Acts 27
1 When it was determined that we should sail for Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of the Augustan band.
ਜਲਪਥੇਨਾਸ੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਇਤੋਲਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾਯਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਤਾਯਾਂ ਸਤ੍ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਯੂਲਿਯਨਾਮ੍ਨੋ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਸ੍ਯ ਸੰਘਾਤਾਨ੍ਤਰ੍ਗਤਸ੍ਯ ਸੇਨਾਪਤੇਃ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਪੌਲੰ ਤਦਨ੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਕਤਿਨਯਜਨਾਂਸ਼੍ਚ ਸਮਾਰ੍ਪਯਨ੍|
2 Embarking in a ship of Adramyttium, which was about to sail to places on the coast of Asia, we put to sea, Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica being with us.
ਵਯਮ੍ ਆਦ੍ਰਾਮੁੱਤੀਯੰ ਪੋਤਮੇਕਮ੍ ਆਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਆਸ਼ਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਤਟਸਮੀਪੇਨ ਯਾਤੁੰ ਮਤਿੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਲਙ੍ਗਰਮ੍ ਉੱਥਾਪ੍ਯ ਪੋਤਮ੍ ਅਮੋਚਯਾਮ; ਮਾਕਿਦਨਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਥਥਿਸ਼਼ਲਨੀਕੀਨਿਵਾਸ੍ਯਾਰਿਸ੍ਤਾਰ੍ਖਨਾਮਾ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਜਨੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧਮ੍ ਆਸੀਤ੍|
3 The next day, we touched at Sidon. Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him permission to go to his friends and refresh himself.
ਪਰਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਿਵਸੇ (ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ ਸੀਦੋੰਨਗਰੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਲਾਗਿਤੇ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਯੂਲਿਯਃ ਸੇਨਾਪਤਿਃ ਪੌਲੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸੌਜਨ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰ੍ਥ੍ਯ ਸਾਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਬਨ੍ਧੁਬਾਨ੍ਧਵਾਨ੍ ਉਪਯਾਤੁਮ੍ ਅਨੁਜਜ੍ਞੌ|
4 Putting to sea from there, we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.
ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਪੋਤੇ ਮੋਚਿਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਮੁਖਵਾਯੋਃ ਸਮ੍ਭਵਾਦ੍ ਵਯੰ ਕੁਪ੍ਰੋਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਸ੍ਯ ਤੀਰਸਮੀਪੇਨ ਗਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
5 When we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.
ਕਿਲਿਕਿਯਾਯਾਃ ਪਾਮ੍ਫੂਲਿਯਾਯਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਰੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਲੂਕਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਰ੍ਗਤੰ ਮੁਰਾਨਗਰਮ੍ ਉਪਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾਮ|
6 There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.
ਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨਾਦ੍ ਇਤਾਲਿਯਾਦੇਸ਼ੰ ਗੱਛਤਿ ਯਃ ਸਿਕਨ੍ਦਰਿਯਾਨਗਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਤੰ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਸ਼ਤਸੇਨਾਪਤਿਸ੍ਤੰ ਪੋਤਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਆਰੋਹਯਤ੍|
7 When we had sailed slowly many days, and had come with difficulty opposite Cnidus, the wind not allowing us further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, opposite Salmone.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਬਹੂਨਿ ਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਸ਼ਨੈਃ ਸ਼ਨੈਃ ਰ੍ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਕ੍ਨੀਦਪਾਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਵੋਪਸ੍ਥ੍ਤਿਃ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਕੂਲੇਨ ਪਵਨੇਨ ਵਯੰ ਸਲ੍ਮੋਨ੍ਯਾਃ ਸੰਮੁਖਮ੍ ਉਪਸ੍ਥਾਯ ਕ੍ਰੀਤ੍ਯੁਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਸ੍ਯ ਤੀਰਸਮੀਪੇਨ ਗਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
