< John 20 >

1 Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
Mmamawa tsiku loyamba la sabata, kukanali kamdimabe, Mariya wa ku Magadala anapita ku manda ndipo anaona kuti mwala unali utachotsedwa pa khomo la manda.
2 Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have laid him!”
Choncho anabwerera akuthamanga kwa Simoni Petro ndi wophunzira winayo, amene Yesu anamukonda, ndipo anati, “Iwo amuchotsa Ambuye mʼmanda, ndipo ife sitikudziwa kumene iwo amuyika Iye!”
3 Therefore Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.
Choncho Petro ndi wophunzira winayo ananyamuka kupita ku manda.
4 They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.
Onse awiri anathamanga pamodzi koma wophunzira winayo anamupitirira Petro, nafika ku manda moyambirira.
5 Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he didn’t enter in.
Ndipo mmene anawerama nasuzumira mʼkati mwa manda anaona nsalu zili potero koma sanalowemo.
6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying,
Kenaka Simoni Petro, amene anali pambuyo pake, anafika ndi kulowa mʼmanda. Iye anaona nsaluzo zili pamenepo,
7 and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.
pamodzinso ndi nsalu imene anakulungira nayo mutu wa Yesu. Nsaluyi inali yopindidwa pa yokha yosiyanitsidwa ndi inayo.
8 So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.
Pomaliza wophunzira winayo, amene anafika ku manda moyambirira, analowanso mʼkati, iye anaona ndi kukhulupirira.
9 For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
(Iwo sanazindikire kuchokera mʼmalemba kuti Yesu anayanera kuuka kuchokera kwa akufa).
10 So the disciples went away again to their own homes.
Kenaka ophunzira anabwerera ku nyumba zawo,
11 But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb,
koma Mariya anayima kunja kwa manda akulira. Pamene akulira, anawerama ndi kusuzumira mʼmanda
12 and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
ndipo anaona angelo awiri atavala zoyera, atakhala pamene panali mtembo wa Yesu, mmodzi kumutu ndi wina kumapazi.
13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have laid him.”
Iwo anamufunsa iye kuti, “Amayi, nʼchifukwa chiyani mukulira?” Iye anati, “Amuchotsa Mbuye wanga, ndipo ine sindikudziwa kumene iwo amuyika.”
14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and didn’t know that it was Jesus.
Atanena izi, iye anatembenuka ndipo anaona Yesu atayima potero koma iye sanazindikire kuti anali Yesu.
15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”
Iye anati, “Amayi, mukulira chifukwa chiyani? Ndani amene mukumufunafuna?” Poganiza kuti anali mwini munda, iye anati, “Bwana, ngati inu mwamuchotsa, ndiwuzeni kumene mwamuyika, ndipo ine ndikamutenga.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him, “Rabboni!” which is to say, “Teacher!”
Yesu anati kwa iye, “Mariya.” Anatembenukira kwa Iye nafuwula mu Chiaramaiki kuti, “Raboni!” (kutanthauza Mphunzitsi).
17 Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
Yesu anati, “Usandigwire Ine, pakuti sindinapite kwa Atate. Mʼmalo mwake pita kwa abale anga ndikukawawuza kuti, ndikupita kwa Atate ndi kwa Atate anunso, kwa Mulungu wanga ndi Mulungu wanunso.”
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
Mariya wa ku Magadala anapita kwa ophunzira ndi uthenga wakuti, “Ndamuona Ambuye!” Iye anawawuza iwo kuti Yesu ananena zinthu izi kwa iye.
19 When therefore it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
Madzulo a tsiku limenelo limene linali loyamba la Sabata ophunzira ake ali pamodzi, atatseka ndi kukhoma zitseko chifukwa choopa Ayuda, Yesu anabwera ndi kuyima pakati pawo nati, “Mtendere ukhale nanu!”
20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.
Iye atatha kunena izi, anawaonetsa manja ake ndi mʼnthiti mwake. Ophunzira anasangalala kwambiri pamene anaona Ambuye.
21 Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
Yesu anatinso, “Mtendere ukhale nanu! Monga Atate anandituma Ine, Inenso ndikukutumani.”
22 When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!
Ndi mawu amenewo Iye anawapumira ndipo anati, “Landirani Mzimu Woyera.
23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone’s sins, they have been retained.”
Ngati mukhululukira aliyense machimo ake, iwo akhululukidwa; ngati simuwakhululukira, iwo sanakhululukidwe.”
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, wasn’t with them when Jesus came.
Koma Tomasi (otchedwa Didimo), mmodzi wa khumi ndi awiriwo, sanali ndi ophunzira pamene Yesu anabwera.
25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
Ophunzira enawo atamuwuza Tomasi kuti iwo anaona Ambuye, iye ananenetsa kuti, “Pokhapokha nditaona zizindikiro za misomali mʼmanja ake ndi kuyikamo chala changa mʼmene munali misomali ndi kukhudza dzanja langa mʼnthiti mwake, ine sindidzakhulupirira.”
26 After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the middle, and said, “Peace be to you.”
Patapita sabata, ophunzira ake analinso mʼnyumbamo ndipo Tomasi anali nawo. Ngakhale makomo anali otsekedwa, Yesu anabwera nayima pakati pawo, ndipo anati, “Mtendere ukhale nanu!”
27 Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing.”
Kenaka anati kwa Tomasi, “Ika chala chako apa; ona manja anga. Tambasula dzanja lako ndi kukhudza mʼnthiti mwanga. Leka kukayika, khulupirira.”
28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
Tomasi anati kwa Iye, “Ambuye wanga ndi Mulungu wanga!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
Kenaka Yesu anamuwuza kuti, “Kodi wakhulupirira chifukwa wandiona Ine? Ndi odala amene amakhulupirira ngakhale asanaone.”
30 Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;
Yesu anachita zodabwitsa zambiri pamaso pa ophunzira ake zimene sizinalembedwe mʼbuku lino.
31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
Koma izi zalembedwa kuti mukhulupirire kuti Yesu ndi Khristu, Mwana wa Mulungu, ndi kuti mukakhulupirira mukhale nawo moyo mʼdzina lake.
