Isaiah 44
1 Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.
౧అయినా నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబూ, నేను ఏర్పరచుకొన్న ఇశ్రాయేలూ, విను.
2 This is what Yahweh who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: “Don’t be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
౨నిన్ను సృష్టించి గర్భంలో నిన్ను నిర్మించి నీకు సహాయం చేసే యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు, “నా సేవకుడవైన యాకోబూ, నేను ఏర్పరచుకొన్న యెషూరూనూ, భయపడకు.
3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring;
౩నేను దాహం గొన్నవారి మీద నీళ్లను, ఎండిన భూమి మీద జల ప్రవాహాలను కుమ్మరిస్తాను. నీ సంతానం మీద నా ఆత్మను కుమ్మరిస్తాను. నీకు పుట్టిన వారిని ఆశీర్వదిస్తాను.
4 and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
౪నీటి కాలవల దగ్గర నాటిన నిరవంజి చెట్లు గడ్డిలో పెరిగినట్టు వారు పెరుగుతారు.
5 One will say, ‘I am Yahweh’s.’ Another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand ‘to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”
౫ఒకడు, ‘నేను యెహోవా వాణ్ణి’ అంటాడు, ఇంకొకడు యాకోబు పేరు చెబుతాడు. మరొకడు అయితే ‘యెహోవా వాణ్ణి’ అని తన చేతిపై రాసుకుని ఇశ్రాయేలు అనే మారు పేరు పెట్టుకుంటాడు.”
6 This is what Yahweh, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies, says: “I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
౬ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజైన యెహోవా, వారి విమోచకుడు, సైన్యాల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు, “నేను మొదటివాణ్ణి, చివరివాణ్ణి. నేను తప్ప ఏ దేవుడు లేడు.
7 Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.
౭ఆదిలో నా ప్రజలను నియమించినప్పటి నుండి నాలాగా విషయాలను వెల్లడి చేస్తూ వచ్చిన వాడెవడు? అలాంటివాడు ఉంటే నాకు చెప్పండి. వారు భవిష్యత్తులో జరిగే సంగతులను తెలియజెప్ప గలిగేవారై ఉండాలి.
8 Don’t fear, neither be afraid. Haven’t I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don’t know any other Rock.”
౮మీరు బెదరవద్దు, భయపడవద్దు. పూర్వకాలం నుండి నేను మీకు ఆ సంగతి వినిపిస్తూ ఉండలేదా? మీరే నాకు సాక్షులు, నేను తప్ప వేరొక దేవుడున్నాడా? నేను తప్ప వేరొక ఆశ్రయదుర్గం లేదు. ఉన్నట్టు నేనెరుగను.
9 Everyone who makes a carved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don’t see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.
౯విగ్రహాన్ని చేసే వారంతా మిధ్య. వారిష్టపడే విగ్రహాలు వ్యర్ధం. వారి సాక్షులు గ్రహింపు లేనివారు. చూడలేరు. కాబట్టి వారు సిగ్గు పాలవుతారు.
10 Who has fashioned a god, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?
౧౦ఎందుకూ పనికిరాని విగ్రహాన్ని పోత పోసి దాన్ని ఒక దేవుడిగా నిరూపించేవాడెవడు?
11 Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.
౧౧ఇదిగో, దాన్ని పూజించే వారంతా సిగ్గుపడతారు. ఆ శిల్పకారులు మానవ మాత్రులే గదా? వారందరినీ పోగు చేసి నిలబెడితే వారు తప్పకుండా భయపడతారు, సిగ్గుపడతారు.
12 The blacksmith takes an ax, works in the coals, fashions it with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. He is hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water, and is faint.
౧౨కమ్మరి ఇనుప గొడ్డలిని పదును చేస్తూ నిప్పుల మీద పని చేస్తాడు. తన బలమైన చేతితో దాన్ని తయారుచేస్తాడు. అతనికి ఆకలి వేస్తుంది, అతని బలం తగ్గిపోతుంది. నీళ్లు తాగకపోవడం చేత సొమ్మసిల్లి పడిపోతాడు.
