John 10
1 “Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber.
“En verdad, en verdad, os digo, quien no entra por la puerta en el aprisco de las ovejas, sino que sube por otra parte, ese es un ladrón y un salteador.
2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Mas el que entra por la puerta, es el pastor de las ovejas.
3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
A este le abre el portero, y las ovejas oyen su voz, y él llama por su nombre a las ovejas propias, y las saca fuera.
4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
Cuando ha hecho salir todas las suyas, va delante de ellas, y las ovejas le siguen porque conocen su voz.
5 They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don’t know the voice of strangers.”
Mas al extraño no le seguirán, antes huirán de él, porque no conocen la voz de los extraños”.
6 Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they didn’t understand what he was telling them.
Tal es la parábola, que les dijo Jesús, pero ellos no comprendieron de qué les hablaba.
7 Jesus therefore said to them again, “Most certainly, I tell you, I am the sheep’s door.
Entonces Jesús prosiguió: “En verdad, en verdad, os digo, Yo soy la puerta de las ovejas.
8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them.
Todos cuantos han venido antes que Yo son ladrones y salteadores, mas las ovejas no los escucharon.
9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.
Yo soy la puerta, si alguno entra por Mí, será salvo; podrá ir y venir y hallará pastos.
10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
El ladrón no viene sino para robar, para degollar, para destruir. Yo he venido para que tengan vida y vida sobreabundante.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Yo soy el pastor, el Bueno. El buen pastor pone su vida por las ovejas.
12 He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them.
Mas el mercenario, el que no es el pastor, de quien no son propias las ovejas, viendo venir al lobo, abandona las ovejas y huye, y el lobo las arrebata y las dispersa;
13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand and doesn’t care for the sheep.
porque es mercenario y no tiene interés en las ovejas.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;
Yo soy el pastor bueno, y conozco las mías, y las mías me conocen,
15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
—así como el Padre me conoce y Yo conozco al Padre— y pongo mi vida por mis ovejas.
16 I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
Y tengo otras ovejas que no son de este aprisco. A esas también tengo que traer; ellas oirán mi voz, y habrá un solo rebaño y un solo pastor.
17 Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
Por esto me ama el Padre, porque Yo pongo mi vida para volver a tomarla.
18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father.”
Nadie me la puede quitar, sino que Yo mismo la pongo. Tengo el poder de ponerla, y tengo el poder de recobrarla. Tal es el mandamiento que recibí de mi Padre”.
19 Therefore a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.
Y de nuevo los judíos se dividieron a causa de estas palabras.
20 Many of them said, “He has a demon and is insane! Why do you listen to him?”
Muchos decían: “Es un endemoniado, está loco. ¿Por qué lo escucháis?”
21 Others said, “These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It isn’t possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?”
Otros decían: “Estas palabras no son de un endemoniado. ¿Puede acaso un demonio abrir los ojos de los ciegos?”
22 It was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem.
Llegó entre tanto la fiesta de la Dedicación en Jerusalén. Era invierno,
23 It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.
y Jesús se paseaba en el Templo, bajo el pórtico de Salomón.
24 The Jews therefore came around him and said to him, “How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
Lo rodearon, entonces, y le dijeron: “¿Hasta cuándo tendrás nuestros espíritus en suspenso? Si Tú eres el Mesías, dínoslo claramente”.
25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you don’t believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name, these testify about me.
Jesús les replicó: “Os lo he dicho, y no creéis. Las obras que Yo hago en el nombre de mi Padre, esas son las que dan testimonio de Mí.
26 But you don’t believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you.
Pero vosotros no creéis porque no sois de mis ovejas.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, Yo las conozco y ellas me siguen.
29 My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
Lo que mi Padre me dio es mayor que todo, y nadie lo puede arrebatar de la mano de mi Padre.
30 I and the Father are one.”
Yo y mi Padre somos uno”.
31 Therefore the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
De nuevo los judíos recogieron piedras para lapidarlo.
32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?”
Entonces Jesús les dijo: “Os he hecho ver muchas obras buenas, que son de mi Padre. ¿Por cuál de ellas queréis apedrearme?”
33 The Jews answered him, “We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
Los judíos le respondieron: “No por obra buena te apedreamos, sino porque blasfemas, y siendo hombre, te haces a Ti mismo Dios”.
34 Jesus answered them, “Isn’t it written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
Respondioles Jesús: “¿No está escrito en vuestra Ley: «Yo dije: sois dioses?»
35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture can’t be broken),
Si ha llamado dioses a aquellos a quienes fue dirigida la palabra de Dios —y la Escritura no puede ser anulada—
36 do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
¿cómo de Aquel que el Padre consagró y envió al mundo, vosotros decís: «Blasfemas», porque dije: «Yo soy el Hijo de Dios?»
37 If I don’t do the works of my Father, don’t believe me.
Si no hago las obras de mi Padre, no me creáis;
38 But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”
pero ya que las hago, si no queréis creerme, creed al menos, a esas obras, para que sepáis y conozcáis que el Padre es en Mí, y que Yo soy en el Padre”.
39 They sought again to seize him, and he went out of their hand.
Entonces trataron de nuevo de apoderarse de Él, pero se escapó de entre sus manos.
40 He went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was baptizing at first, and he stayed there.
Y se fue nuevamente al otro lado del Jordán, al lugar donde Juan había bautizado primero, y allí se quedó.
41 Many came to him. They said, “John indeed did no sign, but everything that John said about this man is true.”
Y muchos vinieron a Él, y decían: “Juan no hizo milagros, pero todo lo que dijo de Este, era verdad”.
42 Many believed in him there.
Y muchos allí creyeron en Él.
