Acts 21
1 When we had departed from them and had set sail, we came with a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.
१त्यांचा निरोप घेतल्यानंतर आम्ही समुद्रमार्गे निघालो आणि सरळ प्रवास करीत कोस बेटास आलो, दुसऱ्या दिवशी आम्ही रुद बेटास गेलो, तेथून आम्ही पातरा शहरास गेलो.
2 Having found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, we went aboard and set sail.
२तेथे फेनीकेला जाणारे जहाज आम्हास आढळले, तेव्हा आम्ही जहाजात बसून पुढे निघालो.
3 When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for the ship was there to unload her cargo.
३तेव्हा कुप्र आमच्या नजरेत आले, परंतु ते डाव्या अंगाला टाकून आम्ही सरळ सिरीया प्रांताला रवाना झालो व सोर येथे उतरलो, कारण तेथे जहाजातील माल उतरावयाचा होता.
4 Having found disciples, we stayed there seven days. These said to Paul through the Spirit that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
४तेथे येशूचे काही शिष्य आम्हास आढळले आणि आम्ही त्यांच्याबरोबर सात दिवस राहिलो, पवित्र आत्म्याच्या सूचनेवरून त्यांनी पौलाला असे सांगितले की, त्याने यरूशलेम शहरास जाऊ नये.
5 When those days were over, we departed and went on our journey. They all, with wives and children, brought us on our way until we were out of the city. Kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.
५आमच्या भेटीचे दिवस संपत आल्यावर आम्ही तेथून निघून आमचा पुढील प्रवास परत सुरू केला, त्यावेळी तेथील बंधुजन आपल्या पत्नी, मुलांच्याबरोबर आमच्यासह शहराबाहेर आले व तेथील समुद्रकिनाऱ्यावर आम्ही गुडघे टेकले व प्रार्थना केली.
6 After saying goodbye to each other, we went on board the ship, and they returned home again.
६मग एकमेकांचा निरोप घेऊन आम्ही जहाजात बसलो व ते लोक आपापल्या घरी गेले.
7 When we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais. We greeted the brothers and stayed with them one day.
७सोरापासून आम्ही आमचा प्रवास सुरू केला व पोलेमा येथे उतरलो आणि तेथील बंधुजनांना भेटलो, त्यांच्याबरोबर एक दिवस राहिलो.
8 On the next day, we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea. We entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.
८आणि दुसऱ्या दिवशी निघून आम्ही कैसरीयास आलो व सुवार्तिक फिलिप्प याच्या घरी जाऊन राहिलो, तो निवडलेल्या सात सेवकांपैकी एक होता.
9 Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.
९त्यास चार मुली होत्या, त्यांची लग्ने झालेली नव्हती, या मुलींना देवाच्या गोष्टी सांगण्याचे दान होते.
10 As we stayed there some days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.
१०त्या बंधूच्या बरोबर बरेच दिवस राहिल्यावर अगब नावाचा संदेष्टा यहूदीयाहून तेथे आला.
11 Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”
११त्याने आमची भेट घेऊन पौलाच्या कमरेचा पट्टा मागून घेतला, त्याने स्वतःचे हात व पाय बांधले आणि तो म्हणाला, “पवित्र आत्मा असे म्हणतो; हा पट्टा ज्या मनुष्याच्या कमरेचा आहे, त्यास यरूशलेम शहरातील यहूदी लोक असेच बांधतील व परराष्ट्रीयांच्या हाती देतील.”
12 When we heard these things, both we and the people of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.
१२आम्ही व तेथील सर्वांनी ते शब्द ऐकले, तेव्हा आम्ही व इतर लोकांनी पौलाला कळकळीची विनंती केली की, त्याने यरूशलेम शहरास जाऊ नये.
13 Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
१३पण पौल म्हणाला, “तुम्ही हे काय करीत आहा, असे रडून तुम्ही माझे मन खचवीत आहात काय? मी फक्त बांधून घेण्यासाठी नव्हे तर प्रभू येशूच्या नावासाठी यरूशलेम शहरामध्ये मरायलादेखील तयार आहे.”
14 When he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, “The Lord’s will be done.”
१४यरूशलेम शहरापासून दूर राहण्यासाठी आम्ही त्याचे मन वळवू शकलो नाही, म्हणून आम्ही त्यास विनंती करायची सोडली आणि म्हटले, “प्रभूच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे होवो.”
