< Acts 26 >

1 Agrippa said to Paul, “You may speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand, and made his defense.
تَتَ آگْرِپَّح پَولَمْ اَوادِیتْ، نِجاں کَتھاں کَتھَیِتُں تُبھْیَمْ اَنُمَتِ رْدِییَتے۔ تَسْماتْ پَولَح کَرَں پْرَسارْیَّ سْوَسْمِنْ اُتَّرَمْ اَوادِیتْ۔
2 “I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am to make my defense before you today concerning all the things that I am accused by the Jews,
ہے آگْرِپَّراجَ یَتْکارَنادَہَں یِہُودِییَیرَپَوادِتو بھَوَں تَسْیَ ورِتّانْتَمْ اَدْیَ بھَوَتَح ساکْشانْ نِویدَیِتُمَنُمَتوہَمْ اِدَں سْوِییَں پَرَمَں بھاگْیَں مَنْیے؛
3 especially because you are expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews. Therefore I beg you to hear me patiently.
یَتو یِہُودِییَلوکاناں مَدھْیے یا یا رِیتِح سُوکْشْمَوِچاراشْچَ سَنْتِ تیشُ بھَوانْ وِجْنَتَمَح؛ اَتَایوَ پْرارْتھَیے دھَیرْیَّمَوَلَمْبْیَ مَمَ نِویدَنَں شرِنوتُ۔
4 “Indeed, all the Jews know my way of life from my youth up, which was from the beginning among my own nation and at Jerusalem;
اَہَں یِرُوشالَمْنَگَرے سْوَدیشِییَلوکاناں مَدھْیے تِشْٹھَنْ آ یَووَنَکالادْ یَدْرُوپَمْ آچَرِتَوانْ تَدْ یِہُودِییَلوکاح سَرْوّے وِدَنْتِ۔
5 having known me from the first, if they are willing to testify, that after the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
اَسْماکَں سَرْوّیبھْیَح شُدّھَتَمَں یَتْ پھِرُوشِییَمَتَں تَدَوَلَمْبِی بھُوتْواہَں کالَں یاپِتَوانْ یے جَنا آ بالْیَکالانْ ماں جانانْتِ تے ایتادرِشَں ساکْشْیَں یَدِ دَداتِ تَرْہِ داتُں شَکْنُوَنْتِ۔
6 Now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,
کِنْتُ ہے آگْرِپَّراجَ اِیشْوَروسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشاناں نِکَٹے یَدْ اَنْگِیکرِتَوانْ تَسْیَ پْرَتْیاشاہیتورَہَمْ اِدانِیں وِچارَسْتھانے دَنْڈایَمانوسْمِ۔
7 which our twelve tribes, earnestly serving night and day, hope to attain. Concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa!
تَسْیانْگِیکارَسْیَ پھَلَں پْراپْتُمْ اَسْماکَں دْوادَشَوَںشا دِوانِشَں مَہایَتْنادْ اِیشْوَرَسیوَنَں کرِتْوا یاں پْرَتْیاشاں کُرْوَّنْتِ تَسْیاح پْرَتْیاشایا ہیتورَہَں یِہُودِییَیرَپَوادِتوبھَوَمْ۔
8 Why is it judged incredible with you if God does raise the dead?
اِیشْوَرو مرِتانْ اُتّھاپَیِشْیَتِیتِ واکْیَں یُشْماکَں نِکَٹےسَمْبھَوَں کُتو بھَویتْ؟
9 “I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
ناسَرَتِییَیِیشو رْنامْنو وِرُدّھَں ناناپْرَکارَپْرَتِکُولاچَرَنَمْ اُچِتَمْ اِتْیَہَں مَنَسِ یَتھارْتھَں وِجْنایَ
10 I also did this in Jerusalem. I both shut up many of the saints in prisons, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my vote against them.
