Colossians 3
1 If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
Mas si habéis resucitado con Cristo, buscád lo que es de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.
2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
Ponéd vuestro corazón en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Porque muertos estáis, y vuestra vida está guardada con Cristo en Dios.
4 When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
Cuando se manifestare Cristo, que es nuestra vida, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con él en gloria.
5 Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Hacéd morir, pues, vuestros miembros que están sobre la tierra, es a saber, la fornicación, la inmundicia, la molicie, la mala concupiscencia, y la avaricia, la cual es idolatría:
6 For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
Por las cuales cosas la ira de Dios viene sobre los hijos de rebelión:
7 You also once walked in those, when you lived in them,
En las cuales vosotros también andabais en otro tiempo, cuando vivíais en ellas.
8 but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
Mas ahora dejáos también vosotros de todas estas cosas; ira, enojo, malicia, maledicencia, torpes palabras de vuestra boca:
9 Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
No mintáis los unos a los otros, habiéndoos despojado del hombre viejo con sus hechos,
10 and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
Y habiéndoos vestido del nuevo, el cual es renovado en el conocimiento, conforme a la imagen del que le creó:
11 where there can’t be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free person; but Christ is all, and in all.
Donde no hay Griego ni Judío, circuncisión ni incircuncisión, bárbaro ni Escita, siervo ni libre; mas Cristo es todo y en todo.
12 Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;
Vestíos, pues, (como los escogidos de Dios, santos, y amados) de entrañas de misericordia, de benignidad, de humildad de espíritu, de mansedumbre, de longanimidad:
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Soportándoos los unos a los otros, y perdonándoos los unos a los otros, si alguno tuviere queja contra otro: a la manera que Cristo os perdonó, así también perdonád vosotros.
14 Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
Y sobre todas estas cosas vestíos de amor, el cual es el vínculo de la perfección.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
Y la paz de Dios reine en vuestros corazones: a la cual asimismo sois llamados en un mismo cuerpo; y sed agradecidos.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
La palabra de Cristo habite en vosotros abundantemente en toda sabiduría; enseñándoos, y exhortándoos los unos a los otros con salmos, e himnos, y canciones espirituales, con gracia cantando en vuestros corazones al Señor.
17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Y todo lo que hiciereis, en palabra, o en obra, hacédlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias a Dios y al Padre por medio de él.
18 Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Casadas, estád sujetas a vuestros propios maridos, como conviene en el Señor.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
Maridos, amád a vuestras mujeres, y no les seáis desabridos.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
Hijos, obedecéd a vuestros padres en todo; porque esto agrada al Señor.
21 Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged.
Padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, porque no se desalienten.
22 Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
Siervos, obedecéd en todo a vuestros señores según la carne, no sirviendo al ojo, como los que agradan a los hombres, sino con sencillez de corazón, temiendo a Dios.
23 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Y todo lo que hiciereis hacéd lo de corazón, como mirando al Señor, y no a los hombres:
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
Estando ciertos que del Señor recibiréis el premio de la herencia; porque al Señor Cristo servís.
25 But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
Mas el que hace injusticia, recibirá la injusticia que hiciere; que no hay respeto de personas.
