Deuteronomy 9

1 Hear, Israel! You are to pass over the Jordan today, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky,

၁အို ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၊ နားထောင် လော့။ သင့် ထက် အားကြီး ၍ များပြား သော လူမျိုး တို့ကို၎င်း၊ မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်ကို ထိသော မြို့ရိုး နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသော မြို့ ကြီး တို့ကို၎င်း၊

2 a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, “Who can stand before the sons of Anak?”

၂အာနက အမျိုးသား ရှေ့ မှာ အဘယ်သူ ရပ် နိုင် သနည်းဟူသောစကားကို သင် ကြား ၍ ၊ သင် သိ သော အာနက အမျိုးသား တည်းဟူသောအလွန် ကြီးမြင့်သော လူမျိုး ကို၎င်းတိုက်ယူ ခြင်းငှာ ၊ ယခု ယော်ဒန် မြစ် တဘက် သို့ ကူး လုပြီ။

3 Know therefore today that Yahweh your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and he will bring them down before you. So you shall drive them out and make them perish quickly, as Yahweh has spoken to you.

၃သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင် ၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင့် ရှေ့ မှာ ကြွ သဖြင့်၊ လောင် သောမီး ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်လျက် သူ တို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီး ၍ ၊ သင့် မျက်မှောက် ၌ နှိမ့်ချ တော်မူမည်အကြောင်းကို ယခု သဘော ကျလော့။ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည် အတိုင်း ၊ သင် သည် သူ တို့ကို နှင်ထုတ် ၍ အလျင် အမြန်ဖျက်ဆီး ရလိမ့်မည်။

4 Don’t say in your heart, after Yahweh your God has thrust them out from before you, “For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to possess this land;” because Yahweh drives them out before you because of the wickedness of these nations.

၄သင် ၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သူ တို့ ကို သင့် ရှေ့ မှ နှင်ထုတ် တော်မူသောနောက် ၊ သင်က၊ ငါ့ ကုသိုလ် ကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ ကိုသွင်း ၍၊ ဤ ပြည် ကို အပိုင် ပေးတော်မူသည်ဟူ၍မ အောက်မေ့ ရ။ ထို လူမျိုး တို့၏ မ ကောင်းမှုကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သူ တို့ကို ငါ့ ရှေ့ မှ နှင်ထုတ် တော်မူသည်ဟူ၍စိတ် ထဲမှာ အောက်မေ့ ရမည်။

5 Not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

၅သင် ပြုသောကုသိုလ် ကြောင့် ၎င်း၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် သော သဘော ကြောင့် ၎င်း၊ ထို ပြည် ကို သွား ၍ ဝင်စား ရမည် မ ဟုတ်။ ထို လူမျိုး တို့၏ မကောင်းမှု ကြောင့် ၎င်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် ၏အဘ အာဗြဟံ ၊ ဣဇာက် ၊ ယာကုပ် တို့အား ကျိန်ဆို တော်မူသော စကား တော်ကို တည် စေလိုသောငှာ ၎င်း ၊ သင် ၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သူ တို့ကို သင့် ရှေ့ မှ နှင်ထုတ် တော်မူ၏။

6 Know therefore that Yahweh your God doesn’t give you this good land to possess for your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.

၆သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင် ၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် ၏ကုသိုလ် ကြောင့် ၊ ထို ကောင်းမွန် သော ပြည် ကိုပေး တော်မူသည်မ ဟုတ်။ သင် သည် လည်ပင်း ခိုင်မာ သော အမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။

7 Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.

၇သင်သည်၊ သင် ၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အမျက် တော်ထွက်စေခြင်းငှာ၊ တော ၌ ပြုမိသည်ကို မ မေ့ နှင့်၊ အောက်မေ့ လော့။ သင်သည် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် ထဲက ထွက် သော နေ့ မှစ၍ ဤ အရပ် သို့ ရောက် သည် တိုင်အောင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပုန်ကန် ပြီ။

8 Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you.

