3 John 1

1 The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth.

ปฺราจีโน 'หํ สตฺยมตาทฺ ยสฺมินฺ ปฺรีเย ตํ ปฺริยตมํ คายํ ปฺรติ ปตฺรํ ลิขามิฯ

2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.

เห ปฺริย, ตวาตฺมา ยาทฺฤกฺ ศุภานฺวิตสฺตาทฺฤกฺ สรฺวฺววิษเย ตว ศุภํ สฺวาสฺถฺยญฺจ ภูยาตฺฯ

3 For I rejoiced greatly when brothers came and testified about your truth, even as you walk in truth.

ภฺราตฺฤภิราคตฺย ตว สตฺยมตสฺยารฺถตสฺตฺวํ กีทฺฤกฺ สตฺยมตมาจรเสฺยตสฺย สากฺเษฺย ทตฺเต มม มหานนฺโท ชาต: ฯ

4 I have no greater joy than this: to hear about my children walking in truth.

มม สนฺตานา: สตฺยมตมาจรนฺตีติวารฺตฺตาโต มม ย อานนฺโท ชายเต ตโต มหตฺตโร นาสฺติฯ

5 Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers.

เห ปฺริย, ภฺราตฺฤนฺ ปฺรติ วิเศษตสฺตานฺ วิเทศิโน ภฺฤตฺฤนฺ ปฺรติ ตฺวยา ยทฺยตฺ กฺฤตํ ตตฺ สรฺวฺวํ วิศฺวาสิโน โยคฺยํฯ

6 They have testified about your love before the assembly. You will do well to send them forward on their journey in a way worthy of God,

เต จ สมิเต: สากฺษาตฺ ตว ปฺรมฺน: ปฺรมาณํ ทตฺตวนฺต: , อปรมฺ อีศฺวรโยคฺยรูเปณ ตานฺ ปฺรสฺถาปยตา ตฺวยา สตฺกรฺมฺม การิษฺยเตฯ

7 because for the sake of the Name they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles.

ยตเสฺต ตสฺย นามฺนา ยาตฺรำ วิธาย ภินฺนชาตีเยภฺย: กิมปิ น คฺฤหีตวนฺต: ฯ

8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellow workers for the truth.

ตสฺมาทฺ วยํ ยตฺ สตฺยมตสฺย สหายา ภเวม ตทรฺถเมตาทฺฤศา โลกา อสฺมาภิรนุคฺรหีตวฺยา: ฯ

9 I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, doesn’t accept what we say.

สมิตึ ปฺรตฺยหํ ปตฺรํ ลิขิตวานฺ กินฺตุ เตษำ มเธฺย โย ทิยตฺริผิ: ปฺรธานายเต โส 'สฺมานฺ น คฺฤหฺลาติฯ

10 Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words. Not content with this, he doesn’t receive the brothers himself, and those who would, he forbids and throws out of the assembly.

อโต 'หํ ยโทปสฺถาสฺยามิ ตทา เตน ยทฺยตฺ กฺริยเต ตตฺ สรฺวฺวํ ตํ สฺมารยิษฺยามิ, ยต: ส ทุรฺวฺวาไกฺยรสฺมานฺ อปวทติ, เตนาปิ ตฺฤปฺตึ น คตฺวา สฺวยมปิ ภฺราตฺฤนฺ นานุคฺฤหฺลาติ เย จานุคฺรหีตุมิจฺฉนฺติ ตานฺ สมิติโต 'ปิ พหิษฺกโรติฯ

11 Beloved, don’t imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil hasn’t seen God.

เห ปฺริย, ตฺวยา ทุษฺกรฺมฺม นานุกฺริยตำ กินฺตุ สตฺกรฺมฺไมวฯ ย: สตฺกรฺมฺมาจารี ส อีศฺวราตฺ ชาต: , โย ทุษฺกรฺมฺมาจารี ส อีศฺวรํ น ทฺฤษฺฏวานฺฯ

12 Demetrius has the testimony of all, and of the truth itself; yes, we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.

ทีมีตฺริยสฺย ปกฺเษ สรฺไวฺว: สากฺษฺยมฺ อทายิ วิเศษต: สตฺยมเตนาปิ, วยมปิ ตตฺปกฺเษ สากฺษฺยํ ททฺม: , อสฺมากญฺจ สากฺษฺยํ สตฺยเมเวติ ยูยํ ชานีถฯ

13 I had many things to write to you, but I am unwilling to write to you with ink and pen;

ตฺวำ ปฺรติ มยา พหูนิ เลขิตวฺยานิ กินฺตุ มสีเลขนีภฺยำ เลขิตุํ เนจฺฉามิฯ

14 but I hope to see you soon. Then we will speak face to face. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.

อจิเรณ ตฺวำ ทฺรกฺษฺยามีติ มม ปฺรตฺยาศาเสฺต ตทาวำ สมฺมุขีภูย ปรสฺปรํ สมฺภาษิษฺยาวเหฯ ตว ศานฺติ รฺภูยาตฺฯ อสฺมากํ มิตฺราณิ ตฺวำ นมสฺการํ ชฺญาปยนฺติ ตฺวมเปฺยไกกสฺย นาม โปฺรจฺย มิเตฺรโภฺย นมสฺกุรุฯ อิติฯ
