Jeremiah 46
1 Yahweh’s word which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
१परमेश्वराचे वचन राष्ट्रांविषयी यिर्मया संदेष्ट्याकडे आले ते असे.
2 Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.
२मिसरासाठीः मिसराचा राजा फारो नखो याचे जे सैन्य फरात नदीजवळ कर्कमीशात होते. योशीयाचा मुलगा यहोयाकीम यहूदाचा राजा याच्या कारकिर्दीच्या चौथ्या वर्षी बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर याने पराभव केला. त्याविषयीः
3 “Prepare the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle!
३लहान ढाली व मोठ्या ढाली तयार करा आणि लढावयास कूच करा
4 Harness the horses, and get up, you horsemen, and stand up with your helmets. Polish the spears, put on the coats of mail.
४तुम्ही स्वारांनो घोडे जुंपून त्यावर बसा, तुमच्या शिरावर शिरस्त्राण घालून तुमची जागा घ्या. भाल्यांना धार करा आणि तुमचे चिलखत घाला.
5 Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and are turned backward. Their mighty ones are beaten down, have fled in haste, and don’t look back. Terror is on every side,” says Yahweh.
५हे मी काय पाहतो? ते भयभीत झाले आहेत आणि दूर पळत आहेत, कारण त्यांच्या सैनिकांचा पराभव झाला आहे. ते संरक्षणासाठी पळत आहेत आणि मागे वळून पाहत नाहीत. असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.
6 “Don’t let the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape. In the north by the river Euphrates they have stumbled and fallen.
६चपळ दूर पळून जाऊ शकणार नाहीत आणि सैनिक निसटू शकणार नाहीत. ते अडखळतील आणि फरात नदीच्या उत्तरेस पडतील.
7 “Who is this who rises up like the Nile, like rivers whose waters surge?
७नील नदीप्रमाणे हा कोण चढून येत आहे ज्याचे पाणी नदीप्रमाणे वर व खाली उसळत आहे
8 Egypt rises up like the Nile, like rivers whose waters surge. He says, ‘I will rise up. I will cover the earth. I will destroy cities and its inhabitants.’
८उसळणाऱ्या नील नदीप्रमाणे मिसर येत आहे आणि त्याचे पाणी नदीप्रमाणे वर व खाली उसळत आहे. तो म्हणतो, मी वर जाईन; मी पृथ्वी व्यापून टाकीन. मी नगरे व त्यामध्ये राहणाऱ्यांचा नाश करीन.
9 Go up, you horses! Rage, you chariots! Let the mighty men go out: Cush and Put, who handle the shield; and the Ludim, who handle and bend the bow.
९घोड्यांनो, वर जा. रथांनो, तुम्ही, क्रोधीत व्हा. सैनिकांना बाहेर जाऊ द्या, जे पारंगत ढालकरी माणसे कूश व पूट आणि त्यांचे धनुष्य वाकविणारे पारंगत लूदीम माणसे त्यांच्याबरोबर जा.
10 For that day is of the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge himself of his adversaries. The sword will devour and be satiated, and will drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
१०कारण तो दिवस प्रभू सेनाधीश परमेश्वर याने आपल्या शत्रूंचा सूड घ्यावा म्हणून तो दिवस त्यास सूड घेण्याचा दिवस होईल. तेव्हा तलवार खाऊन तृप्त होईल. ती त्यांचे भरपूर रक्त पिईल. कारण प्रभू, सेनाधीश परमेश्वरास फरात नदीच्या काठी उत्तरेच्या देशात यज्ञ करायचा आहे.
11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, virgin daughter of Egypt. You use many medicines in vain. There is no healing for you.
११“हे मिसराच्या कुमारी कन्ये, गिलादाला वर जा आणि औषध मिळव. तू व्यर्थ खूप औषधे स्वतःला लावतेस. तुझ्यासाठी काही इलाज नाही.
12 The nations have heard of your shame, and the earth is full of your cry; for the mighty man has stumbled against the mighty, they both fall together.”
१२राष्ट्रांनी तुझी बदनामी ऐकली आहे. पृथ्वी तुझ्या विलापाने भरली आहे, कारण सैनिक सैनिकाविरूद्ध अडखळत आहेत. ते दोघेही एकत्र पडतील.”
13 The word that Yahweh spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon should come and strike the land of Egypt:
१३जेव्हा बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर आला आणि मिसर देशावर हल्ला केला, याविषयी परमेश्वराचे वचन यिर्मया संदेष्ट्याला म्हणाले ते असे की,
14 “Declare in Egypt, publish in Migdol, and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes; say, ‘Stand up, and prepare, for the sword has devoured around you.’
१४मिसरास कळवा आणि मिग्दोलात व नोफात ऐकू द्या. तहपन्हेस ते म्हणाले तू उभा राहा व सज्ज हो, कारण तुमच्या भोवती तलवारीने सर्व काही खाऊन टाकले आहे.
15 Why are your strong ones swept away? They didn’t stand, because Yahweh pushed them.
१५तुझा देव अपीस का दूर पळून गेला आहे? तुझा बैल-देव का उभा राहत नाही? परमेश्वराने त्यास खाली फेकून दिले आहे.
