< 1 Thessalonians 4 >

1 Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.
Nʼikpeazụ, ụmụnna anyị, anyị na-arịọ ma na-akwagidekwa unu nʼime Onyenwe anyị Jisọs, dị ka unu mụtara site nʼaka anyị otu unu kwesiri isi bie ndụ, nakwa ime ihe ga-atọ Chineke ụtọ. Unu na-eme nke a karịa.
2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
Nʼihi na unu maara ụdị ndụmọdụ ahụ sị nʼaka Onyenwe anyị Jisọs nke anyị nyere unu.
3 For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,
Nʼihi na nke a bụ ọchịchọ Chineke, bụ ị dị nsọ unu. Ka unu wezuga onwe unu site na ịkwa iko,
4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,
ka onye ọbụla nʼime unu mata ido ahụ nke onwe ya nʼugwu na nʼịdị nsọ.
5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God,
Ọ bụghị nʼụzọ imejupụta ọchịchọ ọjọọ nke anụ ahụ dị ka ndị mba ọzọ na-amaghị Chineke.
6 that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.
Ka onye ọbụla ghara imegbu maọbụ ịghọgbu nwanna ya nʼokwu a. Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ga-ata onye na-eme ihe dị otu a ahụhụ, dị ka anyị gwara unu na mbụ, na-adọsikwa unu aka na ntị ike.
7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.
Nʼihi na ọkpụkpọ Chineke kpọrọ anyị abụghị ka anyị na-ebi ndụ adịghị ọcha kama ọ chọrọ ka anyị dịrị nsọ.
8 Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.
Ya mere, onye ọbụla nke jụrụ ịnara ntụziaka a, ọ bụghị mmadụ ka ọ jụrụ, kama ọ bụ Chineke onye na-enye unu Mmụọ Nsọ ya.
9 But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,
Ugbu a, ihe gbasara ịhụnanya nke kwesiri ịdị nʼetiti ụmụnna, o kwesighị ka anyị gwa unu ihe ọzọ banyere ya. Nʼihi na unu onwe unu bụ ndị Chineke kuziri ka unu nwee ịhụnanya nʼebe ibe unu nọ.
10 for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;
11 and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you,
Nweenụ agụụ ibi ndụ nwayọọ, na-arụkwanụ ọrụ dịịrị unu. Jirikwanụ aka unu na-arụ ọrụ dịka anyị gwara unu,
12 that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.
nke a ga-eme ka ndụ unu na-ebi kwa ụbọchị wetara unu nsọpụrụ nʼebe ndị na-ekweghị ekwe nọ, meekwa ka unu ghara i dabere nʼonye ọbụla.
13 But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
Ụmụnna m, anyị chọrọ ka unu mata ihe banyere ndị otu anyị ndị dara nʼụra ọnwụ, ya ewutela unu dịka o si ewute ndị ọzọ ndị na-enweghị olileanya.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
15 For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.
Nʼihi na okwu nke Onyenwe anyị nke anyị na-akụziri unu bụ nke a, na anyị ndị dị ndụ ruo ọbịbịa Onyenwe anyị agaghị ebu ndị dara nʼụra ọnwụ ụzọ.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,
Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị nʼonwe ya ga-esi nʼeluigwe rịdata, ọ ga-ewere olu ike kpọọ oku, werekwa olu nke onyeisi ndị mmụọ ozi na ụda opi ike nke Chineke. Mgbe ahụ ndị niile nwụrụ nʼime Kraịst ga-ebu ụzọ bilie.
17 then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
Mgbe ahụ, anyị onwe anyị, ndị dị ndụ, ndị fọdụrụ nʼụwa, ka a ga-eweli anyị na ha elu nʼime igwe ojii, ịga izute Onyenwe anyị na mbara eluigwe, ebe anyị na Onyenwe anyị ga-anọ ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Ya mere, werenụ okwu ndị a, na-agba onwe unu ume mgbe niile.
