2 Samuel 14
1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king’s heart was toward Absalom.
೧ಅರಸನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಂಬಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ತಿಳಿದು
2 Joab sent to Tekoa and brought a wise woman from there, and said to her, “Please act like a mourner, and put on mourning clothing, please, and don’t anoint yourself with oil; but be as a woman who has mourned a long time for the dead.
೨ತೆಕೋವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತೆಯಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಪ್ರಿಯರನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಹು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಶೋಕಪಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಶೋಕವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಣ್ಣೆಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ,
3 Go in to the king and speak like this to him.” So Joab put the words in her mouth.
೩ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ, ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
4 When the woman of Tekoa spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground, showed respect, and said, “Help, O king!”
೪ತೆಕೋವದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅರಸನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು, “ಅರಸನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದಳು.
5 The king said to her, “What ails you?” She answered, “Truly I am a widow, and my husband is dead.
೫ಅರಸನು, “ನಿನಗೇನಾಯಿತು?” ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಆಕೆಯು,
6 Your servant had two sons; and they both fought together in the field, and there was no one to part them, but the one struck the other and killed him.
೬“ನಾನು ವಿಧವೆ, ಗಂಡನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿದ್ದರು. ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗಳವಾಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಂದನು.
7 Behold, the whole family has risen against your servant, and they say, ‘Deliver him who struck his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he killed, and so destroy the heir also.’ Thus they would quench my coal which is left, and would leave to my husband neither name nor remainder on the surface of the earth.”
೭ಈಗ ನೋಡು ಬಳಗದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ‘ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವನೆಲ್ಲಿ?, ಅವನನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸು. ತಮ್ಮನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇವೆ’ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ನನಗುಳಿದಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಕೆಂಡವನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಗಂಡನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ, ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೂ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
8 The king said to the woman, “Go to your house, and I will give a command concerning you.”
೮ಆಗ ಅರಸನು, “ನೀನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 The woman of Tekoa said to the king, “My lord, O king, may the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”
೯ಆ ತೆಕೋವದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, “ಅರಸನೇ, ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಅಪರಾಧವು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮೇಲೆಯು ಇರಲಿ. ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಕ್ಕೂ ದೋಷ ಹತ್ತದಿರಲಿ” ಎಂದಳು.
10 The king said, “Whoever says anything to you, bring him to me, and he will not bother you any more.”
೧೦ಅರಸನು ಆಕೆಗೆ, “ಹಾಗೆ ಅಂದವರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟದಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
11 Then she said, “Please let the king remember Yahweh your God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son.” He said, “As Yahweh lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the earth.”
೧೧ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, “ಸಮೀಪ ಬಂಧುವು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಅರಸನು ತಾನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನಾಣೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಕೂದಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
12 Then the woman said, “Please let your servant speak a word to my lord the king.” He said, “Say on.”
೧೨ಆಗ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, “ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ” ಅನ್ನಲು ಅರಸನು, “ಹೇಳು” ಎಂದನು.
13 The woman said, “Why then have you devised such a thing against the people of God? For in speaking this word the king is as one who is guilty, in that the king does not bring home again his banished one.
೧೩ಆಕೆಯು, “ಅರಸನು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದರಿಂದ ದೇವಪ್ರಜೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು. ಅರಸನು ಹೀಗೇಕೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು?
14 For we must die, and are like water spilled on the ground, which can’t be gathered up again; neither does God take away life, but devises means, that he who is banished not be an outcast from him.
೧೪ನಾವು ಸಾಯುವವರು. ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ ನೀರು ಪುನಃ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಗದಂತೆ ಇರುವ ನೀರಿನಂತೆ ನಾವು. ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ. ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆತನು ಸದುಪಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವವನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
15 Now therefore, seeing that I have come to speak this word to my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid. Your servant said, ‘I will now speak to the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his servant.’
೧೫ಅದಿರಲಿ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ‘ನಾನು ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ, ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಿಯ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆನು ಎಂದಳು.
16 For the king will hear, to deliver his servant out of the hand of the man who would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
೧೬ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನೂ ದೇವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವನೆಂದು ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.’