၈ဟောရပ် အရပ်၌ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အမျက် တော်ထွက်စေသဖြင့် ၊ သင့် ကို ဖျက်ဆီး လောက်အောင် အမျက် ထွက်တော်မူ၏။

9 When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

၉ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့နှင့် ဖွဲ့ သော ပဋိညာဉ် တရားကို ရေးထားသော ကျောက်ပြား တို့ကိုခံ ယူခြင်းငှာ ၊ တောင် ပေါ်သို့ ငါ တက် သောအခါ ၊ အရက် လေးဆယ် ပတ်လုံးမုန့် ကိုမ စား ၊ ရေ ကို မ သောက် ဘဲ တောင် ပေါ် မှာနေ လေ၏။

10 Yahweh delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly.

၁၀သင် တို့သည် စည်းဝေး ကြသောနေ့ ၌ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် တောင် ပေါ် မှာ မီး ထဲက မြွက်ဆို တော်မူသော စကား တော်အလုံးစုံ တို့ကို လက်ညှိုး တော်ဖြင့် ရေးထား သော ကျောက်ပြား နှစ် ပြားတို့ကို ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ အား အပ် ပေးတော်မူ၏။

11 It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant.

၁၁အရက် လေးဆယ် စေ့ သောအခါ ၊ ထိုပဋိညာဉ် ကျောက် ပြား နှစ် ပြား ကို ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ အား ပေး တော်မူလျှင်၊

12 Yahweh said to me, “Arise, get down quickly from here; for your people whom you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned away from the way which I commanded them. They have made a molten image for themselves!”

၁၂သင်သည် ထ ၍ အလျင် အမြန်ဆင်း သွားလော့။ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ သင်နှုတ်ဆောင် ခဲ့သောသင် ၏ လူ တို့သည် ဖောက်ပြန် ၍ ၊ ငါမှာထား သော လမ်း မှ အလျင် အမြန်လွှဲ ၍၊ ရုပ်တု ကို သွန်း ကြပြီဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

13 Furthermore Yahweh spoke to me, saying, “I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people.

၁၃တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရား က၊ ဤ လူမျိုး ကို ငါကြည့် မြင်ပြီ။ လည်ပင်း ခိုင်မာ သော အမျိုး ဖြစ်၏။

14 Leave me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the sky; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.”

၁၄သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါ့ ကို ရှိ စေလော့။ သူ တို့ကို ငါဖျက်ဆီး မည်။ သူ တို့နာမ ကိုလည်း ကောင်းကင် အောက် မှာ ငါချေ မည်။ သင့်ကိုမူကား၊ သူ တို့ထက် အားကြီး ၍ များပြား သော အမျိုး ဖြစ် စေမည်ဟု ငါ့ အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

15 So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. The two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

၁၅ထိုအခါ ငါ သည် ပဋိညာဉ် ကျောက်ပြား နှစ် ပြား ကို ကိုင် လျက် ၊ လှည့် ၍ မီး လောင် သော တောင် ပေါ်က ဆင်း လာ၏။

16 I looked, and behold, you had sinned against Yahweh your God. You had made yourselves a molded calf. You had quickly turned away from the way which Yahweh had commanded you.

၁၆သင်တို့သည် သင် တို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပြစ်မှား ၍ ၊ နွားသငယ် ရုပ်တု ကို သွန်း ကြောင်း နှင့် ထာဝရဘုရား မှာထား တော်မူသော လမ်း မှ အလျင်အမြန် လွှဲ သွားကြောင်းကို ငါသည် ကြည့် မြင်လျှင်၊

17 I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

၁၇လက် နှစ် ဘက်နှင့် ကိုင် သော ကျောက်ပြား တို့ကို ချ ၍၊ သင် တို့မျက်မှောက် ၌ ငါချိုးဖဲ့ ၏။

18 I fell down before Yahweh, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger.

၁၈သင် တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အမျက် တော် ထွက်စေခြင်းငှာ ၊ ရှေ့ တော်၌ ဒုစရိုက် ကို ပြု မိသောအပြစ် ရှိသမျှ တို့ကြောင့် ၊ ငါသည် အရင်ပြုသကဲ့သို့ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ပြပ်ဝပ် ၍ အရက် လေးဆယ် ပတ်လုံးမုန့် ကိုမ စား ၊ ရေ ကို မ သောက် ဘဲနေရ၏။

19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which Yahweh was angry against you to destroy you. But Yahweh listened to me that time also.

၁၉အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီး ခြင်းငှာ အလွန် ပြင်းစွာထွက် သော အမျက် တော်အရှိန်ကို ငါကြောက် ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ စကားကို တဖန် နားထောင် တော်မူ၏။

20 Yahweh was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him. I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

၂၀ထာဝရဘုရား သည်လည်း ၊ အာရုန် ကို ဖျက်ဆီး ခြင်းငှါ အလွန် အမျက် ထွက်တော်မူသောကြောင့် ၊ အာရုန် အဘို့ ကိုလည်း ဆုတောင်း လေ၏။

21 I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire, and crushed it, grinding it very small, until it was as fine as dust. I threw its dust into the brook that descended out of the mountain.

