< John 14 >

1 “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
Eztadila trubla çuen bihotza: sinhesten duçue Iaincoa baithan, ni baithan-ere sinhets eçaçue.
2 In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
Ene Aitaren etchean egoitzác anhitz dirade: baldin bercela baliz erran nerauqueçuen, Banoa çuey leku appaincera.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
Eta ioan naiçatenean, eta leku çuey appaindu drauqueçuedanean, berriz ethorriren naiz, eta harturen çaituztet neuregana: non bainaiz ni, çuec-ere çaretençát.
4 You know where I go, and you know the way.”
Eta norat ni ioaiten naicen badaquiçue, eta bidea badaquiçue.
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Diotsa Thomasec, Iauna, etzeaquiagu norat ioaiten aicen: eta nolatan bidea ahal daquiquegu?
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Diotsa Iesusec, Ni naiz bidea eta eguia eta vicitzea: nehor ezta ethorten Aitagana niçaz baicen.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
Baldin eçagutzen baninduçue ni, ene Aita-ere eçagut cineçaquete: eta oraindanic eçagutzen duçue hura, eta ikussi duçue hura.
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
Diotsa Philippec, Iauna, eracuts ieçaguc Aita, eta asco ciaicuc,
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Diotsa Iesusec, Hambat demboraz çuequin nauc, eta eznauc eçagutu ni? Philippé, ikussi nauenac ni, ikussi dic Aita: eta nola hic erraiten duc, Eracuts ieçaguc Aita?
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
Eztuc sinhesten ecen ni Aita baithan, eta Aita ni baithan dela? Nic çuey erraiten drauzquiçuedan hitzac, neurorganic eztitut erraiten: baina nitan dagoen Aitac eguiten ditu obrác.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Sinhets neçaçue ecen ni Aita baithan, eta Aita ni baithan dela: ezpere obra beracgatic sinhets neçaçue.
12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
Eguiaz eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, norc ni baithan sinhesten baitu, nic eguiten ditudan obrác, harc-ere eguinen ditu, eta hauc baino handiagoac eguinen ditu: ecen ni Aitaganat ioaiten naiz.
13 Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Eta cer-ere escaturen baitzarete ene icenean, hura dut eguinen: glorifica dadinçat Aita Semean.
14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Baldin cerbait esca baçaitezte ene icenean, nic dut eguinen.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
Baldin niri on badariztaçue, ene manamenduac beguiraitzaçue.
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: (aiōn g165)
Eta nic othoitz eguinen draucat Aitari, eta berce Consolaçalebat emanen drauçue, dagoençat çuequin eternalqui: (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Eguiazco Spiritu munduac ecin recebi deçaquena diot: ceren ezpaitu ikusten hura, ez eçagutzen: baina çuec badaçaguçue hura, ceren çuec baithan egoiten baita, eta çuetan içanen da.
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
Etzaituztet vtziren çurtz: itzuliren naiz çuetara.
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
Oraino gutibat, eta munduac eznau guehiagoric ikussiren, baina çuec ikussiren nauçue: ceren ni vici bainaiz, çuec-ere vicico çarete.
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
Egun hartan çuec duçue eçaguturen ecen ni naicela neure Aita baithan, eta çuec ni baithan eta ni çuec baithan.
21 One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
Ene manamenduey datchetena, eta hec beguiratzen dituena, da niri on dariztana: eta niri on dariztana, ene Aitaz onhetsia içanen da: eta nic hari on eritziren draucat, eta manifestaturen draucat hari neure buruä.
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
Diotsa Iudasec, ez Iscariotec, Iauna, nondic da ceren guri eure buruä manifestaturen baitraucuc, eta ez munduari?
23 Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Ihardets ceçan Iesusec, eta erran cieçón, Baldin norbeitec on badarizt niri, ene hitza beguiraturen du: eta ene Aitac onhetsiren du hura, eta harengana ethorriren gara, eta hura baithan egoitza eguinen dugu.
24 He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
Niri on eztariztanac, ene hitzac eztitu beguiratzen: eta ençuten duçuen hitza, ezta enea, baina ni igorri nauen Aitarena.
25 “I have said these things to you while still living with you.
Gauça hauc erran drauzquiçuet, çuequin nagoela.
26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
Baina Consolaçaleac, Spiritu sainduac, cein igorriren baitu Aitac ene icenean, harc iracatsiren drauzquiçue gauça guciac, eta orhoit eraciren drauzquiçue erran drauzquiçuedan gauça guciac
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
Baquea vtziten drauçuet, neure baquea emaiten drauçuet: eztrauçuet munduac emaiten duen beçala, nic emaiten çuey. Eztadila trubla çuen bihotza, eta eztadila icit.
28 You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
Ençun duçue ecen erran drauçuedala, Banoa, eta itzuliren naiz çuetara. Baldin on bacindarizté, segur aleguera cintezquete ceren erran baitut, banoa Aitaganát: ecen Aita ni baino handiago da.
29 Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
Eta orain erran drauçuet eguin dadin baino lehen, eguin datenean sinhets deçaçuençát.
30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
Eznaiz guehiagoric çuequin anhitz minçaturen: ecen ethorri da mundu hunetaco princea, eta nitan eztu deus.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
Baina haur eguiten da, eçagut deçançát munduac: ecen on daritzadala Aitari: eta nola manatu bainau Aitac, hala eguiten dut. Iaiqui çaitezte, goacen hemandic.