8 With difficulty sailing along it we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.
ਕਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਨ ਤਮੁੱਤੀਰ੍ੱਯ ਲਾਸੇਯਾਨਗਰਸ੍ਯਾਧਃ ਸੁਨ੍ਦਰਨਾਮਕੰ ਖਾਤਮ੍ ਉਪਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਾਮ|
9 When much time had passed and the voyage was now dangerous because the Fast had now already gone by, Paul admonished them
ਇੱਥੰ ਬਹੁਤਿਥਃ ਕਾਲੋ ਯਾਪਿਤ ਉਪਵਾਸਦਿਨਞ੍ਚਾਤੀਤੰ, ਤਤ੍ਕਾਰਣਾਤ੍ ਨੌਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਮਨਿ ਭਯਙ੍ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿ ਪੌਲੋ ਵਿਨਯੇਨ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍,
10 and said to them, “Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”
ਹੇ ਮਹੇੱਛਾ ਅਹੰ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਯੰ ਜਾਨਾਮਿ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾਯਾਮਸ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਕ੍ਲੇਸ਼ਾ ਬਹੂਨਾਮਪਚਯਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਤੇ ਕੇਵਲੰ ਪੋਤਸਾਮਗ੍ਰ੍ਯੋਰਿਤਿ ਨਹਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨਾਮਪਿ|
11 But the centurion gave more heed to the master and to the owner of the ship than to those things which were spoken by Paul.
ਤਦਾ ਸ਼ਤਸੇਨਾਪਤਿਃ ਪੌਲੋਕ੍ਤਵਾਕ੍ਯਤੋਪਿ ਕਰ੍ਣਧਾਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੋਤਵਣਿਜਸ਼੍ਚ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਬਹੁਮੰਸ੍ਤ|
12 Because the haven was not suitable to winter in, the majority advised going to sea from there, if by any means they could reach Phoenix and winter there, which is a port of Crete, looking southwest and northwest.
ਤਤ੍ ਖਾਤੰ ਸ਼ੀਤਕਾਲੇ ਵਾਸਾਰ੍ਹਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਨ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਅਵਾਚੀਪ੍ਰਤੀਚੋਰ੍ਦਿਸ਼ੋਃ ਕ੍ਰੀਤ੍ਯਾਃ ਫੈਨੀਕਿਯਖਾਤੰ ਯਾਤੁੰ ਯਦਿ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਵਨ੍ਤਸ੍ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਸ਼ੀਤਕਾਲੰ ਯਾਪਯਿਤੁੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਮਨ੍ਤ੍ਰਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ|
13 When the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to shore.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਦਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਣਵਾਯੁ ਰ੍ਮਨ੍ਦੰ ਵਹਤੀਤਿ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਨਿਜਾਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯਸ੍ਯ ਸਿੱਧੇਃ ਸੁਯੋਗੋ ਭਵਤੀਤਿ ਬੁੱਧ੍ਵਾ ਪੋਤੰ ਮੋਚਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਕ੍ਰੀਤ੍ਯੁਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਸ੍ਯ ਤੀਰਸਮੀਪੇਨ ਚਲਿਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
14 But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਲ੍ਪਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਣਾਤ੍ ਪਰਮੇਵ ਉਰਕ੍ਲੁਦੋੰਨਾਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਕੂਲਃ ਪ੍ਰਚਣ੍ਡੋ ਵਾਯੁ ਰ੍ਵਹਨ੍ ਪੋਤੇ(ਅ)ਲਗੀਤ੍
15 When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
ਤਸ੍ਯਾਭਿਮੁਖੰ ਗਨ੍ਤੁਮ੍ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਤ੍ਵਾਦ੍ ਵਯੰ ਵਾਯੁਨਾ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਨੀਤਾਃ|
16 Running under the lee of a small island called Clauda, we were able, with difficulty, to secure the boat.
ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਕ੍ਲੌਦੀਨਾਮ੍ਨ ਉਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਸ੍ਯ ਕੂਲਸਮੀਪੇਨ ਪੋਤੰ ਗਮਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਬਹੁਨਾ ਕਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਨ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰਨਾਵਮ੍ ਅਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਮ|
17 After they had hoisted it up, they used cables to help reinforce the ship. Fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis sand bars, they lowered the sea anchor, and so were driven along.
