< Ephesians 5 >

1 Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
Ke kowos tulik kulo nutin God uh, kowos enenu in srike in oana El.
2 Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
Lela lungse in kalem in ma nukewa kowos oru, oana ke Christ el lungse kut, ac sifacna lafwekunla moul lal kacsr, tuh in oana sie mwe kisa keng su akinsewowoye God.
3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;
Ke sripen kowos mwet lun God, tia wo in fwack keiwos mu oasr kutena lumah inge inmasrlowos: kosro, ouiya fohkfok, ku rapku.
4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate, but rather giving of thanks.
Tia pac fal kowos in sopoklot in kas, kaskas suoac, ku aksruksruk koluk. A fal kowos in sang kulo nu sin God.
5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
Kowos etu na lah mwet kosro, ku mwet moulkin ouiya fohkfok, ku mwet rapku ac fah tia wi ipeis ke Tokosrai lun Christ ac lun God. (Tuh rapku el oapana alu nu ke ma sruloala.)
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Nik kowos lela kutena mwet in kiapwekowosla ke kas lusrongten; mweyen lumah inge nukewa ac oru tuh mulat lun God in oan faclos su tia aksol.
7 Therefore don’t be partakers with them.
Ke ma inge kowos in tiana wi mwet ouinge uh.
8 For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
Kowos sifacna tuh muta in lohsr meet, na inge ke kowos ekla mwet lun God, kowos muta in kalem. Ke ma inge kowos enenu in moul oana mwet su ma lun kalem.
9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
Pa inge fahko lun kalem: ma wo nukewa, ma suwoswos nukewa, ac ma pwaye nukewa.
10 proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
Kowos in suk in etu ma ac akinsewowoye Leum.
11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
Kowos in tia wi mwet su oru orekma in lohsr, su ma lusrongten. A kowos in use ma inge nu ke kalem.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
(Mwe mwekin se fin srumunyuk ma elos oru in lukma.)
13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
Kutena ma su utuku nu ke kalem uh, ac fah ku in eteyuk wo;
14 Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
tuh ma nukewa ma akkalemyeyukla uh ac ekla ma kalem. Oana ke fwack mu, “Ngutalik, kom su motul, Ac tukakek liki misa, Ac Christ el fah tolkomyak.”
15 Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,
Ke ma inge kowos in liyaung ouiyen moul lowos. Nikmet moul oana mwet nikin, a kowos in moul oana mwet lalmwetmet.
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Molela pacl, mweyen len inge len koluk.
17 Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Kowos in tia lalfon, a kowos in suk ma Leum el lungse kowos in oru.
18 Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
Nik kowos sruhi ke wain mweyen ac kunauskowosla, a moul lowos in nwanala ke Ngun Mutal.
19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Kaskas nu sin sie sin sie ke kas lun psalm ac on mutal; alullul ac onkakin psalm nu sin Leum ac kaksakunul ke insiowos kewa.
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
Pacl nukewa kowos in sang kulo ke ma nukewa nu sin God Papa, ke inen Leum lasr Jesus Christ.
21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.
Kowos in akpusiselye kowos nu sin sie sin sie in akkalemye lah kowos akfulatye Christ.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Mutan kia, kowos in akpusiselye kowos nu sin mukul tomowos, oana nu sin Leum.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
Tuh mukul tuma el sifen mutan kial, oana ke Christ el sifin church; ac Christ sifacna el Mwet Lango lun church, su manol.
24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
Ouinge, mutan kia elos enenu in arulana akpusiselyalos nu sin mukul tumalos, oana ke church el akpusiselyal nu sin Christ.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her,
Mukul tuma, kowos in lungse mutan kiowos, oana ke Christ el lungse church ac asang moul lal kac.
26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
El oru ma inge tuh elan akmutalye church ke ku lun kas lal, ac el aknasnasyela ke kof,
27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.
tuh elan eis nu sel sifacna sie church su wolana — wangin tuhn kac, tia pac lupolop uh ku tuhneyukla ke kutena ma.
28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
Ouinge mukul tuma elos enenu in lungse mutan kialos oana ke elos lungse manolos sifacna. Mukul se fin lungse mutan kial, el lungse el sifacna.
29 For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly,
(Wangin mwet srunga manol sifacna, a el kitaung ac arulana karinganang, oana ke Christ el oru nu ke church.
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
Kut etu lah ouinge mweyen kut lahn manol.)
31 “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh.”
Oana simla in Ma Simusla: “Pa ingan sripa se oru sie mukul el som liki papa tumal ac nina kial, ac fulyang nu sin mutan kial, ac eltal fah ma sefannala.”
32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly.
Oasr sie kalmac na yohk in kas inge ma tia eteyuk meet, su nga etu mu ma fahkyen Christ ac church.
33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Ma inge ma nu suwos pac: kais sie mukul tuma elan lungse mutan kial oana el sifacna, ac kais sie mutan kia elan akfulatye mukul tumal.
