Hebrews 13
1 Let brotherly love continue.
兄弟愛を続けなさい。
2 Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
旅人をもてなすことを忘れてはならない。このようにして、ある人々は、気づかないで御使たちをもてなした。
3 Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body.
獄につながれている人たちを、自分も一緒につながれている心持で思いやりなさい。また、自分も同じ肉体にある者だから、苦しめられている人たちのことを、心にとめなさい。
4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
すべての人は、結婚を重んずべきである。また寝床を汚してはならない。神は、不品行な者や姦淫をする者をさばかれる。
5 Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
金銭を愛することをしないで、自分の持っているもので満足しなさい。主は、「わたしは、決してあなたを離れず、あなたを捨てない」と言われた。
6 So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
だから、わたしたちは、はばからずに言おう、「主はわたしの助け主である。わたしには恐れはない。人は、わたしに何ができようか」。
7 Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith.
神の言をあなたがたに語った指導者たちのことを、いつも思い起しなさい。彼らの生活の最後を見て、その信仰にならいなさい。
イエス・キリストは、きのうも、きょうも、いつまでも変ることがない。 (aiōn g165)
9 Don’t be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be established by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
さまざまな違った教によって、迷わされてはならない。食物によらず、恵みによって、心を強くするがよい。食物によって歩いた者は、益を得ることがなかった。
10 We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat.
わたしたちには一つの祭壇がある。幕屋で仕えている者たちは、その祭壇の食物をたべる権利はない。
11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp.
なぜなら、大祭司によって罪のためにささげられるけものの血は、聖所のなかに携えて行かれるが、そのからだは、営所の外で焼かれてしまうからである。
12 Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.
だから、イエスもまた、ご自分の血で民をきよめるために、門の外で苦難を受けられたのである。
13 Let’s therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach.
したがって、わたしたちも、彼のはずかしめを身に負い、営所の外に出て、みもとに行こうではないか。
14 For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.
この地上には、永遠の都はない。きたらんとする都こそ、わたしたちの求めているものである。
15 Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.
だから、わたしたちはイエスによって、さんびのいけにえ、すなわち、彼の御名をたたえるくちびるの実を、たえず神にささげようではないか。
16 But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
そして、善を行うことと施しをすることとを、忘れてはいけない。神は、このようないけにえを喜ばれる。
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.
あなたがたの指導者たちの言うことを聞きいれて、従いなさい。彼らは、神に言いひらきをすべき者として、あなたがたのたましいのために、目をさましている。彼らが嘆かないで、喜んでこのことをするようにしなさい。そうでないと、あなたがたの益にならない。
18 Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.
わたしたちのために、祈ってほしい。わたしたちは明らかな良心を持っていると信じており、何事についても、正しく行動しようと願っている。
19 I strongly urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner.
わたしがあなたがたの所に早く帰れるため、祈ってくれるように、特にお願いする。
20 Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, (aiōnios g166)
永遠の契約の血による羊の大牧者、わたしたちの主イエスを、死人の中から引き上げられた平和の神が、 (aiōnios g166)
21 make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
イエス・キリストによって、みこころにかなうことをわたしたちにして下さり、あなたがたが御旨を行うために、すべての良きものを備えて下さるようにこい願う。栄光が、世々限りなく神にあるように、アァメン。 (aiōn g165)
22 But I exhort you, brothers, endure the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words.
兄弟たちよ。どうかわたしの勧めの言葉を受けいれてほしい。わたしは、ただ手みじかに書いたのだから。
23 Know that our brother Timothy has been freed, with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you.
わたしたちの兄弟テモテがゆるされたことを、お知らせする。もし彼が早く来れば、彼と一緒にわたしはあなたがたに会えるだろう。
24 Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. The Italians greet you.
あなたがたの指導者一同と聖徒たち一同に、よろしく伝えてほしい。イタリヤからきた人々から、あなたがたによろしく。
25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
恵みが、あなたがた一同にあるように。
