Colossians 4
1 Masters, give to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
Senhores, tratem os seus escravos de forma correta e justa, reconhecendo que vocês também têm um Senhor no céu.
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving,
Lembrem-se de continuar orando com a mente alerta e agradecida!
3 praying together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds,
Orem também por nós, para que Deus possa nos dar a oportunidade de anunciar a mensagem e para falar a respeito do mistério revelado de Cristo, que é o motivo por eu estar aqui preso.
4 that I may reveal it as I ought to speak.
Orem para que eu fale da forma mais clara possível.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
Tenham uma atitude sábia com os que são de fora e usem bem toda a oportunidade que tiverem.
6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Ao falarem, sejam sempre gentis. Que as suas conversas sejam de bom gosto e que vocês pensem sobre como responder da melhor maneira a cada pessoa com a qual conversarem.
7 All my affairs will be made known to you by Tychicus, the beloved brother, faithful servant, and fellow bondservant in the Lord.
Tíquico lhes dirá o que está acontecendo comigo. Ele é um irmão querido, um trabalhador fiel e um companheiro no serviço do Senhor.
8 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your circumstances and comfort your hearts,
Eu o envio a vocês para que saibam como estou indo e para que, assim, se animem.
9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you everything that is going on here.
Onésimo, um irmão querido, e que faz parte da igreja de vocês, acompanhará Tíquico. Eles lhes explicarão tudo o que está acontecendo aqui.
10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you received instructions, “if he comes to you, receive him”),
Aristarco, que está comigo aqui na cadeia, envia saudações. Assim como Marcos, primo de Barnabé. Vocês já têm orientações para recebê-lo, se ele os visitar.
11 and Jesus who is called Justus. These are my only fellow workers for God’s Kingdom who are of the circumcision, men who have been a comfort to me.
E Jesus, também conhecido como Justo, também manda saudações. Esses três são os únicos judeus cristãos entre os que trabalham comigo aqui para o Reino de Deus, homens que demonstraram ser de grande ajuda para mim.
12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Epafras, que também faz parte da igreja de vocês e é um servo de Cristo Jesus, envia saudações. Ele sempre ora por vocês com muito sentimento, pedindo para que fiquem firmes como cristãos maduros, com total certeza a respeito de tudo que Deus quer.
13 For I testify about him that he has great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.
Pois eu lhes posso afirmar que ele tem feito muito por vocês e também por aqueles em Laodiceia e em Hierápolis.
14 Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.
Lucas, nosso querido médico, e Demas também enviam saudações.
15 Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, with Nymphas and the assembly that is in his house.
Cumprimentem os irmãos que vivem em Laodiceia. Saudações também a Ninfa e para a igreja que se reúne na casa dela.
16 When this letter has been read among you, cause it to be read also in the assembly of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter from Laodicea.
E quando esta carta for lida por vocês, enviem-na depois para os irmãos de Laodiceia, para que eles a leiam também. E vocês, leiam também a carta enviada para Laodiceia.
17 Tell Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you fulfill it.”
Digam isso a Arquipo: “Cuide para que cumpra o trabalho que você recebeu de Deus.”
18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.
Eu, Paulo, escrevo a saudação final com a minha própria mão. Lembrem-se de que eu estou na cadeia. Que a graça de Deus esteja com vocês!
