Hebrews 6
1 Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God,
Então, deixemos de lado os ensinamentos básicos sobre Cristo e passemos a um entendimento mais maduro sobre o Filho de Deus. Nós não precisamos repetir as ideias de arrependimento das obras inúteis e sobre crer em Deus,
2 of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)
ou os ensinamentos sobre o batismo. Também não é necessário relembrarmos o ato de pôr as mãos sobre os cristãos, a ressurreição dos mortos e o julgamento eterno. (aiōnios g166)
3 This will we do, if God permits.
Então, sigamos em frente, se, assim, Deus nos permitir!
4 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
O arrependimento se torna algo impossível para aqueles que, tendo compreendido e vivido o dom celestial dado por Deus, tendo recebido o Espírito Santo
e conhecido a boa palavra de Deus e o poder dos novos tempos que virão, (aiōn g165)
6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.
tenham abandonado completamente a Deus. Foram eles mesmos que, mais uma vez, crucificaram o Filho de Deus e o humilharam diante de todos.
7 For the land which has drunk the rain that comes often on it and produces a crop suitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receives blessing from God;
A bênção de Deus cai sobre a terra em que também cai a chuva, produzindo, assim, colheitas para aqueles que a cultivam.
8 but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burned.
Mas a terra que só produz ervas daninhas e espinhos é inútil e está próxima de ser condenada. No final, tudo o que resta é queimá-la.
9 But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.
Mas, queridos amigos, mesmo que falemos dessa maneira, nós acreditamos que o melhor acontecerá a vocês e que serão salvos.
10 For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.
Deus não seria tão injusto a ponto de esquecer o que vocês fizeram e o amor que demonstraram por ele, pelo cuidado que vocês demonstraram e ainda demonstram aos irmãos na fé.
11 We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,
Queremos que cada um de vocês demonstre o mesmo comprometimento e que não perca a esperança em Deus, até o fim, para que se cumpra o que se espera.
12 that you won’t be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherited the promises.
Não sejam preguiçosos. Pelo contrário, sigam o exemplo daqueles que, por meio de sua fé em Deus e de paciência, receberam o que Deus tinha prometido.
13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,
Quando Deus fez sua promessa para Abraão, não havia ninguém acima dele. Assim, ele jurou por si mesmo
14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”
dizendo: “Certamente que eu o abençoarei e lhe darei numerosos descendentes.”
15 Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
E, então, após esperar pacientemente, Abraão viu o cumprimento da promessa que Deus lhe fez.
16 For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.
As pessoas juram sobre coisas que são mais importantes do que elas e, quando discutem sobre algo, o juramento é considerado como a palavra final sobre a questão.
17 In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath,
É por isso que Deus quis demonstrar mais claramente para aqueles que herdariam a promessa que ele jamais mudaria de ideia.
18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.
Então, por causa dessas duas ações, que não podem ser mudadas e, sabendo que é impossível para Deus mentir, podemos confiar totalmente e estarmos seguros na esperança que Deus nos deu.
19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil,
Essa esperança é a nossa segurança espiritual, firme e confiável, e que nos faz ultrapassar a cortina do templo celestial e chegar na presença de Deus.
