2 Corinthians 6
1 Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain.
Als Mitarbeiter aber bitten wir auch, daß ihr die Gnade Gottes nicht umsonst empfangen sein lasset -
2 For he says, “At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
denn es heißt: zur willkommenen Zeit habe ich dich erhört und am Tage des Heils habe ich dir geholfen; siehe, jetzt ist die hochwillkommene Zeit, siehe, jetzt ist der Tag des Heils -
3 We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,
und geben wir niemand irgend Anstoß, damit das Amt nicht zu Spott werde.
4 but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God: in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses,
Vielmehr durch alles beweisen wir uns als Gehilfen Gottes: in vieler Geduld, in Drangsalen, in Nöten, in Aengsten,
5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings,
unter Schlägen, im Gefängnis, in Unruhe, in Mühen, Wachen und Fasten,
6 in pureness, in knowledge, in perseverance, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,
mit Reinheit, Erkenntnis, Langmut, Güte, heiligem Geist, lauterer Liebe,
7 in the word of truth, in the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
mit dem Worte der Wahrheit, mit Kraft Gottes, durch die Waffen der Gerechtigkeit zu Trutz und Schutz,
8 by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report, as deceivers and yet true,
durch Ehre und Schande, durch böse und gute Nachrede: als die da trügen und doch wahr sind,
9 as unknown and yet well known, as dying and behold—we live, as punished and not killed,
als die unbekannten und doch erkannten, als sterbende und siehe wir leben, als die da gezüchtigt werden und doch nicht getötet,
10 as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
die da betrübt werden und doch sich allezeit freuen, als die armen, die viele reich machen, als die da nichts haben und alles besitzen.
11 Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians. Our heart is enlarged.
Wir haben den Mund gegen euch aufgethan, ihr Männer von Korinth, das Herz ist uns weit geworden;
12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.
in uns ist es für euch nicht enge, es ist nur enge in eurem eigenen Innern
13 Now in return—I speak as to my children—you also open your hearts.
So vergeltet gleiches mit gleichem - ich spreche zu euch als zu Kindern - und lasset es auch in euch selbst weit werden.
14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
Gebet euch nicht dazu her am fremden Joch mit den Ungläubigen zu ziehen. Was haben Gerechtigkeit und Frevel für Teil an einander? oder was hat das Licht für Gemeinschaft mit der Finsternis?
15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever?
Wie stimmt Christus mit Belial, oder was hat der Gläubige mit dem Ungläubigen zu teilen?
16 What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”
Wie verträgt sich Gottes Tempel mit den Götzen? Denn wir sind der Tempel des lebendigen Gottes, wie Gott gesagt hat:
17 Therefore “‘Come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.
Darum gehet aus von ihnen und scheidet aus, spricht der Herr, und rührt nicht an was unrein ist, so werde ich euch annehmen,
18 I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
und werde euer Vater sein und ihr werdet mir Söhne und Töchter sein, spricht der Herr der Allherrscher.