15 After these days we took up our baggage and went up to Jerusalem.
१५त्यानंतर आम्ही तयार झालो आणि यरूशलेमे शहरास निघालो.
16 Some of the disciples from Caesarea also went with us, bringing one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we would stay.
१६कैसरीया येथील येशूचे काही शिष्य आमच्याबरोबर आले आणि आम्हास म्नासोन नावाच्या व्यक्तीकडे घेऊन गेले, कारण त्याच्याकडेच आम्ही राहणार होतो, तो कुप्रचा असून सुरुवातीच्या काळात प्रथम शिष्य झालेल्यांपैकी एक होता.
17 When we had come to Jerusalem, the brothers received us gladly.
१७आम्ही जेव्हा यरूशलेम शहरास पोहचलो, तेव्हा तेथील बंधुजनांनी मोठ्या आनंदाने आमचे स्वागत केले.
18 The day following, Paul went in with us to James; and all the elders were present.
१८दुसऱ्या दिवशी पौल आमच्यासह याकोबाला भेटायला आला, तेव्हा सर्व वडीलजन हजर होते.
19 When he had greeted them, he reported one by one the things which God had worked among the Gentiles through his ministry.
१९पौल त्यांना भेटला, नंतर त्याच्या हातून देवाने परराष्ट्रीय लोकात कशीकशी सेवा करून घेतली, याविषयी क्रमवार सविस्तर माहिती सांगितली.
20 They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.
२०जेव्हा त्यांनी हे ऐकले तेव्हा त्यांनी देवाचा गौरव केला आणि ते त्यास म्हणाले, “बंधू, तू पाहशील की हजारो यहूदी विश्वास ठेवणारे झालेत, पण त्यांना असे वाटते की, मोशेचे नियम पाळणे फार महत्त्वाचे आहे.
21 They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children and not to walk after the customs.
२१या यहूदी लोकांनी तुझ्याविषयी ऐकले आहे की, जे यहूदी इतर देशात राहतात त्यांना तू मोशेचे नियम पाळू नका असे सांगतोस, तसेच आपल्या मुलांची सुंता करू नका असे सांगतो व आपल्या चालीरीती पाळू नका असे सांगतो.
22 What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.
२२मग आता काय केले पाहिजे? तू येथे आला आहेस हे त्यांना नक्की कळेल.
23 Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow.
२३तेव्हा आता आम्ही सांगतो तसे कर; आमच्यातील चार लोकांनी नवस केला आहे.
24 Take them and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the law.
२४त्या चौघांना घे व स्वतःचे त्यांच्यासह शुद्धीकरण करून घे, त्या चौघांना त्यांच्या डोक्याचे मुंडण करता यावे म्हणून त्यांचा खर्च तू कर, मग सर्वांना हे समजेल की, त्यांनी जे काही तुझ्याबद्दल ऐकले आहे ते खरे नाही, उलट तू नियमशास्त्राचे पालन करतोस हे दिसेल.
25 But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”
२५जे परराष्ट्रीय विश्वास ठेवणारे आहेत त्यांना आम्ही पत्र लिहिले आहे, ते असे, मूर्तीला वाहिलेले अन्न त्यांनी खाऊ नये, रक्त अगर गुदमरून मारलेले प्राणी त्यांनी खाऊ व जारकर्म करू नये.”
26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purified himself and went with them into the temple, declaring the fulfillment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.
२६मग पौलानेच त्या चार लोकांस आपल्याबरोबर घेतले, दुसऱ्या दिवशी शुद्धीकरणाच्या विधीमध्ये तो सहभागी झाला, मग तो परमेश्वराच्या भवनात गेला, शुद्धीकरणाचे दिवस केव्हा संपतील हे जाहीर केले, शेवटच्या दिवशी प्रत्येकासाठी अर्पण देण्यात येईल.
27 When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the multitude and laid hands on him,
२७सात दिवस जवळ जवळ संपत आले होते, परंतु आशियातील काही यहूदी लोकांनी पौलाला परमेश्वराच्या भवनात पाहिले, त्यांनी लोकांस भडकाविले व पौलाला धरले.
28 crying out, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. Moreover, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place!”
२८ते मोठ्याने ओरडून म्हणाले, “इस्राएलाच्या लोकांनो, मदत करा! हाच तो मनुष्य आहे, जो सर्व लोकांस सगळीकडे आपल्या लोकांविरुद्ध आपल्या नियमांविरुद्ध व या जागेबद्दल शिकवीत आहे आणि आता त्याने ग्रीक लोकांस देखील परमेश्वराच्या भवनात आणले आहे आणि ही पवित्र जागा विटाळविली आहे.”