16 He made many to stumble. Yes, they fell on one another. They said, ‘Arise! Let’s go again to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from the oppressing sword.’
१६जे कोणी अडखळतील त्यांची संख्या वाढवली आहे. प्रत्येक सैनिक एकावर एक पडले. ते म्हणत आहेत, उठा, आपण या पीडणाऱ्या तलवारीपासून जी आपणाला मारून खाली पाडत आहे, तिच्यापासून पळून आपल्या स्वतःच्या लोकांकडे, आपल्या मातृभूमीला परत जाऊ.
17 They cried there, ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he has let the appointed time pass by.’

18 “As I live,” says the King, whose name is Yahweh of Armies, “surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so he will come.
१८ज्याचे नाव सेनाधीश परमेश्वर आहे, तो राजेश्वर म्हणतो, मी जिवंत आहे. जसा डोंगरामध्ये ताबोर व जसा समुद्राजवळील कर्मेल पर्वताप्रमाणे तसा कोणीएक येईल.
19 You daughter who dwells in Egypt, furnish yourself to go into captivity; for Memphis will become a desolation, and will be burned up, without inhabitant.
१९अगे कन्ये, जी तू मिसरात राहते, ती तू बंदिवासात जाण्यासाठी आपल्या प्रवासाचे सामान तयार कर. कारण नोफचा नाश होऊन व ते भयकारक होईल याकरिता तेथे कोणी राहणार नाही.
20 “Egypt is a very beautiful heifer; but destruction out of the north has come. It has come.
२०मिसर खूप सुंदर कालवड आहे, पण उत्तरेकडून नांगी असणारा किटक येत आहे. तो येत आहे.
21 Also her hired men in the middle of her are like calves of the stall, for they also are turned back. They have fled away together. They didn’t stand, for the day of their calamity has come on them, the time of their visitation.
२१तिचे भाडोत्री सैनिक तिच्यामध्ये गोठ्यातल्या वासराप्रमाणे आहेत, पण ते सुद्धा पाठ फिरवून व दूर पळून जातील. ते एकत्रित उभे राहत नाहीत, कारण त्यांच्या विपत्तीचा दिवस, त्यांच्या शिक्षेचा समय त्यांच्या विरोधात आला आहे.
22 Its sound will go like the serpent, for they will march with an army, and come against her with axes, as wood cutters.
२२मिसर फूत्कारणाऱ्या व दूर सरपटणाऱ्या सापासारखा आहे, कारण तिचे शत्रू तिच्याविरोधात सैन्यासह कूच करत आहेत. ते लाकूड तोड्याप्रमाणे कुऱ्हाडीसह तिच्याकडे जात आहेत.
23 They will cut down her forest,” says Yahweh, “though it can’t be searched; because they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.
२३परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, ते तिचे वन तोडत आहेत, जरी ते खूप घनदाट आहे. कारण शत्रू टोळांपेक्षा असंख्य आहेत, मोजण्यास असमर्थ आहेत.
24 The daughter of Egypt will be disappointed; she will be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.”
२४मिसराच्या कन्येला लज्जीत करण्यात येईल. तिला उत्तरेच्या लोकांच्या हाती दिले जाईल.
25 Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods and her kings, even Pharaoh, and those who trust in him.
२५सेनाधीश परमेश्वर, इस्राएलाचा देव, म्हणतो, “पाहा, मी नो येथल्या आमोनाला व फारोला, मिसराला आणि त्याच्या देवांना व त्याच्या राजांना म्हणजे फारोला आणि जे त्याच्यावर भरवसा ठेवतात त्यांना शिक्षा करीन.
26 I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants. Afterwards it will be inhabited, as in the days of old,” says Yahweh.
२६मी त्यांना त्यांचे जीव घेऊ पाहणारे, बाबेलाचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सर व त्याचे सेवक ह्यांच्या हाती देईन. यानंतर पूर्वीप्रमाणे मिसरात वस्ती होईल. असे परमेश्वराने सांगितले आहे.
27 “But don’t you be afraid, Jacob my servant. Don’t be dismayed, Israel; for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.
२७परंतु तू, माझ्या सेवक याकोबा, भिऊ नकोस. हे इस्राएला, घाबरु नकोस. कारण पाहा, मी तुला दूर देशातून आणि तुझ्या वंशजाला त्यांच्या बंदिवासाच्या देशातून परत आणील. मग याकोबाला पुन्हा शांतता व संरक्षण लाभेल. तेथे कोणीही त्यास भीती दाखविणार नाही.
28 Don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant,” says Yahweh, “for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you, but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”
२८परमेश्वर म्हणतो, तू, माझ्या सेवका, याकोबा घाबरु नकोस. कारण मी तुजबरोबर आहे, ज्या राष्ट्रांमध्ये मी तुला विखरले आहे त्या सर्वांचा मी पूर्ण नाश करीन. पण मी तुझा पूर्ण नाश करणार नाही. तरी मी तुला न्यायाने शिक्षा करीन आणि तुला अगदीच शिक्षा केल्यावाचून सोडणार नाही.”
