാരണമോ, വെളിച്ചം ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടും മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദോഷമുള്ളത് ആകയാൽ അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തേക്കാൾ ഇരുളിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചത് തന്നെയാകുന്നു.
20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
൨൦തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വെളിച്ചത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെളിപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് വരുന്നതുമില്ല.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
൨൧സത്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവനോ, തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള അനുസരണത്തിൽ ചെയ്തിരിക്കയാൽ അത് വെളിപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന് വെളിച്ചത്തിങ്കലേക്ക് വരുന്നു.
22 After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.
൨൨അതിന്‍റെശേഷം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്ത് വന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ താമസിക്കുകയും സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
23 John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;
൨൩യോഹന്നാനും ശലേമിന് അരികത്ത് ഐനോനിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവിടെ വളരെ വെള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ആളുകൾ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു.
24 for John was not yet thrown into prison.
൨൪അന്ന് യോഹന്നാനെ തടവിൽ ആക്കിയിരുന്നില്ല.
25 Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.
൨൫യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ചിലർക്കു ഒരു യെഹൂദനുമായി ശുദ്ധീകരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് തർക്കമുണ്ടായി;
26 They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”
൨൬അവർ യോഹന്നാന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന് അവനോട്: റബ്ബീ, യോർദ്ദാനക്കരെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നവൻ, നീ സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചുട്ടുള്ളവൻ തന്നേ, ഇതാ, സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27 John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
൨൭അതിന് യോഹന്നാൻ: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കൊടുത്തിട്ടല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യന് ഒന്നും ലഭിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
28 You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
൨൮ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തു അല്ല, അവന് മുമ്പായി അയയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ടവനത്രേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന് നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ എനിക്ക് സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.
൨൯മണവാട്ടി ഉള്ളവൻ മണവാളൻ ആകുന്നു; മണവാളന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോ നിന്നു മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരം കേട്ടിട്ട് അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഈ എന്റെ സന്തോഷം പൂർത്തിയായിരിക്കുന്നു.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
൩൦അവൻ വളരണം, ഞാനോ കുറയേണം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
31 “He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.
൩൧ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്ന് വരുന്നവൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനാകുന്നു. ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവൻ ഭൗമികൻ ആകുന്നു; ഭൗമികമായതു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് വരുന്നവൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനായി താൻ കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു;
32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
൩൨എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം ആരും സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നില്ല.
33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
൩൩അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവൻ ദൈവം സത്യവാൻ എന്നുള്ളതിന് മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.
34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.
൩൪ദൈവം അയച്ചവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ആത്മാവിനെ അളവുകൂടാതെയല്ലോ കൊടുക്കുന്നത്.
35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
൩൫പിതാവ് പുത്രനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; സകലവും അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