29 For they had seen Trophimus the Ephesian, with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
२९ते असे म्हणाले, कारण इफिसच्या त्रफिमला त्यांनी पौलाबरोबर यरूशलेम शहरातील पाहिले होते, त्रफिम यहूदी नव्हता, तो ग्रीक होता, लोकांस वाटले, पौलानेच त्यास परमेश्वराच्या भवनात नेले आहे.
30 All the city was moved and the people ran together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple. Immediately the doors were shut.
३०सर्व शहर खवळून उठले, सगळे लोक धावू लागले, त्यांनी पौलाला पकडले व परमेश्वराच्या भवनातून बाहेर ओढून काढले, लगेच दरवाजे बंद करण्यात आली.
31 As they were trying to kill him, news came up to the commanding officer of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
३१ते त्यास ठार मारण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत असतानाच रोमी सैन्याच्या सरदाराकडे बातमी गेली की, सगळ्या यरूशलेम शहरात सगळीकडे गोंधळ उडालेला आहे.
32 Immediately he took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. They, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, stopped beating Paul.
३२ताबडतोब त्याने काही शिपाई व काही शताधिपती घेतले व तो यहूदी जेथे पौलाला मारीत होते, तेथे धावत गेला, जेव्हा यहूदी लोकांनी रोमी सरदाराला व सैन्याला पाहिले तेव्हा त्यांनी पौलाला मारण्याचे थांबविले.
33 Then the commanding officer came near, arrested him, commanded him to be bound with two chains, and inquired who he was and what he had done.
३३मग सरदार पौलाकडे आला व त्यास अटक केली व त्यास साखळ्यांनी बांधण्याची आज्ञा दिली, मग सरदाराने पौल कोण आहे व त्याने काय केले आहे याविषयी विचारले.
34 Some shouted one thing and some another, among the crowd. When he couldn’t find out the truth because of the noise, he commanded him to be brought into the barracks.
३४गर्दीतून वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारचे आवाज ऐकू येऊ लागले, गोंधळामुळे व ओरडण्यामुळे सरदारला सत्य काय आहे हे जाणून घेता येईना, म्हणून सरदाराने शिपायांना हुकूम दिला की, पौलाला इमारतीत घेऊन जावे.
35 When he came to the stairs, he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd;
३५जेव्हा पौल इमारतीच्या पायऱ्यांजवळ आला तेव्हा शिपायांना त्यास उचलून आत न्यावे लागले.
36 for the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, “Away with him!”
३६कारण जमाव हिंसक बनत चालला होता, जमाव त्याच्यामागे चालला होता व ओरडत होता, “त्याला जिवे मारा.”
37 As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he asked the commanding officer, “May I speak to you?” He said, “Do you know Greek?
३७शिपाई पौलाला इमारतीत घेऊन जाणार इतक्यात पौल सरदाराला म्हणाला, “मी काही बोलू शकतो काय?” तो सरदार म्हणाला, “तुला ग्रीक बोलता येते काय?
38 Aren’t you then the Egyptian who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?”
३८मग मला वाटते, तो मनुष्य तू नाहीस, मला वाटले ज्या मिसरी मजुराने काही दिवसांपूर्वी बंड करून सरकारला त्रास देण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, तोच तू आहेस, त्या मिसरी मनुष्यांने चार हजार दहशतवाद्यांना अरण्यात नेले.”
39 But Paul said, “I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city. I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”
३९पौल म्हणाला, “किलकिया प्रांतातील तार्सस नगरात राहणारा मी एक यहूदी आहे, मी एका महत्त्वाच्या शहराचा नागरिक आहे, मी तुम्हास विनवितो, मला लोकांशी बोलू द्या.”
40 When he had given him permission, Paul, standing on the stairs, beckoned with his hand to the people. When there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, saying,
४०जेव्हा सरदाराने त्यास बोलण्याची परवानगी दिली तेव्हा तो पायऱ्यांवर उभा राहिला आणि आपल्या हाताने त्याने लोकांस शांत राहण्यास सांगितले, जेव्हा सगळीकडे शांतता पसरली तेव्हा पौल इब्री भाषेत बोलू लागला.
