Acts 5
1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
Karon adunay usa ka tawo nga ginganlan ug Ananias, kauban ang iyang asawa nga si Safira, nga nagbaligya sa ilang katigayonan,
2 and kept back part of the price, his wife also being aware of it, then brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
ug iyang gitagoan ang ubang halin nga salapi (ang iyang asawa nasayod niini), ug gidala ang laing bahin ug gibutang kini diha sa tiilan sa mga apostoles.
3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Apan si Pedro miingon, “Ananias, nganong gitugotan man nimo si Satanas nga gilukop ang imong kasingkasing sa pagpamakak sa Balaang Espiritu ug sa pagkuha sa laing bahin sa halin sa yuta?
4 While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”
Samtang kini wala pa mahalin, wala ba kini magpabilin sa imong pagpanag-iya? Ug human kini mahalin, wala ka na bay katungod niini? Giunsa nimo paghunahuna kining butanga sa imong kasingkasing? Ikaw wala namakak sa tawo, apan sa Dios.
5 Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard these things.
Sa pagkadungog niining mga pulonga, si Ananias natumba ug namatay siya. Ug dakong kahadlok ang miabot niadtong tanan nga nakadungog niini.
6 The young men arose and wrapped him up, and they carried him out and buried him.
Ang mga batan-ong lalaki miadto sa atubangan ug giputos siya, ug ilang gidala siya sa gawas ug gilubong.
7 About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
Human ang tulo ka oras, ang iyang asawa misulod, walay kasayoran unsa ang nahitabo.
8 Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much.” She said, “Yes, for so much.”
Si Pedro miingon kaniya, “Sultihi ako kung imo ba gayod gibaligya ang yuta sa dakong kantidad.” Siya mitubag, “Oo, sa dakong kantidad.”
9 But Peter asked her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”
Unya si Pedro miingon kaniya, “Giunsa kini nga kamo nagkauyon sa pagsulay sa Espiritu sa Ginoo? Tan-awa, ang mga tiil niadtong mga tawo nga naglubong sa imong bana ania sa pultahan, ug ila kang dayongan pagawas.”
10 She fell down immediately at his feet and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.
Siya sa kalit dayon natumba sa iyang tiilan, ug namatay siya, ug ang mga batan-ong lalaki misulod ug nakita siya nga namatay na; ila siyang gidayongan pagawas ug siya gilubong tapad sa iyang bana.
11 Great fear came on the whole assembly, and on all who heard these things.
Miabot ang tumang kahadlok sa tibuok simbahan, ug sa tanan nga nakadungog niining mga butanga.
12 By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
Daghang mga timailhan ug mga kahibulongan ang nahitabo taliwala sa mga tawo pinaagi sa mga kamot sa mga apostoles. Silang tanan nagkahiusa sa portico ni Solomon.
13 None of the rest dared to join them; however, the people honored them.
Apan walay bisan kinsa nga adunay kaisog sa pag-apil kanila; apan, ang mga tawo adunay taas nga pagtamod kanila.
14 More believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.
Sa gihapon ang mga magtutuo nagkadugang pagkadaghan ngadto sa Ginoo, kadaghanan sa mga lalaki ug mga babaye,
15 They even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mattresses, so that as Peter came by, at least his shadow might overshadow some of them.
busa ilang gidala ang mga masakiton didto sa mga kadalanan ug gipahigda nila sa mga lingkoranan, aron sa paglabay ni Pedro pinaagi sa iyang anino malandongan ang uban kanila.
16 The multitude also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits; and they were all healed.
Aduna usab miabot nga dakong panon sa mga tawo gikan sa mga lungsod nga nakapalibot sa Jerusalem, nga nagdala sa masakiton ug kadtong gisudlan sa hugaw nga espiritu, ug silang tanan nangaayo.
17 But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy
Apan ang labaw nga pari mibarog, ug kadtong tanan nga uban kaniya (nga pundok sa mga Saduseo); ug silang tanan napuno sa kasina,
18 and laid hands on the apostles, then put them in public custody.
ug gidakop nila ang mga apostoles, ug gibutang sila sa pangpubliko nga bilanggoan.
19 But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out and said,
Apan panahon sa kagabhi-on giabrihan sa anghel sa Ginoo ang pultahan sa bilanggoan ug gipagawas sila, ug miingon,
20 “Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”
“Lakaw, barog didto sa templo ug isulti sa mga tawo ang mahitungod niining pulong sa Kinabuhi.”
21 When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak and taught. But the high priest and those who were with him came and called the council together, with all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
Sa dihang sila nakadungog niini, sila misulod didto sa templo sa pagkabanagbanag ug nagtudlo. Apan ang labaw nga pari miabot, ug kadtong uban kaniya, ug gipatawag ang konseho, ug ang tanan nga mga pangulo sa mga tawo sa Israel, unya nagpadala ug tawo sa bilanggoan aron sa pagkuha sa mga apostoles.
