2 Corinthians 6
1 Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain.
E nós, como trabalhadores conjuntamente [com ele], rogamos que não tenhais recebido a graça de Deus em vão.
2 For he says, “At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
Porque ele diz: Em tempo agradável te ouvi, e no dia da salvação te socorri; eis agora o tempo agradável, eis agora o dia da salvação
3 We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,
Escândalo nenhum damos em coisa alguma, para que [nosso] trabalho não seja acusado.
4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God: in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,
Mas em tudo nos fizemos agradáveis como trabalhadores de Deus, em muita tolerância, em aflições, em necessidades, em angústias;
5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings,
Em açoites, em prisões, em tumultos, em trabalhos, em vigílias, em jejuns;
6 in pureness, in knowledge, in perseverance, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,
Em pureza, em conhecimento, em paciência, em bondade, no Espírito Santo, em amor não fingido;
7 in the word of truth, in the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Em palavra da verdade, em poder de Deus, com armas da justiça, à esquerda, e à direita;
8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report, as deceivers and yet true,
Por honra e por desonra; por infâmia e por boa fama; [considerados] como enganadores, e como verdadeiros.
9 as unknown and yet well known, as dying and behold—we live, as punished and not killed,
Como estranhos, e conhecidos; como morrendo, e eis que estamos vivendo; como castigados e [ainda] não mortos.
10 as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
Como entristecidos, porém sempre alegres; como pobres, porém enriquecendo a muitos; como nada tendo, e possuindo tudo.
11 Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians. Our heart is enlarged.
Para vós, ó coríntios, está aberta nossa boca; [e] nosso coração está ampliado.
12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.
Nós não temos lhes estreitado, mas vós estais estreitos em nossos sentimentos.
13 Now in return—I speak as to my children—you also open your hearts.
E em recompensa disto (falo como a filhos) alargai vós também.
14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
Não vos ajunteis em outro jugo com os descrentes. Porque, que parceria tem a justiça com injustiça? E que parceria tem a luz com as trevas?
15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever?
E que acordo há entre Cristo e Belial? Ou que parte tem o crente com o incrédulo?
16 What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”
E que acordo há entre o Templo de Deus e os ídolos? Porque vós sois o templo do Deus vivente, como Deus disse: Neles habitarei, e entre [eles] andarei; e eu serei seu Deus, e eles serão meu povo.
17 Therefore “‘Come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.
Portanto: saí do meio deles, e vos separai, diz o Senhor; e não toqueis coisa impura, e eu vos aceitarei.
18 I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
E eu vos serei por Pai, e vós sereis para mim filhos e filhas, diz o Senhor Todo Poderoso.
