2 Chronicles 30

1 Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

१हिज्कीयाने इस्राएल आणि यहूदामधील सर्व लोकांस निरोप पाठवले; तसेच एफ्राइम आणि मनश्शेच्या लोकांस पत्रे लिहिली. इस्राएलाचा परमेश्वर देव यांच्याप्रीत्यर्थ वल्हांडणाचा सण साजरा करायला यरूशलेमातील परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात यावे असे त्याने त्या निरोप पत्रांद्वारे कळवले.

2 For the king had taken counsel with his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem to keep the Passover in the second month.

२यरूशलेम येथील मंडळी आणि सर्व सरदार यांच्याशी विचार विनिमय करून राजा हिज्कीयाने वल्हांडणाचा सण दुसऱ्या महिन्यात साजरा करायचे ठरवले.

3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, and the people had not gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

३सणासाठी पुरेशा याजकांचे पवित्रीकरण झाले नव्हते तसेच यरूशलेमामध्ये सगळे लोक जमले नव्हते म्हणून नेहमीच्या वेळेला हा सण साजरा करता येणे शक्य नव्हते.

4 The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

४तेव्हा राजासह सर्व मंडळींना ही गोष्ट पसंत पडली.

5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it in great numbers in the way it is written.

५बैर-शेबापासून दान पर्यंत इस्राएलभर त्यांनी दवंडी पिटली कि परमेश्वर देव ह्याच्याप्रीत्यर्थ वल्हांडणासाठी यरूशलेमेला यायला सर्व लोकांस आवाहन करण्यात आले. मोशेच्या नियमशास्त्रात सांगितलेल्या पारंपारिक पध्दतीने बहुसंख्य लोकांनी फार वर्षात हा सण साजरा केला नव्हता.

6 So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, according to the commandment of the king, saying, “You children of Israel, turn again to Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant of you that have escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

६त्यामुळे निरोप्यांनी राजाचा संदेश इस्राएल आणि यहूदाभर फिरवला. त्याचा मसुदा असा होता: “इस्राएल लोकहो, अब्राहाम, इसहाक आणि इस्राएल (याकोब) यांच्या परमेश्वर देवाकडे परत फिरा. म्हणजे अश्शूर राजांच्या तावडीतून सुटून जे सुखरुप राहिले आहेत त्यांना परमेश्वर जवळ करील.

7 Don’t be like your fathers and like your brothers, who trespassed against Yahweh, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

७आपले पिता किंवा भाऊबंद यांचे अनुकरण करु नका. परमेश्वर त्यांचा देव होता, पण त्यांनी त्याच्याकडे पाठ फिरवली. तेव्हा त्यांच्याविषयी परमेश्वराने इतरांच्या मनात घृणा निर्माण केली व त्यांना निंदेला प्रवृत्त केले. त्यामुळे झालेली दुर्दशा तुम्ही पाहिली आहेच.

8 Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

८आपल्या पूर्वजांसारखे ताठर बनू नका. मनोभावे परमेश्वरास शरण जा मंदिराच्या पवित्र गाभाऱ्याकडे या. परमेश्वराने ते पवित्रस्थान कायमचे पवित्र केले आहे. परमेश्वर देवाची सेवा करा. तरच परमेश्वराचा तुमच्यावर भडकलेला कोप शांत होईल.

9 For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children will find compassion with those who led them captive, and will come again into this land, because Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you if you return to him.”

९तुम्ही परमेश्वराकडे परत फिरलात तर ज्याने तुमच्या भाऊबंदांना आणि लेकरांना कैद करून नेले त्यांना दयेचा पाझर फुटेल आणि तुमचे भाऊबंद आणि लेकरे आपल्याकडे परत येतील. परमेश्वर तुमचा देव दयाळू आणि कृपाळू आहे. त्याच्या आसऱ्याला गेलात तर तो तुमचा धिक्कार करणार नाही.”

10 So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun, but people ridiculed them and mocked them.

१०एफ्राइम आणि मनश्शेच्या प्रदेशात निरोपे गावोगाव फिरले. ते पार जबुलून पर्यंत गेले. पण लोकांनी मात्र उपहासाने वागून त्यांची हेटाळणी केली.

11 Nevertheless some men of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

११आशेर, मनश्शे आणि जबुलून मधल्या काहींनी मात्र असे न करता विनम्रतेने यरूशलेमेला प्रयाण केले.

12 Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

१२पुढे परमेश्वराच्या कृपेनेच असे घडून आले की राजा हिज्कीया आणि त्याचे सरदार यांच्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे वागायला यहूदाचे लोक तयार झाले. अशा रीतीने त्यांनी देवाचा शब्द पाळला.

13 Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

१३दुसऱ्या महिन्यात बेखमीर भाकरीचा सण साजरा करण्यासाठी लोक प्रचंड संख्येने यरूशलेमेत जमले. तो एक विशाल समुदाय होता.