ਤੇ ਤਾਮਾਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਰੱਜ੍ਚਾ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਯਾਧੋਭਾਗਮ੍ ਅਬਧ੍ਨਨ੍ ਤਦਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਚੇਤ੍ ਪੋਤੋ ਸੈਕਤੇ ਲਗਤੀਤਿ ਭਯਾਦ੍ ਵਾਤਵਸਨਾਨ੍ਯਮੋਚਯਨ੍ ਤਤਃ ਪੋਤੋ ਵਾਯੁਨਾ ਚਾਲਿਤਃ|
18 As we labored exceedingly with the storm, the next day they began to throw things overboard.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਕ੍ਰਮਸ਼ੋ ਵਾਯੋਃ ਪ੍ਰਬਲਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਪੋਤੋ ਦੋਲਾਯਮਾਨੋ(ਅ)ਭਵਤ੍ ਪਰਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਿਵਸੇ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਥਾਨਿ ਕਤਿਪਯਾਨਿ ਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਾਣਿ ਤੋਯੇ ਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਤਾਨਿ|
19 On the third day, they threw out the ship’s tackle with their own hands.
ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤੀਯਦਿਵਸੇ ਵਯੰ ਸ੍ਵਹਸ੍ਤੈਃ ਪੋਤਸੱਜਨਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਾਣਿ ਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
20 When neither sun nor stars shone on us for many days, and no small storm pressed on us, all hope that we would be saved was now taken away.
ਤਤੋ ਬਹੁਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਸੂਰ੍ੱਯਨਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤ੍ਰਾਦੀਨਿ ਸਮਾੱਛੰਨਾਨਿ ਤਤੋ (ਅ)ਤੀਵ ਵਾਤ੍ਯਾਗਮਾਦ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਯਾਃ ਕਾਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਾ ਨਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ੍|
21 When they had been long without food, Paul stood up in the middle of them and said, “Sirs, you should have listened to me, and not have set sail from Crete and have gotten this injury and loss.
ਬਹੁਦਿਨੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਲੋਕੈਰਨਾਹਾਰੇਣ ਯਾਪਿਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤ੍ ਪੌਲਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ ਅਕਥਯਤ੍, ਹੇ ਮਹੇੱਛਾਃ ਕ੍ਰੀਤ੍ਯੁਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਾਤ੍ ਪੋਤੰ ਨ ਮੋਚਯਿਤੁਮ੍ ਅਹੰ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਯਦ੍ ਅਵਦੰ ਤਦ੍ਗ੍ਰਹਣੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਉਚਿਤਮ੍ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਤਥਾ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਸ਼਼ਾ ਵਿਪਦ੍ ਏਸ਼਼ੋ(ਅ)ਪਚਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਨਾਘਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇਤਾਮ੍|
22 Now I exhort you to cheer up, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸਾਮ੍ਪ੍ਰਤੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨ੍ ਵਿਨੀਯ ਬ੍ਰਵੀਮ੍ਯਹੰ, ਯੂਯੰ ਨ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਭ੍ਯਤ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਕਸ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਿਨੋ ਹਾਨਿ ਰ੍ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਕੇਵਲਸ੍ਯ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਯ ਹਾਨਿ ਰ੍ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
23 For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,
ਯਤੋ ਯਸ੍ਯੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਲੋਕੋ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਯਞ੍ਚਾਹੰ ਪਰਿਚਰਾਮਿ ਤਦੀਯ ਏਕੋ ਦੂਤੋ ਹ੍ਯੋ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੌ ਮਮਾਨ੍ਤਿਕੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍,
24 saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’
ਹੇ ਪੌਲ ਮਾ ਭੈਸ਼਼ੀਃ ਕੈਸਰਸ੍ਯ ਸੰਮੁਖੇ ਤ੍ਵਯੋਪਸ੍ਥਾਤਵ੍ਯੰ; ਤਵੈਤਾਨ੍ ਸਙ੍ਗਿਨੋ ਲੋਕਾਨ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਤੁਭ੍ਯੰ ਦੱਤਵਾਨ੍|
25 Therefore, sirs, cheer up! For I believe God, that it will be just as it has been spoken to me.
ਅਤਏਵ ਹੇ ਮਹੇੱਛਾ ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਥਿਰਮਨਸੋ ਭਵਤ ਮਹ੍ਯੰ ਯਾ ਕਥਾਕਥਿ ਸਾਵਸ਼੍ਯੰ ਘਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਮਮੈਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤੇ,
26 But we must run aground on a certain island.”
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿਦ੍ ਉਪਦ੍ਵੀਪਸ੍ਯੋਪਰਿ ਪਤਿਤਵ੍ਯਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਃ|
27 But when the fourteenth night had come, as we were driven back and forth in the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors surmised that they were drawing near to some land.