یِرُوشالَمَنَگَرے تَدَکَرَوَں پھَلَتَح پْرَدھانَیاجَکَسْیَ نِکَٹاتْ کْشَمَتاں پْراپْیَ بَہُونْ پَوِتْرَلوکانْ کارایاں بَدّھَوانْ وِشیشَتَسْتیشاں ہَنَنَسَمَیے تیشاں وِرُدّھاں نِجاں سَمَّتِں پْرَکاشِتَوانْ۔
11 Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
وارَں وارَں بھَجَنَبھَوَنیشُ تیبھْیو دَنْڈَں پْرَدَتَّوانْ بَلاتْ تَں دھَرْمَّں نِنْدَیِتَواںشْچَ پُنَشْچَ تانْ پْرَتِ مَہاکْرودھادْ اُنْمَتَّح سَنْ وِدیشِییَنَگَرانِ یاوَتْ تانْ تاڈِتَوانْ۔
12 “Whereupon as I traveled to Damascus with the authority and commission from the chief priests,
اِتّھَں پْرَدھانَیاجَکَسْیَ سَمِیپاتْ شَکْتِمْ آجْناپَتْرَنْچَ لَبْدھْوا دَمّیشَکْنَگَرَں گَتَوانْ۔
13 at noon, O king, I saw on the way a light from the sky, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.
تَداہَں ہے راجَنْ مارْگَمَدھْیے مَدھْیاہْنَکالے مَمَ مَدِییَسَنْگِناں لوکانانْچَ چَتَسرِشُ دِکْشُ گَگَناتْ پْرَکاشَماناں بھاسْکَرَتوپِ تیجَسْوَتِیں دِیپْتِں درِشْٹَوانْ۔
14 When we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’
تَسْمادْ اَسْماسُ سَرْوّیشُ بھُومَو پَتِتیشُ سَتْسُ ہے شَولَ ہَے شَولَ کُتو ماں تاڈَیَسِ؟ کَنْٹَکاناں مُکھے پاداہَنَنَں تَوَ دُحسادھْیَمْ اِبْرِییَبھاشَیا گَدِتَ ایتادرِشَ ایکَح شَبْدو مَیا شْرُتَح۔
15 “I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
تَداہَں پرِشْٹَوانْ ہے پْرَبھو کو بھَوانْ؟ تَتَح سَ کَتھِتَوانْ یَں یِیشُں تْوَں تاڈَیَسِ سوہَں،
16 But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will reveal to you;
کِنْتُ سَمُتِّشْٹھَ تْوَں یَدْ درِشْٹَوانْ اِتَح پُنَنْچَ یَدْیَتْ تْواں دَرْشَیِشْیامِ تیشاں سَرْوّیشاں کارْیّاناں تْواں ساکْشِنَں مَمَ سیوَکَنْچَ کَرْتُّمْ دَرْشَنَمْ اَدامْ۔
17 delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,
وِشیشَتو یِہُودِییَلوکیبھْیو بھِنَّجاتِیییبھْیَشْچَ تْواں مَنونِیتَں کرِتْوا تیشاں یَتھا پاپَموچَنَں بھَوَتِ
18 to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
یَتھا تے مَیِ وِشْوَسْیَ پَوِتْرِیکرِتاناں مَدھْیے بھاگَں پْراپْنُوَنْتِ تَدَبھِپْرایینَ تیشاں جْنانَچَکْشُوںشِ پْرَسَنّانِ کَرْتُّں تَتھانْدھَکارادْ دِیپْتِں پْرَتِ شَیتانادھِکاراچَّ اِیشْوَرَں پْرَتِ مَتِیح پَراوَرْتَّیِتُں تیشاں سَمِیپَں تْواں پْریشْیامِ۔
19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,
ہے آگْرِپَّراجَ ایتادرِشَں سْوَرْگِییَپْرَتْیادیشَں اَگْراہْیَمْ اَکرِتْواہَں
20 but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
پْرَتھَمَتو دَمّیشَکْنَگَرے تَتو یِرُوشالَمِ سَرْوَّسْمِنْ یِہُودِییَدیشے اَنْییشُ دیشیشُ چَ یےنَ لوکا مَتِں پَراوَرْتّیَ اِیشْوَرَں پْرَتِ پَراوَرْتَّیَنْتے، مَنَحپَراوَرْتَّنَیوگْیانِ کَرْمّانِ چَ کُرْوَّنْتِ تادرِشَمْ اُپَدیشَں پْرَچارِتَوانْ۔