13 The carpenter stretches out a line. He marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes. He marks it out with compasses, and shapes it like the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to reside in a house.
౧౩వడ్లవాడు చెక్క మీద నూలు తాడు వేసి గీత గీస్తాడు. దాన్ని చిత్రిక పట్టి నునుపుగా చేస్తాడు. ఎండ్రకాయ గుర్తు పెట్టి దాన్ని తయారు చేస్తాడు. మందిరంలో నిలబెట్టడం కోసం ఒక మానవ రూపాన్ని ఆకర్షణీయంగా ఉండేలా చేస్తాడు.
14 He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, and strengthens for himself one among the trees of the forest. He plants a cypress tree, and the rain nourishes it.
౧౪ఒకడు దేవదారు చెట్లను నరకడానికి పూనుకుంటాడు. లేక సరళ వృక్షాన్నో సింధూర వృక్షాన్నో ఏదొక అడవి వృక్షాన్ని ఎన్నుకుంటాడు. ఒకడు ఒక చెట్టును నాటినప్పుడు అది వర్షం సాయంతో పెరుగుతుంది.
15 Then it will be for a man to burn; and he takes some of it and warms himself. Yes, he burns it and bakes bread. Yes, he makes a god and worships it; he makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.
౧౫అప్పుడు ఒక మనిషి ఆ చెట్టుని కాల్చి వాటిలో కొంత తీసుకుని చలి కాచుకోడానికి, కొంత నిప్పు రాజబెట్టి రొట్టె కాల్చుకోడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తాడు. మిగిలినదాన్ని తీసుకుని దానితో ఒక దేవతను చేసుకుని దానికి నమస్కారం చేస్తాడు. దానితో ఒక విగ్రహం చేసి దానికి సాగిలపడతాడు.
16 He burns part of it in the fire. With part of it, he eats meat. He roasts a roast and is satisfied. Yes, he warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm. I have seen the fire.”
౧౬కొంత చెక్కను నిప్పుతో కాల్చి, దానిపై మాంసం వండుకుని తిని తృప్తి పొందుతాడు. ‘ఆహా, చలి కాచుకున్నాను, వెచ్చగా ఉంది’ అనుకున్నాడు.
17 The rest of it he makes into a god, even his engraved image. He bows down to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god!”
౧౭మిగిలిన భాగాన్ని తాను దేవుడుగా భావించే విగ్రహాన్ని చేసుకుంటాడు. దాని ఎదుట సాగిలపడి నమస్కారం చేస్తూ ‘నా దేవుడివి నువ్వే, నన్ను రక్షించు’ అని ప్రార్థిస్తాడు.
18 They don’t know, neither do they consider, for he has shut their eyes, that they can’t see, and their hearts, that they can’t understand.
౧౮వారికి తెలియదు, అర్థం చేసుకోరు. వారు చూడకుండేలా వారి కళ్ళు, అర్థం చేసుకోకుండేలా వారి హృదయాలు మూసుకుపోయాయి.
19 No one thinks, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned part of it in the fire. Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals. I have roasted meat and eaten it. Shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? Shall I bow down to a tree trunk?”
౧౯ఎవరూ ఆలోచించడం లేదు. ‘నేను సగం చెక్కను అగ్నిలో కాల్చాను, ఆ నిప్పుల మీద రొట్టె కాల్చుకుని, మాంసం వండుకుని భోజనం చేశాను. మిగిలిన చెక్కను తీసుకుని దానితో అసహ్యమైన దాన్ని చేయాలా? ఒక చెట్టు మొద్దుకు సాగిలపడి నమస్కరించాలా?’ అని ఆలోచించడానికి ఎవరికీ తెలివి, వివేచన లేదు.