ਤਤਃ ਪਰਮ੍ ਆਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸਮੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਤਥੈਵ ਦੋਲਾਯਮਾਨਃ ਸਨ੍ ਇਤਸ੍ਤਤੋ ਗੱਛਨ੍ ਚਤੁਰ੍ਦਸ਼ਦਿਵਸਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੇ ਰ੍ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਪ੍ਰਹਰਸਮਯੇ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿਤ੍ ਸ੍ਥਲਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪਮੁਪਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤੀਤਿ ਪੋਤੀਯਲੋਕਾ ਅਨ੍ਵਮਨ੍ਯਨ੍ਤ|
28 They took soundings and found twenty fathoms. After a little while, they took soundings again, and found fifteen fathoms.
ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਜਲੰ ਪਰਿਮਾਯ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਵਿੰਸ਼ਤਿ ਰ੍ਵ੍ਯਾਮਾ ਜਲਾਨੀਤਿ ਜ੍ਞਾਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ| ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿੱਦੂਰੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਜਲੰ ਪਰਿਮਿਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ| ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪਞ੍ਚਦਸ਼ ਵ੍ਯਾਮਾ ਜਲਾਨਿ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ
29 Fearing that we would run aground on rocky ground, they let go four anchors from the stern, and wished for daylight.
ਚੇਤ੍ ਪਾਸ਼਼ਾਣੇ ਲਗਤੀਤਿ ਭਯਾਤ੍ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ਭਾਗਤਸ਼੍ਚਤੁਰੋ ਲਙ੍ਗਰਾਨ੍ ਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਯ ਦਿਵਾਕਰਮ੍ ਅਪੇਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਸ੍ਥਿਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
30 As the sailors were trying to flee out of the ship and had lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they would lay out anchors from the bow,
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪੋਤੀਯਲੋਕਾਃ ਪੋਤਾਗ੍ਰਭਾਗੇ ਲਙ੍ਗਰਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਪੰ ਛਲੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਜਲਧੌ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰਨਾਵਮ੍ ਅਵਰੋਹ੍ਯ ਪਲਾਯਿਤੁਮ੍ ਅਚੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਨ੍ਤ|
31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, “Unless these stay in the ship, you can’t be saved.”
ਤਤਃ ਪੌਲਃ ਸੇਨਾਪਤਯੇ ਸੈਨ੍ਯਗਣਾਯ ਚ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਏਤੇ ਯਦਿ ਪੋਤਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਨ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਣੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਯੰ|
32 Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the boat and let it fall off.
ਤਦਾ ਸੇਨਾਗਣੋ ਰੱਜੂਨ੍ ਛਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਨਾਵੰ ਜਲੇ ਪਤਿਤੁਮ੍ ਅਦਦਾਤ੍|
33 While the day was coming on, Paul begged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you wait and continue fasting, having taken nothing.
ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤਸਮਯੇ ਪੌਲਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਨ੍ ਜਨਾਨ੍ ਭੋਜਨਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥ੍ਯ ਵ੍ਯਾਹਰਤ੍, ਅਦ੍ਯ ਚਤੁਰ੍ਦਸ਼ਦਿਨਾਨਿ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਯੂਯਮ੍ ਅਪੇਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਾਨਾ ਅਨਾਹਾਰਾਃ ਕਾਲਮ੍ ਅਯਾਪਯਤ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਨਾਭੁੰਗ੍ਧੰ|
34 Therefore I beg you to take some food, for this is for your safety; for not a hair will perish from any of your heads.”
ਅਤੋ ਵਿਨਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਭਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯੰ ਭੁਜ੍ਯਤਾਂ ਤਤੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਙ੍ਗਲੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿੱਜਨਸ੍ਯ ਸ਼ਿਰਸਃ ਕੇਸ਼ੈਕੋਪਿ ਨ ਨੰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
35 When he had said this and had taken bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all; then he broke it and began to eat.
