< 1 Peter 5 >

1 Therefore I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed:
Mụ onwe m, onye bụ okenye na onyeama banyere ahụhụ Kraịst, bụrụkwa onye ga-eso keta oke nʼebube ya nke a gaje ikpughe, a na m arịọ ndị okenye nʼetiti unu arịrịọ a,
2 shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
na-azụnụ igwe atụrụ ahụ Chineke nyefere unu nʼaka. Ka unu na-elekọta ha, ọ bụghị nʼihi na unu agaghị ime otu a, kama ọ bụ ihe sitere nʼọchịchọ obi unu, dị ka Chineke chọrọ ka unu mee. Ọ bụkwaghị nʼihi ego unu ga-enweta, kama ọ bụ ịnụ ọkụ unu nʼije ozi.
3 not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
Unu abụla ọkaaka nʼebe ndị e nyefere unu nʼaka nọ. Kama bụrụnụ ihe ịma atụ nye igwe atụrụ ahụ.
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.
Ma mgbe Onyeisi ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ ahụ ga-abịa unu ga-anata okpueze ebube nke na-agaghị agbanwe agbanwe.
5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Nʼotu aka ahụ, unu ụmụ okorobịa, doonụ onwe unu nʼokpuru ndị bụ okenye. Unu niile werenụ obi umeala na-ejeritara onwe unu ozi, nʼihi na, “Chineke na-eguzo imegide ndị na-ebuli onwe ha elu, ma ọ na-enye ndị dị umeala nʼobi amara.”
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,
Ya mere, wedanụ onwe unu nʼokpuru aka dị ike nke Chineke, ka o bulie unu elu nʼoge ya.
7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
Hapụrụnụ ya nsogbu unu na nchegbu unu, nʼihi na ihe banyere unu na-emetụ ya nʼobi.
8 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Nọọnụ na njikere, na-echekwanụ nche nʼihi na onye iro unu bụ ekwensu ji oke ịgbọ ụja na-awagharị dịka ọdụm, na-achọ onye ọ ga-ala nʼiyi.
9 Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
Guzosienụ ike nʼokwukwe unu. Unu ekwela ka o merie unu, kama tụkwasịnụ Onyenwe anyị obi. Chetanụ na e nwere ọtụtụ ndị kwere ekwe dị ka unu ndị nọkwa nʼụdị ahụhụ a unu na-ahụ nʼụwa niile.
10 But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (aiōnios g166)
Chineke onye nwe amara niile, onye kpọbatara unu na ebube ebighị ebi ya nʼime Kraịst, mgbe unu hụrụ ahụhụ ndị a nwa oge, ya onwe ya ga-eweghachi unu nʼọnọdụ unu, mee ka unu dị nnọọ ike, ndị guzo chịm ma kwesikwa ntụkwasị obi. (aiōnios g166)
11 To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Ọ bụ ya nwe ike niile ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.
Ọ bụ site nʼinyeaka Saịlas onye m hụtara dị ka nwanna kwesiri ntụkwasị obi ka m ji deere unu mkpụrụ okwu ole na ole ndị a nke m ji agbaa unu ume na-ekwupụtakwa na nke a bụ eziokwu dị nʼamara Chineke. Guzosienụ ike nʼime ya.
13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you. So does Mark, my son.
Nwanyị ahụ nọ na Babilọn, nke a họpụtara unu na ya, na-ekele unu. Mak, ezi nwa m nwoke na-ekelekwa unu.
14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to all of you who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Jirinụ isurita ọnụ ịhụnanya kelerịta onwe unu. Ka udo dịnyere unu niile nọ nʼime Kraịst.