၂၁သင် တို့ဒုစရိုက် တည်းဟူသော သင်တို့လုပ် သော နွားသငယ် ကို ငါယူ သဖြင့် အရည်ကျို ၍၊ အမှုန့် ဖြစ် အောင် ညက်ညက် ချေပြီးလျှင်၊ တောင် ထဲက ထွက် သော ချောင်း ရေပေါ် မှာ ချပစ် လေ၏။

22 At Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth Hattaavah you provoked Yahweh to wrath.

၂၂တဗေရ အရပ်၊ မဿာ အရပ်၊ ကိဗြုတ် ဟတ္တဝါအရပ်၌ လည်း ၊ သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အမျက် တော်ထွက်အောင် ပြု ကြ၏။

23 When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, “Go up and possess the land which I have given you,” you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn’t believe him or listen to his voice.

၂၃ကာဒေရှဗာနာ အရပ်၌ လည်း ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား က၊ သွား ၍ ငါပေး သော ပြည် ကို သိမ်းယူ ကြလော့ဟု သင် တို့ကို စေခိုင်း တော်မူသောအခါ ၊ သင် တို့သည် သင် တို့၏ ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား အမိန့် တော်ကို ငြင်းဆန် ကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် ကို မ ယုံ ၊ စကား တော်ကို နား မ ထောင်ဘဲနေကြ၏။

24 You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.

၂၄ငါ သိ ကျွမ်းသောနေ့ မှစ၍ ၊ သင် တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ပုန်ကန် လျက်နေ ကြပြီ။

25 So I fell down before Yahweh the forty days and forty nights that I fell down, because Yahweh had said he would destroy you.

၂၅ထာဝရဘုရား သည် သင် တို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီး မည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူသောကြောင့် ၊ ငါသည် အရင်ပြပ်ဝပ် သကဲ့သို့၊ အရက် လေးဆယ် ပတ်လုံးပြပ်ဝပ် လျက်နေရ၏။

26 I prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Lord Yahweh, don’t destroy your people and your inheritance that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

၂၆ထာဝရဘုရား အား လည်း ၊ အိုအရှင် ဘုရားသခင်၊ တန်ခိုး တော်အားဖြင့် ရွေး တော်မူ၍ ၊ အားကြီး သော လက် တော်နှင့် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ နှုတ်ဆောင် တော်မူသော ကိုယ်တော် ၏အမွေ ဥစ္စာဖြစ်သော ဤလူ တို့ ကို ဖျက်ဆီး တော်မ မူပါနှင့်။

27 Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Don’t look at the stubbornness of this people, nor at their wickedness, nor at their sin,

၂၇ကိုယ်တော် ၏ကျွန် အာဗြဟံ ၊ ဣဇာက် ၊ ယာကုပ် တို့ကို အောက်မေ့ တော်မူပါ။ ဤ လူမျိုး သည် ခိုင်မာ သော သဘောရှိ၍၊ ပြစ်မှားမိသော ဒုစရိုက် အပြစ် ကို မှတ် တော် မ မူပါနှင့်။

28 lest the land you brought us out from say, ‘Because Yahweh was not able to bring them into the land which he promised to them, and because he hated them, he has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’

၂၈သို့မဟုတ် အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကို နှုတ်ဆောင် တော်မူသော ပြည်သား တို့က၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဂတိ ထားသော ပြည် သို့ သူ တို့ကို ဆောင် သွင်းခြင်းငှာ မ တတ် နိုင်သောကြောင့် ၎င်း၊ သူ တို့ကို မုန်း သောကြောင့် ၎င်း၊ တော ၌ သတ် လိုသောငှာ ထုတ် သွားပြီဟု ဆို ကြပါ လိမ့်မည်တကား။

29 Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your great power and by your outstretched arm.”

၂၉ဤလူ တို့သည်ကား ၊ မဟာတန်ခိုး တော်နှင့် လက်ရုံး တော်ကို ဆန့် သဖြင့် နှုတ်ဆောင် တော်မူသော ကိုယ်တော် ၏ အမွေ လူဖြစ်ကြပါသည်ဟု ငါသည် ဆုတောင်းလေ၏။