17 Then your servant said, ‘Please let the word of my lord the king bring rest; for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad. May Yahweh, your God, be with you.’”
೧೭ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನ ಮಾತು ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನಾನು ಬಂದೆನು. ನ್ಯಾಯ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನು ದೇವದೂತನಂತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿ” ಎಂದಳು.
18 Then the king answered the woman, “Please don’t hide anything from me that I ask you.” The woman said, “Let my lord the king now speak.”
೧೮ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಚದೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದನು. ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು, “ಅರಸನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
19 The king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered, “As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken; for your servant Joab urged me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your servant.
೧೯ಅರಸನು, “ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋವಾಬನ ಕೈವಾಡ ಇದೆಯೇ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು, “ಅರಸನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಅರಸನು ಒಂದು ಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನಾವು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಡಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ, ಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಜಾರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿ, ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನೇ ಹೌದು.
20 Your servant Joab has done this thing to change the face of the matter. My lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.”
೨೦ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಯಿಂದ ಅರಸನು ಕೋಪಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರುವಂತೆ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಈ ರೀತಿ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನೇ ಇದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ದೇವದೂತನಂಥ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ. ಅವನು ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟಳು.
21 The king said to Joab, “Behold now, I have granted this thing. Go therefore, and bring the young man Absalom back.”
೨೧ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಹೋಗಿ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ” ಅಂದನು.
22 Joab fell to the ground on his face, showed respect, and blessed the king. Joab said, “Today your servant knows that I have found favor in your sight, my lord, O king, in that the king has performed the request of his servant.”
೨೨ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಹರಸಿ, “ಅರಸನೇ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ದೊರಕಿತೆಂದು ಈಗ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
23 So Joab arose and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.
೨೩ನಂತರ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಎದ್ದು ಗೆಷೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.
24 The king said, “Let him return to his own house, but let him not see my face.” So Absalom returned to his own house, and didn’t see the king’s face.
೨೪ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನು, “ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಅರಸನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
25 Now in all Israel there was no one to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty. From the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no defect in him.
೨೫ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಂತೆ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡ ಪುರುಷನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ನಡುನೆತ್ತಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಒಂದು ದೋಷವಾದರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
26 When he cut the hair of his head (now it was at every year’s end that he cut it; because it was heavy on him, therefore he cut it), he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels, after the king’s weight.
೨೬ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಕೂದಲು ಬಹು ಭಾರವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನ ಕೂದಲು ರಾಜರ ತೂಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇನ್ನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ತೂಕವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
27 Three sons were born to Absalom, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar. She was a woman with a beautiful face.
೨೭ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ, ಒಬ್ಬಳು ಮಗಳು ಇದ್ದಳು. ಮಗಳ ಹೆಸರು ತಾಮಾರಳು. ಈಕೆಯು ಬಹು ಸುಂದರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಳು.
28 Absalom lived two full years in Jerusalem, and he didn’t see the king’s face.
೨೮ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅರಸನ ಮೋರೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
29 Then Absalom sent for Joab, to send him to the king, but he would not come to him. Then he sent again a second time, but he would not come.
೨೯ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯೋವಾಬನನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
30 Therefore he said to his servants, “Behold, Joab’s field is near mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.
೩೦ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯೋವಾಬನ ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯ ಹೊಲವುಂಟಲ್ಲಾ, ಹೋಗಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
31 Then Joab arose and came to Absalom to his house, and said to him, “Why have your servants set my field on fire?”
೩೧ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ನನ್ನ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದೇಕೆ?” ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
32 Absalom answered Joab, “Behold, I sent to you, saying, ‘Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, “Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me to be there still. Now therefore, let me see the king’s face; and if there is iniquity in me, let him kill me.”’”
೩೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಗೆಷೂರಿನಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದೇಕೆ, ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆನು. ನಾನು ಹೇಗೂ ಅರಸನ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿ” ಎಂದನು.
33 So Joab came to the king and told him; and when he had called for Absalom, he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king; and the king kissed Absalom.
೩೩ಯೋವಾಬನು ಹೋಗಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.
