< 1 Thessalonians 2 >

1 For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you wasn’t in vain,
Kasopi deitahteho, nangho kahung vil uhi mohseh ahipoi ti nangho tah in naheuve.
2 but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we grew bold in our God to tell you the Good News of God in much conflict.
Keiho nangho koma kahung masang jep uva Philippia ichan geiya gimbol hesohna katouvem ti nanghon naheuve. Hinama jongleh IPathen un Ama kipana Thupha chu ichan geiya doudalna aum vang'in, lung ngamtah a nangho koma kaseidoh thei nadiuvin hansanna eipeuve.
3 For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception.
Hiti chun kathu seiphongu hi lheplhahna thu ahilouleh lungdihlou pua ahilouleh doha lheplhahna ima seina kanei pouve ti nanghon naheuve.
4 But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak—not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
Ajehchu keiho hin Pathen a kona photchetna neiya Kipana Thupha thusei lea panga kahiuve. Kalung gonu hi miho lunglhaina hollouva Pathen lunglhaina kahol joh u ahi. Ama bou chun kalung put u ipi ahi ahet ahi.
5 For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness),
Nanghon nahet ngaima bangun keihon joulhep doha a nangho thunun kagopouve. Chule Pathen hi ijakai ahetoh a ahi, keihohi nasumu chanthei nadinga nangho toh jol le gol'a um'ah kahipouve!
6 nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.
Christa solchah kahiu hi mihem pachat channa dingin keihon nangho hihen midangho hijongleh, koima cha lung kahol pouve.
7 But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.
Christa solchahho hina jal a keihon nanghoa kona ngehna kanei theiyu ahi, hinla keiho nangho laha lung nengin kaum jouve ahilouleh keiho hi minun achate an apeh a avah a chule avetsui tobang kahiuve.
8 Even so, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not the Good News of God only, but also our own souls, because you had become very dear to us.
Keihon nangho kangailut behseh jeh un nangho to Pathen Kipana Thupha seh seh a chan neikhom pi hilouvin, kahin nau jong nangho dinga kaphal ngamu ahi.
9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail; for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the Good News of God.
Sopi deitahte, nalahuva ichan geiya katoh gimu hitam ti hi geldoh lou nahiuvem? Nahenguva Pathen Kipana Thupha seiphong na dinga, nangho pohgih pohsah kanop lou jeh un, sun le jan'in na katong gim un ahi.
10 You are witnesses with God how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.
Nangho tah keiho hettohsah nahiuve–chule Pathen jong chuti ahi-keiho hi nangho atahsan ho jouse a dinga kipumpeh a, lungdih pua chule themmona neilou kahiuve.
11 As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,
Chule keihon nangho khat khatcheh hi Pan achate abolna bangtah a kabol'u nahi.
12 to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.
Keihon nangho kangeh uva, katilkhou uva chule katem nau chu nangho Pathena dinga lomtah a nachonna dingu kati ahi. Ajeh chu aman aLenggam le aloupina a chan nei dinga nakouvu ahi.
13 For this cause we also thank God without ceasing that when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, God’s word, which also works in you who believe.
Hichejeh chun, keihon Pathen thangvahna kangadeh pouve, ajeh chu nanghon keihoa kona thu chu nasanu chun, kathuseiyu chu moh mihem thuseiyin nalapouve. Nanghon kathupoh uchu Pathena kon ahi tin nasanguve–hichu hijong hiyah ahi. Chule hiche thuhin nangho tahsan neihoa na atoh jom ahi.
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews
Chutima chun sopi deitahte, nanghon nagam miteuva kona gimbol hesohna nathoh u ahi. Hitia hi, nanghon Judea gam'a Pathen houbung ho umchan najomu ahi, amaho chun Christa Yeshua atahsan jeh uva, amiteu Judah ho khut a gimbol hesoh athoh u anahi.
15 who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out, and don’t please God, and are contrary to all men,
Ajeh chu Juda ho lah a phabep chun themgao ho anathat un, chule phabep chun Pakai Yeshua jeng jong chu athau anahi. Tun amahon keiho jeng jong eibol hesoh uve. Ama hon Pathen alunglhai pouvin chule mi jouse to kikala natong ahiuve.
16 forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.
Amahon chidang namdang ho lah a huhhingna Kipana Thupha kaseiphong le diu eijada gouve.
17 But we, brothers, being bereaved of you for a short season in presence, not in heart, tried even harder to see your face with great desire,
Kasopi deitahte, phat chomkhat a dinga nangho to eiki chomkhen jouvin (kalungun vang nangho nadalha dehpouve), kajo chanun hungkit kagouve, ajeh chu keihon nangho kamukit nom lheh jengu ahi.
18 because we wanted to come to you—indeed, I, Paul, once and again—but Satan hindered us.
Keiho kihambol tah in nangho kom kahung nomun, chule keima Paul jong avelvelin kahung gon, hinla Satan in eisuboijiuve.
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
I-Pakaiyu Yeshua ahung kilekit nikhoa a-anga idin tengu leh ipia kinepna le ipin eikipasah uva, chule ipi chu kachandiu tohman le lallukhuh hiding hitam? Hichu nangho nahiuve!
20 For you are our glory and our joy.
Henge, nangho keiho kisonpi le kipana nahiuve.