22 But the officers who came didn’t find them in the prison. They returned and reported,
Apan ang mga opisyal miadto didto sa bilanggoan ug wala silay nakaplagan, ug namalik sila ug nagsugilon,
23 “We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”
“Nakita namo ang bilanggoan nga sirado pag-ayo ug ang mga guwardiya nagbarog sa pultahan, apan sa among pag-abli niini, wala kamiy bisan usa nga nakaplagan sa sulod.”
24 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.
Karon sa dihang ang kapitan sa templo ug ang pangulo sa mga pari nakadungog niining mga pulonga, sila nalibog pag-ayo mahitungod kanila kung unsa ang mahitabo unya.
25 One came and told them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.”
Unya adunay miabot ug miingon kanila, “Ang tawo nga inyong gibutang sa bilanggoan nagbarog didto sa templo ug nagtudlo sa mga tawo.”
26 Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.
Busa ang kapitan mikuyog sa mga opisyal, ug gidala sila pagbalik, apan wala sila hilabti, kay sila mahadlok nga pagabatohon sa mga tawo.
27 When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
Sa dihang nadala na nila sila, ila silang gipalingkod sa atubangan sa konseho. Ang labaw nga pari gisukitsukit sila,
28 saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”
nga nag-ingon, “Kami hugot nga nagsugo kaninyo nga dili magtudlo niining pangalana, apan, inyong gilukop ang Jerusalem sa inyong pagtudlo, ug naninguha nga inyo kaming lambigiton sa kamatayon niining tawhana.”
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
Apan si Pedro ug ang mga apostoles mitubag, “Kinahanglan kami nga motuman sa Dios hinuon kay sa tawo.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree.
Ang Dios sa atong katigulangan nagbanhaw kang Jesus, nga inyong gipatay, pinaagi sa pagbitay sa kahoy.
31 God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.
Gibayaw siya sa Dios sa iyang tuong kamot aron mahimong Prinsipe ug Manluluwas, alang sa paghinulsol sa Israel, ug kapasayloan sa mga sala.
32 We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
Kami ang mga saksi niining mga butanga, ug ang Balaang Espiritu usab, nga gihatag sa Dios niadtong nagtuman kaniya.”
33 But they, when they heard this, were cut to the heart, and were determined to kill them.
Sa dihang nakadungog ang mga miyembro sa konseho mahitungod niini, sila naglagot ug buot nilang patyon ang mga apostoles.
34 But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the apostles out for a little while.
Apan ang Pariseo nga ginganlan ug Gamaliel, usa ka magtutudlo sa balaod, nga gipasidunggan sa tanang mga tawo, mibarog ug nagsugo nga ang mga apostoles ibutang sa gawas sa makadyot.
35 He said to them, “You men of Israel, be careful concerning these men, what you are about to do.
Unya miingon siya ngadto kanila, “Mga tawo sa Israel, hatagi ug pagtagad ang inyong gitanyag nga buhaton niining mga tawhana.
36 For before these days Theudas rose up, making himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves. He was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed and came to nothing.
Kay kaniadto nga mga kapanahonan, si Teudas mitungha nga nag-angkon nga siya inila, ug pipila ka mga tawo, miabot ug mga upat ka gatos, ang mikuyog kaniya. Gipatay siya, ug ang tanan nga sumusunod niya nagkatibulaag ug nangawala.
37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the enrollment, and drew away some people after him. He also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad.
Sunod niining tawhana, si Judas nga taga Galilea nagbarog sa adlaw sa pagpanglista ug nagdani ug mga tawo nga mokuyog kaniya. Ug siya usab namatay, ug ang tanang sumusunod kaniya nagkatibulaag.
38 Now I tell you, withdraw from these men and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of men, it will be overthrown.
Karon ako magsulti kaninyo, palayo gikan niining mga tawhana ug pasagdi sila, kung kini plano o buhat sa tawo, kini pagalaglagon.
39 But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”
Apan kung kini iya sa Dios, kamo dili makahimo sa paglaglag kanila; inyong mahibaloan nga kamo nakig-away batok sa Dios.” Busa sila nadani.
40 They agreed with him. Summoning the apostles, they beat them and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
Unya ilang gitawag ang mga apostoles pasulod ug gibulan sila ug gimandoan sila nga dili na mosulti sa ngalan ni Jesus ug gitugotan sila nga manglakaw.
41 They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus’ name.
Ilang gibiyaan ang konseho nga malipayon ug nag-isip nga takos sa pag-antos sa kaulawan alang sa Ngalan.
42 Every day, in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and preaching Jesus, the Christ.
Ug sa matag adlaw, sa templo ug sa matag kabalayan, nagpadayon sila sa pagpanudlo ug pagsangyaw nga si Jesus mao ang Cristo.