20 He feeds on ashes. A deceived heart has turned him aside; and he can’t deliver his soul, nor say, “Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”
౨౦వాడు బూడిద తిన్నట్టుగా ఉంది. వాడి మోసపోయిన మనస్సు వాణ్ణి దారి తప్పేలా చేసింది. వాడు తన ఆత్మను రక్షించుకోలేడు. ‘నా కుడి చేతిలో ఉన్న బొమ్మ నకిలీ దేవుడు కదా’ అనుకోడానికి వాడికి బుద్ధి సరిపోదు.
21 Remember these things, Jacob and Israel, for you are my servant. I have formed you. You are my servant. Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.
౨౧యాకోబూ, ఇశ్రాయేలూ, వీటిని గురించి ఆలోచించు. నువ్వు నా సేవకుడివి. నేనే నిన్ను నిర్మించాను. ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నువ్వు నాకు సేవకుడివి. నేను నిన్ను మరచిపోను.
22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
౨౨మంచు విడిపోయేలా నేను నీ అతిక్రమాలను, మేఘాలు తొలగిపోయేలా నీ పాపాలను తుడిచివేశాను. నేను నిన్ను విమోచించాను. నా దగ్గరికి తిరిగి రా.
23 Sing, you heavens, for Yahweh has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth! Break out into singing, you mountains, O forest, all of your trees, for Yahweh has redeemed Jacob, and will glorify himself in Israel.
౨౩యెహోవా ఆ పని పూర్తి చేశాడు. ఆకాశాల్లారా, గీతాలు పాడండి. భూమీ, దాని కింది అగాధ స్థలాలు గొప్ప ధ్వని చేయండి. పర్వతాలూ, అరణ్యం, అందులోని ప్రతి వృక్షం, సంగీతనాదం చేయండి. యెహోవా యాకోబును విమోచిస్తాడు. ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలులో తన మహిమను కనపరుస్తాడు.”
24 Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;
౨౪గర్భంలో నిన్ను నిర్మించినవాడు, నీ విమోచకుడు అయిన యెహోవా ఈ విధంగా చెబుతున్నాడు, “యెహోవా అనే నేనే సమస్తాన్నీ జరిగించేవాణ్ణి. నేనొక్కడినే ఆకాశాలను విశాలపరచాను. నేనే భూమిని చక్కబరచిన వాణ్ణి.
25 who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;
౨౫నేనే ప్రగల్భాలు పలికేవారి ప్రవచనాలను వ్యర్ధం చేసేవాణ్ణి. సోదె చెప్పేవాళ్ళను వెర్రివాళ్ళుగా, జ్ఞానులను వెనక్కి మళ్ళించి వారి తెలివిని బుద్ధిహీనతగా చేసేవాణ్ణి నేనే.
26 who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem, ‘She will be inhabited;’ and of the cities of Judah, ‘They will be built,’ and ‘I will raise up its waste places;’
౨౬నా సేవకుని మాటలను స్థిరపరిచే వాణ్ణీ, నా సందేశకుల ఆలోచనలు నెరవేర్చే వాణ్ణీ నేనే. యెరూషలేములో ప్రజలు నివసిస్తారనీ యూదా పట్టణాలను తిరిగి కడతారనీ నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించాను. దాని పాడైన స్థలాలను బాగు చేసేవాణ్ణి నేనే.
27 who says to the deep, ‘Be dry,’ and ‘I will dry up your rivers,’
౨౭నీ లోతైన సముద్రాలను ‘ఎండిపో’ అని చెప్పి వాటిని ఇంకిపోయేలా చేసేది నేనే.
28 who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure,’ even saying of Jerusalem, ‘She will be built;’ and of the temple, ‘Your foundation will be laid.’”
౨౮కోరెషుతో, ‘నా మందకాపరీ, నా ఇష్టాన్ని నెరవేర్చేవాడా’ అని చెప్పేవాణ్ణి నేనే. అతడు ‘యెరూషలేమును తిరిగి కట్టండి’ అనీ ‘దేవాలయం పునాది వేయండి’ అనీ ఆజ్ఞాపిస్తాడని నేను చెబుతున్నాను.”