ਇਤਿ ਵ੍ਯਾਹ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਪੌਲੰ ਪੂਪੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੀਤ੍ਵੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਭਾਸ਼਼ਮਾਣਸ੍ਤੰ ਭੰਕ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਭੋਕ੍ਤੁਮ੍ ਆਰਬ੍ਧਵਾਨ੍|
36 Then they all cheered up, and they also took food.
ਅਨਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਚ ਸੁਸ੍ਥਿਰਾਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਃ ਖਾਦ੍ਯਾਨਿ ਪਰ੍ਪ੍ਯਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍|
37 In all, we were two hundred seventy-six souls on the ship.
ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਪੋਤੇ ਸ਼਼ਟ੍ਸਪ੍ਤਤ੍ਯਧਿਕਸ਼ਤਦ੍ਵਯਲੋਕਾ ਆਸਨ੍|
38 When they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.
ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਲੋਕੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਯਥੇਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਭੁਕ੍ਤਵਤ੍ਸੁ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਥਨ੍ ਗੋਧੂਮਾਨ੍ ਜਲਧੌ ਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਯ ਤੈਃ ਪੋਤਸ੍ਯ ਭਾਰੋ ਲਘੂਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਃ|
39 When it was day, they didn’t recognize the land, but they noticed a certain bay with a beach, and they decided to try to drive the ship onto it.
ਦਿਨੇ ਜਾਤੇ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਸ ਕੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਇਤਿ ਤਦਾ ਨ ਪਰ੍ੱਯਚੀਯਤ; ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਤਟਮ੍ ਏਕੰ ਖਾਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਯਦਿ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਮਸ੍ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਵਯੰ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਭ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਰੰ ਪੋਤੰ ਗਮਯਾਮ ਇਤਿ ਮਤਿੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਤੇ ਲਙ੍ਗਰਾਨ੍ ਛਿੱਤ੍ਵਾ ਜਲਧੌ ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
40 Casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea, at the same time untying the rudder ropes. Hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
ਤਥਾ ਕਰ੍ਣਬਨ੍ਧਨੰ ਮੋਚਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨੰ ਵਾਤਵਸਨਮ੍ ਉੱਤੋਲ੍ਯ ਤੀਰਸਮੀਪੰ ਗਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
41 But coming to a place where two seas met, they ran the vessel aground. The bow struck and remained immovable, but the stern began to break up by the violence of the waves.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਦ੍ਵਯੋਃ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰਯੋਃ ਸਙ੍ਗਮਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਸੈਕਤੋਪਰਿ ਪੋਤੇ ਨਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਪ੍ਤੇ (ਅ)ਗ੍ਰਭਾਗੇ ਬਾਧਿਤੇ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ਭਾਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਲਤਰਙ੍ਗੋ(ਅ)ਲਗਤ੍ ਤੇਨ ਪੋਤੋ ਭਗ੍ਨਃ|
42 The soldiers’ counsel was to kill the prisoners, so that none of them would swim out and escape.
ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਬਨ੍ਦਯਸ਼੍ਚੇਦ੍ ਬਾਹੁਭਿਸ੍ਤਰਨ੍ਤਃ ਪਲਾਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਇਤ੍ਯਾਸ਼ਙ੍ਕਯਾ ਸੇਨਾਗਣਸ੍ਤਾਨ੍ ਹਨ੍ਤੁਮ੍ ਅਮਨ੍ਤ੍ਰਯਤ੍;
43 But the centurion, desiring to save Paul, stopped them from their purpose, and commanded that those who could swim should throw themselves overboard first to go toward the land;
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ਼ਤਸੇਨਾਪਤਿਃ ਪੌਲੰ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੁੰ ਪ੍ਰਯਤ੍ਨੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਾਨ੍ ਤੱਚੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਾਯਾ ਨਿਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਯ ਇਤ੍ਯਾਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨ੍, ਯੇ ਬਾਹੁਤਰਣੰ ਜਾਨਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਗ੍ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੋੱਲਮ੍ਪ੍ਯ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਪਤਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਬਾਹੁਭਿਸ੍ਤੀਰ੍ੱਤ੍ਵਾ ਕੂਲੰ ਯਾਨ੍ਤੁ|
44 and the rest should follow, some on planks and some on other things from the ship. So they all escaped safely to the land.
ਅਪਰਮ੍ ਅਵਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਾ ਜਨਾਃ ਕਾਸ਼਼੍ਠੰ ਪੋਤੀਯੰ ਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯੰ ਵਾ ਯੇਨ ਯਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਤੇ ਤਦਵਲਮ੍ਬ੍ਯ ਯਾਨ੍ਤੁ; ਇੱਥੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਭੂਮਿੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੈ ਰ੍ਜੀਵਿਤਾਃ|
