2 Corinthians 13
1 This is the third time I am coming to you. “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.”
Por tercera vez voy a vosotros. “Por el testimonio de dos testigos, o de tres, se decidirá toda cuestión”.
2 I have warned previously, and I warn again, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to those who have sinned before now and to all the rest that if I come again, I will not spare,
Lo he dicho antes y lo repito de antemano —ausente ahora, como en la segunda visita hallándome presente— a los que antes pecaron y a todos los demás, que si voy otra vez no perdonaré,
3 seeing that you seek a proof of Christ who speaks in me who is not weak, but is powerful in you.
ya que buscáis una prueba de que Cristo habla en mí, pues Él no es débil con vosotros, pero sí fuerte en vosotros.
4 For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we will live with him through the power of God toward you.
Porque fue crucificado como débil, mas vive del poder de Dios. Así también nosotros somos débiles en Él, pero viviremos con Él en virtud del poder de Dios en orden a vosotros.
5 Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don’t you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Probaos a vosotros mismos para saber si tenéis la fe. Vosotros mismos examinaos. ¿O no reconocéis vuestro interior como que Jesucristo está en vosotros? A no ser que estéis reprobados.
6 But I hope that you will know that we aren’t disqualified.
Espero conoceréis que nosotros no estamos reprobados.
7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we may seem to have failed.
Y rogamos a Dios que no hagáis ningún mal, no para que nosotros aparezcamos aprobados, sino para que vosotros hagáis el bien, aunque nosotros pasemos por réprobos.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
Porque nada podemos contra la verdad, sino en favor de la verdad.
9 For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. We also pray for this: your becoming perfect.
Nos regocijamos cuando nosotros somos flacos y vosotros fuertes. Lo que pedimos ( en nuestra oración ) es vuestro perfeccionamiento.
10 For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.
Por eso escribo estas cosas ausente, para que presente no tenga que usar de severidad conforme a la potestad que el Señor me dio para edificar y no para destruir.
11 Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Por lo demás, alegraos, hermanos, y perfeccionaos; consolaos, tened un mismo sentir, vivid en paz; y el Dios de la caridad y de la paz será con vosotros.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
Saludaos unos a otros en ósculo santo.
13 All the saints greet you.
Os saludan todos los santos.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
La gracia del Señor Jesucristo y la caridad de Dios ( Padre ) y la comunicación del Espíritu Santo sea con todos vosotros.