14 They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and they took away all the altars for incense and threw them into the brook Kidron.

१४यरूशलेम मधल्या खोट्या नाट्या दैवतांसाठी उभारलेल्या वेद्या तसेच धूप जाळायच्या वेद्या या लोकांनी उखडून टाकल्या आणि किद्रोन खोऱ्यात नेऊन टाकून दिल्या.

15 Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into Yahweh’s house.

१५दुसऱ्या माहिन्याच्या चौदाव्या दिवशी त्यांनी वल्हांडणाच्या यज्ञपशूचा बली दिला. याजक आणि लेवी यांनी तेव्हा लज्जित होऊन स्वत: ला पवित्र केले आणि होमबली परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरात आणले.

16 They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.

१६देवाचा मनुष्य मोशेच्या नियमशास्त्रात सांगितल्याप्रमाणे ते आपापल्या जागी स्थानापन्न झाले. याजकांनी लेवीच्या हातून रक्त घेऊन ते वेदीवर शिंपडले.

17 For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.

१७येथे जमलेल्या पुष्कळशा लोकांनी स्वत: चे शुद्धीकरण केलेले नव्हते त्यामुळे वल्हांडणाचे यज्ञपशू मारायचा त्यांना अधिकार नव्हता. अशांसाठी ते काम लेवींनाच करावे लागत होते. लेवींनी सर्व यज्ञपशूंचे परमेश्वराकरता शुद्धीकरण केले.

18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover other than the way it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Yahweh pardon everyone

१८एफ्राइम, मनश्शे, इस्साखार आणि जबुलून इथून आलेल्या बऱ्याच लोकांनी वल्हांडणासाठी योग्य तऱ्हेने स्वत: चे शुद्धीकरण केलेले नव्हते. ही पध्दत मोशेच्या नियमशास्त्राला सोडून होती. पण हिज्कीयाने त्यांच्या वतीने प्रार्थना केली.

19 who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”

१९तो म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर देवा, तू भला आहेस. तुझी आराधना योग्य तऱ्हेने व्हावी असे या लोकांस मनापासून वाटते. पण धर्मशास्त्राप्रमाणे त्यांनी शुद्धीकरण केलेले नाही. त्यांना क्षमा कर. आमच्या पूर्वजांपासूनचा तूच आमचा देव आहेस. अत्यंत पवित्रस्थानाच्या नियमाप्रमाणे त्यांच्यापैकी कोणी पवित्र झालेले नसले तरी तू त्यांना क्षमा कर.”

20 Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

२०राजा हिज्कीयाने केलेली प्रार्थना परमेश्वराने ऐकली आणि लोकांस क्षमा केली.

21 The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness. The Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, singing with loud instruments to Yahweh.

२१इस्राएलाच्या प्रजेने यरूशलेमामध्ये बेखमीर भाकरीचा सण सात दिवस साजरा केला. लोक आनंदात होते. लेवी आणि याजक यांनी रोज मन: पूर्वक परमेश्वराची स्तुतिस्तोत्रे गाईली.

22 Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Yahweh. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings and making confession to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

२२परमेश्वराची सेवा कशी करावी याचे उत्तम ज्ञान असलेल्या लेवींना राजा हिज्कीया उत्तेजन देत होता. सणाचे सात दिवस आनंदात घालवत लोकांनी शांत्यर्पणे वाहिली आणि आपल्या पूर्वजांच्या परमेश्वर देवासमोर पापाची कबूली दिली.

23 The whole assembly took counsel to keep another seven days, and they kept another seven days with gladness.

२३वल्हांडणाचा सण आणखी सात दिवस साजरा करावा असे सर्वानुमते ठरले. त्याप्रमाणे त्यांनी आनंदाने साजरा केला.

24 For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

२४यहूदाचा राजा हिज्कीयाने एक हजार बैल आणि सात हजार मेंढरे व पुढाऱ्यांनी एक हजार बैल व दहा हजार मेंढरे या समुदायाला दिली. त्यासाठी बऱ्याच याजकांना पवित्र व्हावे लागले.

25 All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

२५यहूदातील सर्व लोक, याजकवर्ग, लेवी, इस्राएलमधील समुदाय तसेच इस्राएलातून यहूदात आलेले विदेशी प्रवासी हे सर्वजण अतिशय खुशीत होते.

26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.

२६यरूशलेमामध्ये आनंद पसरला होता. इस्राएलचा राजा दावीद याचा पुत्र शलमोन याच्या कारकिर्दीनंतर आजतागायत असा आनंदाचा प्रसंग कधी घडलाच नव्हता.

27 Then the Levitical priests arose and blessed the people. Their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.

२७याजक व लेवी यांनी उठून लोकांस आशीर्वाद देण्याची परमेश्वरास प्रार्थना केली. परमेश्वराने त्यांचे ऐकले. त्यांची प्रार्थना स्वर्गातील आपल्या पवित्र स्थानी परमेश्वरास ऐकू गेली.
