1 Thessalonians 5
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
А о летех и о временех, братие, не требе есть вам писати,
2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
сами бо вы известно весте, яко день Господень, якоже тать в нощи, тако приидет.
3 For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Егда бо рекут: мир и утверждение, тогда внезапу нападет на них всегубительство, якоже болезнь во чреве имущей, и не имут избежати.
4 But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
Вы же, братие, несте во тме, да день вас якоже тать постигнет:
5 You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
вси бо вы сынове света есте: и сынове дне: несмы нощи, ниже тьмы.
6 so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
Темже убо да не спим, якоже и прочии, но да бодрствуим и трезвимся.
7 For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
Спящии бо, в нощи спят, и упивающиися в нощи упиваются.
8 But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Мы же, сынове суще дне, да трезвимся, оболкшеся в броню веры и любве и шлем упования спасения,
9 For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
яко не положи нас Бог в гнев, но в получение спасения Господем нашим Иисус Христом,
10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
умершим за нас, да, аще бдим, аще ли спим, купно с Ним живем.
11 Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
Сего ради утешайте друг друга, и созидайте кийждо ближняго, якоже и творите.
12 But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
Молим же вы, братие, знайте труждающихся у вас, и настоятелей ваших о Господе, и наказующих вы,
13 and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
и имейте их по преизлиха в любви за дело их: мирствуйте в себе.
14 We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
Молим же вы, братие, вразумляйте безчинныя, утешайте малодушныя, заступайте немощныя, долготерпите ко всем.
15 See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
Блюдите, да никтоже зла за зло кому воздаст: но всегда доброе гоните и друг ко другу и ко всем.
16 Always rejoice.
Всегда радуйтеся.
17 Pray without ceasing.
Непрестанно молитеся.
18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
О всем благодарите: сия бо есть воля Божия о Христе Иисусе в вас.
19 Don’t quench the Spirit.
Духа не угашайте.
20 Don’t despise prophecies.
Пророчествия не уничижайте.
21 Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.
Вся же искушающе, добрая держите.
22 Abstain from every form of evil.
От всякия вещи злыя огребайтеся.
23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Сам же Бог мира да освятит вас всесовершенных во всем: и всесовершен ваш дух и душа и тело непорочно в пришествие Господа нашего Иисуса Христа да сохранится.
24 He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.
Верен Призвавый вас, Иже и сотворит.
25 Brothers, pray for us.
Братие, молитеся о нас.
26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
Целуйте братию всю лобзанием святым.
27 I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.
Заклинаю вы Господем, прочести послание сие пред всею святою братиею.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
Благодать Господа нашего Иисуса Христа с вами. Аминь.