21 For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.
ایتَتْکارَنادْ یِہُودِییا مَدھْییمَنْدِرَں ماں دھرِتْوا ہَنْتُمْ اُدْیَتاح۔
22 Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,
تَتھاپِ کھْرِیشْٹو دُحکھَں بھُکْتْوا سَرْوّیشاں پُورْوَّں شْمَشانادْ اُتّھایَ نِجَدیشِییاناں بھِنَّدیشِییانانْچَ سَمِیپے دِیپْتِں پْرَکاشَیِشْیَتِ
23 how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”
بھَوِشْیَدْوادِگَنو مُوساشْچَ بھاوِکارْیَّسْیَ یَدِدَں پْرَمانَمْ اَدَدُریتَدْ وِنانْیاں کَتھاں نَ کَتھَیِتْوا اِیشْوَرادْ اَنُگْرَہَں لَبْدھْوا مَہَتاں کْشُدْرانانْچَ سَرْوّیشاں سَمِیپے پْرَمانَں دَتّوادْیَ یاوَتْ تِشْٹھامِ۔
24 As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!”
تَسْیَماں کَتھاں نِشَمْیَ پھِیشْٹَ اُچَّیح سْوَرینَ کَتھِتَوانْ ہے پَولَ تْوَمْ اُنْمَتّوسِ بَہُوِدْیابھْیاسینَ تْوَں ہَتَجْنانو جاتَح۔
25 But he said, “I am not crazy, most excellent Festus, but boldly declare words of truth and reasonableness.
سَ اُکْتَوانْ ہے مَہامَہِمَ پھِیشْٹَ ناہَمْ اُنْمَتَّح کِنْتُ سَتْیَں وِویچَنِییَنْچَ واکْیَں پْرَسْتَومِ۔
26 For the king knows of these things, to whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him, for this has not been done in a corner.
یَسْیَ ساکْشادْ اَکْشوبھَح سَنْ کَتھاں کَتھَیامِ سَ راجا تَدْورِتّانْتَں جاناتِ تَسْیَ سَمِیپے کِمَپِ گُپْتَں نیتِ مَیا نِشْچِتَں بُدھْیَتے یَتَسْتَدْ وِجَنے نَ کرِتَں۔
27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”
ہے آگْرِپَّراجَ بھَوانْ کِں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِگَنوکْتانِ واکْیانِ پْرَتْییتِ؟ بھَوانْ پْرَتْییتِ تَدَہَں جانامِ۔
28 Agrippa said to Paul, “With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?”
تَتَ آگْرِپَّح پَولَمْ اَبھِہِتَوانْ تْوَں پْرَورِتِّں جَنَیِتْوا پْرایینَ مامَپِ کھْرِیشْٹِییَں کَروشِ۔
29 Paul said, “I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”
تَتَح سووادِیتْ بھَوانْ یے یے لوکاشْچَ مَمَ کَتھامْ اَدْیَ شرِنْوَنْتِ پْرایینَ اِتِ نَہِ کِنْتْویتَتْ شرِنْکھَلَبَنْدھَنَں وِنا سَرْوَّتھا تے سَرْوّے مادرِشا بھَوَنْتْوِتِیشْوَسْیَ سَمِیپے پْرارْتھَیےہَمْ۔
30 The king rose up with the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them.
ایتَسْیاں کَتھایاں کَتھِتایاں سَ راجا سودھِپَتِ رْبَرْنِیکِی سَبھاسْتھا لوکاشْچَ تَسْمادْ اُتّھایَ
31 When they had withdrawn, they spoke to one another, saying, “This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.”
گوپَنے پَرَسْپَرَں وِوِچْیَ کَتھِتَوَنْتَ ایشَ جَنو بَنْدھَنارْہَں پْرانَہَنَنارْہَں وا کِمَپِ کَرْمَّ ناکَروتْ۔
32 Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”
تَتَ آگْرِپَّح پھِیشْٹَمْ اَوَدَتْ، یَدْییشَ مانُشَح کَیسَرَسْیَ نِکَٹے وِچارِتو بھَوِتُں نَ پْرارْتھَیِشْیَتْ تَرْہِ مُکْتو بھَوِتُمْ اَشَکْشْیَتْ۔
